NEW JERUSALEM	EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL
1 Al eluia! Give thanks to Yahweh, cal on his name, proclaim his deeds to the peoples!	1 Dankt dem Herrn! Ruft seinen Namen an! Macht unter den Völkern seine Taten bekannt!
2 Sing to him, make music for him, recount all his wonders!	2 Singt ihm und spielt ihm, sinnt nach über all seine Wunder!
3 Glory in his holy name, let the hearts that seek Yahweh rejoice!	3 Rühmt euch seines heiligen Namens! Alle, die den Herrn suchen, sollen sich von Herzen freuen.
4 Seek Yahweh and his strength, tirelessly seek his presence!	4 Fragt nach dem Herrn und seiner Macht; sucht sein Antlitz allezeit!
5 Remember the marvels he has done, his wonders, the judgements he has spoken.	5 Denkt an die Wunder, die er getan hat, an seine Zeichen und die Beschlüsse aus seinem Mund.
6 Stock of Abraham, his servant, children of Jacob whom he chose!	6 Bedenkt es, ihr Nachkommen seines Knechtes Abraham, ihr Kinder Jakobs, die er erwählt hat.
7 He is Yahweh our God, his judgements touch the whole world.	7 Er, der Herr, ist unser Gott. Seine Herrschaft umgreift die Erde.
8 He remembers his covenant for ever, the promise he laid down for a thousand generations,	8 Ewig denkt er an seinen Bund, an das Wort, das er gegeben hat für tausend Geschlechter,
9 which he concluded with Abraham, the oath he swore to Isaac.	9 an den Bund, den er mit Abraham geschlossen, an den Eid, den er Isaak geschworen hat.
10 He established it as a statute for Jacob, an everlasting covenant with Israel,	10 Er bestimmte ihn als Satzung für Jakob, als ewigen Bund für Israel.
11 saying, 'To you I give a land, Canaan, your allotted birthright.'	11 Er sprach: Dir will ich Kanaan geben, das Land, das dir als Erbe bestimmt ist.

15 'Do not touch my anointed ones, to my prophets you may do no harm.'	15 «Tastet meine Gesalbten nicht an, tut meinen Propheten nichts zuleide!»
16 He cal ed down famine on the land, he took away their food supply;	16 Dann aber rief er den Hunger ins Land, entzog ihnen allen Vorrat an Brot.
17 he sent a man ahead of them, Joseph, sold as a slave.	17 Doch hatte er ihnen einen Mann vorausgesandt: Josef wurde als Sklave verkauft.
18 So his feet were weighed down with shackles, his neck was put in irons.	18 Man spannte seine Füße in Fesseln und zwängte seinen Hals ins Eisen
19 In due time his prophecy was fulfilled, the word of Yahweh proved him true.	19 bis zu der Zeit, als sein Wort sich erfüllte und der Spruch des Herrn ihm Recht gab.
20 The king sent orders to release him, the ruler of nations set him free;	20 Da sandte der König einen Boten und ließ ihn frei, der Herrscher der Völker ließ ihn heraus.
21 he put him in charge of his household, the ruler of al he possessed,	21 Er bestellte ihn zum Herrn über sein Haus, zum Gebieter über seinen ganzen Besitz.
22 to instruct his princes as he saw fit, to teach his counsel ors wisdom.	22 Er sollte die Fürsten lenken nach seinem Sinn und die Ältesten Weisheit lehren.
23 Then Israel migrated to Egypt, Jacob settled in the country of Ham.	23 Und Israel kam nach Ägypten, Jakob wurde Gast im Lande Hams.
24 He made his people increase in numbers, he gave them more strength than their enemies,	24 Da mehrte Gott sein Volk gewaltig, machte es stärker als das Volk der Bedrücker.
25 whose heart he turned to hate his own people, to double-cross his servants.	25 Er wandelte ihren Sinn zum Hass gegen sein Volk, sodass sie an seinen Knechten tückisch handelten.
26 He sent his servant Moses, and Aaron, the man of his choice.	26 Dann sandte er Mose, seinen Knecht, und Aaron, den Gott sich erwählte.
27 They worked there the wonders he commanded, marvels in the country of Ham.	27 Sie wirkten unter ihnen seine Zeichen, im Lande Hams seine Wunder.
28 Darkness he sent, and darkness fel , but that nation defied his orders.	28 Er sandte Finsternis, da wurde es dunkel; doch achteten sie nicht auf sein Wort.
29 He turned their rivers to blood, and kil ed al the fish in them.	29 Er verwandelte ihre Gewässer in Blut und ließ ihre Fische sterben.
30 Their country was overrun with frogs, even in the royal apartments;	30 Ihr Land wimmelte von Fröschen bis hinein in den Palast des Königs.
31 at his word came flies, and mosquitoes throughout the country.	31 Er gebot, da kamen Schwärme von Fliegen und von Stechmücken über das ganze Gebiet.
32 He gave them hail as their rain, flames of fire in their land;	32 Er schickte ihnen Hagel statt Regen, flammendes Feuer auf ihr Land.
33 he blasted their vine and their fig tree, and shattered the trees of the country.	33 Er zerschlug ihnen Weinstock und Feigenbaum und knickte in ihrem Gebiet die Bäume um.
34 At his word came locusts, hoppers beyond al counting;	34 Er gebot, da kamen Schwärme von Grillen und Wanderheuschrecken in gewaltiger Zahl.
35 they devoured every green thing in the land, devoured al the produce of the soil.	35 Sie fraßen alles Grün in ihrem Land, sie fraßen die Frucht ihrer Felder.
36 He struck al the first-born in their land, the flower of all their manhood;	36 Er erschlug im Land jede Erstgeburt, die ganze Blüte der Jugend.
37 he led Israel out with silver and gold; in their tribes there was none who stumbled.	37 Er führte sein Volk heraus mit Silber und Gold; in seinen Stämmen fand sich kein Schwächling.
38 Egypt was glad at their leaving, for terror of Israel had seized them.	38 Bei ihrem Auszug waren die Ägypter froh; denn Schrecken vor ihnen hatte sie alle befallen.
39 He spread out a cloud to cover them, and fire to light up the night.	39 Eine Wolke breitete er aus, um sie zu decken, und Feuer, um die Nacht zu erleuchten.
40 They asked and he brought them quails, food from heaven to their hearts' content;	40 Als sie ihn baten, schickte er Wachteln und sättigte sie mit Brot vom Himmel.
41 he opened a rock, the waters gushed out, and flowed in dry ground as a river.	41 Er öffnete den Felsen und Wasser entquoll ihm, wie ein Strom floss es dahin in der Wüste.
42 Faithful to his sacred promise, given to his servant Abraham,	42 Denn er dachte an sein heiliges Wort und an Abraham, seinen Knecht.
43 he led out his people with rejoicing, his chosen ones with shouts of joy.	43 Er führte sein Volk heraus in Freude, seine Erwählten in Jubel.
44 He gave them the territories of nations, they reaped the fruit of other people's labours,	44 Er gab ihnen die Länder der Völker und ließ sie den Besitz der Nationen gewinnen,
45 on condition that they kept his statutes, and remained obedient to his laws.	45 damit sie seine Satzungen hielten und seine Gebote befolgten. Halleluja!
