NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 Al eluia! Give thanks to Yahweh, cal on his name, proclaim his deeds to the peoples!	1 ALLELUJA! Áldjátok az Urat, hívjátok segítségül nevét, hirdessétek a nemzetek közt műveit!
2 Sing to him, make music for him, recount all his wonders!	2 Énekeljetek és zengjetek zsoltárt neki, beszéljétek el minden csodatettét.
3 Glory in his holy name, let the hearts that seek Yahweh rejoice!	3 Dicsekedjetek szent nevével, örvendezzen azoknak a szíve, akik az Urat keresik.
4 Seek Yahweh and his strength, tirelessly seek his presence!	4 Keressétek az Urat és erejét, keressétek szüntelenül arcát.
5 Remember the marvels he has done, his wonders, the judgements he has spoken.	5 Emlékezzetek meg csodatetteiről, amelyeket művelt, jeleiről és szája ítéleteiről,
6 Stock of Abraham, his servant, children of Jacob whom he chose!	6 ti, az ő szolgájának, Ábrahám utódai, választottjának, Jákobnak fiai.
7 He is Yahweh our God, his judgements touch the whole world.	7 Ő, az Úr, a mi Istenünk, az egész földön ő ítélkezik.
8 He remembers his covenant for ever, the promise he laid down for a thousand generations,	8 Örökké gondol szövetségére, szavára, amelyet ezer nemzedékre adott,
9 which he concluded with Abraham, the oath he swore to Isaac.	9 arra, amit Ábrahámmal megkötött, amire megesküdött Izsáknak.
10 He established it as a statute for Jacob, an everlasting covenant with Israel,	10 Amit Jákobnak törvényül hagyott, örök szövetségül Izraelnek,
11 saying, 'To you I give a land, Canaan, your allotted birthright.'	11 mondván: »Neked adom Kánaán földjét, mint kötéllel kimért örökségteket.«
12 When they were insignificant in numbers, a handful of strangers in the land,	12 Pedig csekély számmal voltak igen kevesen és jövevények azon a földön,
13 wandering from country to country, from one kingdom and nation to another,	13 és nemzettől nemzethez vándoroltak, egyik országból a másikba.
14 he al owed no one to oppress them; for their sake he instructed kings,	14 Nem engedte, hogy bárki is ártson nekik, sőt királyokat fenyített meg miattuk:
15 'Do not touch my anointed ones, to my prophets you may do no harm.'	15 »Fölkentjeimhez ne nyúljatok, ne bántsátok prófétáimat!«
16 He cal ed down famine on the land, he took away their food supply;	16 Amikor éhséget bocsátott az országra, s összetörte kenyértartó botjukat.
17 he sent a man ahead of them, Joseph, sold as a slave.	17 Elküldött előttük egy férfit, rabszolgának adták el Józsefet.
18 So his feet were weighed down with shackles, his neck was put in irons.	18 Béklyóba szorították lábát, vas került a nyakára,
19 In due time his prophecy was fulfilled, the word of Yahweh proved him true.	19 amíg szava be nem teljesedett: az Úr igéje ugyanis igazolta őt.
20 The king sent orders to release him, the ruler of nations set him free;	20 A király elküldött és megszabadíttatta, a népek fejedelme szabadon engedte;
21 he put him in charge of his household, the ruler of al he possessed,	21 Háza urává tette őt és minden jószágának parancsolójává,
22 to instruct his princes as he saw fit, to teach his counsel ors wisdom.	22 hogy főembereit tetszése szerint kormányozza, és bölcsességre tanítsa véneit.
23 Then Israel migrated to Egypt, Jacob settled in the country of Ham.	23 Erre Izrael Egyiptomba költözött, és Jákob jövevény lett Kám földjén.
24 He made his people increase in numbers, he gave them more strength than their enemies,	24 Nagyon elszaporította népét az Úr, erősebbé tette ellenségeinél.
25 whose heart he turned to hate his own people, to double-cross his servants.	25 Majd megváltoztatta azok szívét, úgyhogy meggyűlölték népét, szolgáival álnokul bántak.
26 He sent his servant Moses, and Aaron, the man of his choice.	26 Erre elküldte szolgáját, Mózest és Áront, a választottját,
27 They worked there the wonders he commanded, marvels in the country of Ham.	27 és végbevitette velük beszédes jeleit és csodatetteit Kám földjén.
28 Darkness he sent, and darkness fel , but that nation defied his orders.	28 Sötétséget küldött és homályt támasztott, mert lázongtak szava ellen.
29 He turned their rivers to blood, and kil ed al the fish in them.	29 Vizüket vérré változtatta, halaikat megölte.
30 Their country was overrun with frogs, even in the royal apartments;	30 Földjük békákat ontott királyaik szobáira.
31 at his word came flies, and mosquitoes throughout the country.	31 Szavára legyek támadtak, szúnyogok lepték el egész határukat.
32 He gave them hail as their rain, flames of fire in their land;	32 Esőjüket jégesővé tette, égő tüzet bocsátott földjükre.
33 he blasted their vine and their fig tree, and shattered the trees of the country.	33 Elverte szőlőjüket, fügefáikat, összetörte földjükön a fákat.
34 At his word came locusts, hoppers beyond al counting;	34 Szavára szöcskék nyüzsögtek, és megszámlálhatatlan vándorsáska,
35 they devoured every green thing in the land, devoured al the produce of the soil.	35 és megemésztett földjükön minden növényt, megette földjük minden gyümölcsét.
36 He struck al the first-born in their land, the flower of all their manhood;	36 Megölte országuk minden elsőszülöttét, erejük minden zsengéjét.
37 he led Israel out with silver and gold; in their tribes there was none who stumbled.	37 Aztán kivezette őket ezüsttel-arannyal megrakottan, törzseikben senki sem volt beteg.
38 Egypt was glad at their leaving, for terror of Israel had seized them.	38 Egyiptom örült, hogy kivonultak, mert rájuk nehezedett a tőlük való félelem.
39 He spread out a cloud to cover them, and fire to light up the night.	39 Oltalmukra felhőt terjesztett föléjük és tűzzel világított nekik éjszaka.
40 They asked and he brought them quails, food from heaven to their hearts' content;	40 Kérésükre fürjek jöttek, és mennyei kenyérrel lakatta jól őket.
41 he opened a rock, the waters gushed out, and flowed in dry ground as a river.	41 Megnyitotta a sziklát és vizek fakadtak, folyók eredtek a sivatagban.
42 Faithful to his sacred promise, given to his servant Abraham,	42 Mert megemlékezett szent szaváról, amelyet szolgájához, Ábrahámhoz intézett.
43 he led out his people with rejoicing, his chosen ones with shouts of joy.	43 Kivezette népét ujjongásban, választottait vigasságban.
44 He gave them the territories of nations, they reaped the fruit of other people's labours,	44 Nekik adta a nemzetek országait, elfoglalták a népek tulajdonát,
