Psalms 105

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA RICCIOTTI
1 Al eluia! Give thanks to Yahweh, cal on his name, proclaim his deeds to the peoples!	1 - Alleluia! Celebrate il Signore, perch'egli è buono, perchè in eterno sta la sua grazia.
2 Sing to him, make music for him, recount all his wonders!	2 Chi dirà le forti geste del Signore, racconterà tutte le sue lodi?
3 Glory in his holy name, let the hearts that seek Yahweh rejoice!	3 Beati, quei che osservano il diritto e pratican la giustizia in ogni tempo!
4 Seek Yahweh and his strength, tirelessly seek his presence!	4 Ricordati di noi, o Signore, conforme alla benevolenza per il tuo popolo, visitaci con la tua salvezza!
5 Remember the marvels he has done, his wonders, the judgements he has spoken.	5 affinchè contempliamo la felicità dei tuoi eletti, ci rallegriamo dell'allegrezza del tuo popolo, ci gloriamo col tuo retaggio.
6 Stock of Abraham, his servant, children of Jacob whom he chose!	6 Abbiam peccato come i padri nostri, ingiustamente abbiamo operato, abbiam commesso l'iniquità.
7 He is Yahweh our God, his judgements touch the whole world.	7 I padri nostri in Egitto non intesero i tuoi portenti, non si ricordaron dell'abbondanza del tuo favore, e si ribellarono salendo al mare, al mar Rosso.
8 He remembers his covenant for ever, the promise he laid down for a thousand generations,	8 E Dio [tuttavia] li salvò a cagione del suo nome, per far nota la sua potenza.
9 which he concluded with Abraham, the oath he swore to Isaac.	9 Minacciò il mar Rosso, e quello si seccò, e li condusse per gli abissi [marini] come per una deserta [pianura].
10 He established it as a statute for Jacob, an everlasting covenant with Israel,	10 E li salvò dalla mano di coloro che gli odiavanoe li liberò dalla mano del nemico.
11 saying, 'To you I give a land, Canaan, your allotted birthright.'	11 E l'acqua ricoprì i loro oppressori, non ne rimase uno.
12 When they were insignificant in numbers, a handful of strangers in the land,	12 Credettero [allora] alle sue parole e cantaron le sue lodi.
13 wandering from country to country, from one kingdom and nation to another,	13 [Ma] presto dimenticaron le sue opere, e non aspettarono il [compiersi del] suo disegno.
14 he al owed no one to oppress them; for their sake he instructed kings,	14 E arsero di desiderio nel deserto, e tentaron Dio nella solitudine.
15 'Do not touch my anointed ones, to my prophets you may do no harm.'	15 E dette loro ciò che chiedevano, ma infuse consunzione nelle anime loro.
16 He cal ed down famine on the land, he took away their food supply;	16 E [con la lor gelosia] irritaron Mosè negli accampamenti [irritarono] Aronne, il santo del Signore.
17 he sent a man ahead of them, Joseph, sold as a slave.	17 S'apri la terra e inghiottì Datan, e [si] richiuse nella congrega di Abiron.
18 So his feet were weighed down with shackles, his neck was put in irons.	18 E divampò il fuoco in mezzo alla loro turba, la fiamma arse [que]gli empi.
19 In due time his prophecy was fulfilled, the word of Yahweh proved him true.	19 E fecero un vitello in Horebe adorarono l'[idolo] scolpito.
20 The king sent orders to release him, the ruler of nations set him free;	20 E mutarono [il Signore ch'era] la loro gloria, nella figura d'un vitello che mangia l'erba.
21 he put him in charge of his household, the ruler of al he possessed,	21 Si dimenticaron di Dio che gli aveva salvati, che aveva fatto grandi cose in Egitto,
22 to instruct his princes as he saw fit, to teach his counsel ors wisdom.	22 cose mirabili nella terra di Cam, cose terribili nel mar Rosso.
23 Then Israel migrated to Egypt, Jacob settled in the country of Ham.	23 E parlò di sterminarli [e l'avrebbe fatto], se Mosè suo elettonon si fosse messo sulla breccia in faccia a lui, per distornarne l'ira, sì che non gli sterminasse.
24 He made his people increase in numbers, he gave them more strength than their enemies,	24 E disprezzarono la terra desiderabile, non credettero alla sua parola;
25 whose heart he turned to hate his own people, to double-cross his servants.	25 e mormoraron nelle loro tende, non ascoltarono la voce del Signore.
26 He sent his servant Moses, and Aaron, the man of his choice.	26 Levò egli allora la sua mano contro di loro, [giurando] d'abbatterli nel deserto,
27 They worked there the wonders he commanded, marvels in the country of Ham.	27 e dissipar la loro semenza tra le nazionie disperderli in [tutti i] paesi.
28 Darkness he sent, and darkness fel , but that nation defied his orders.	28 E s'iniziarono al culto di Beelfegore mangiarono i sacrifizi de' morti.
29 He turned their rivers to blood, and kil ed al the fish in them.	29 E irritaron Dio con i loro portamenti, e grande fu tra essi la rovina.
30 Their country was overrun with frogs, even in the royal apartments;	30 Ma sorse Finees e [lo] placò, e il flagello cessò:
31 at his word came flies, and mosquitoes throughout the country.	31 e ciò gli fu reputato a giustizia, di generazione in generazione, in perpetuo.
32 He gave them hail as their rain, flames of fire in their land;	32 L'irritaron poi alle Acque della Contradizione, e ne soffrì Mosè per cagion loro.
33 he blasted their vine and their fig tree, and shattered the trees of the country.	33 Perchè esacerbaron lo spirito di lui, e [sconsideratamente] parlò con le sue labbra.
34 At his word came locusts, hoppers beyond al counting;	34 Non sterminarono i popolicome aveva loro detto il Signore.
35 they devoured every green thing in the land, devoured al the produce of the soil.	35 E si mescolaron tra le gentie impararono le opere loro.
36 He struck al the first-born in their land, the flower of all their manhood;	36 E adorarono i loro idoli, e fu per essi una pietra d'inciampo.
37 he led Israel out with silver and gold; in their tribes there was none who stumbled.	37 E immolarono i figli loroe le loro figlie ai demoni.
38 Egypt was glad at their leaving, for terror of Israel had seized them.	38 E versarono sangue innocente, il sangue de' loro figliuoli e delle figlie loro, che sacrificarono agl'idoli di Canaan, e fu profanata la terra con [reati di] sangue.
39 He spread out a cloud to cover them, and fire to light up the night.	39 E si contaminarono con le opere loroe adulteri furono nella loro condotta.
40 They asked and he brought them quails, food from heaven to their hearts' content;	40 S'accese [allora] d'ira il Signore contro il suo popoloe prese in abominio la sua eredità.
41 he opened a rock, the waters gushed out, and flowed in dry ground as a river.	41 E gli abbandonò in mano delle genti, e dominarono su loro quei che gli odiavano.
42 Faithful to his sacred promise, given to his servant Abraham,	42 Gli oppressero i loro nemici; e furono umiliati sotto il pugno loro.
43 he led out his people with rejoicing, his chosen ones with shouts of joy.	43 Spesso [poi] li liberò; ma lo sdegnavan [sempre] coi loro propositi, e furon [novamente] prostrati per le loro iniquità.
44 He gave them the territories of nations, they reaped the fruit of other people's labours,	44 E [tuttavia] li rimirò quand'eran nell'angustiae ascoltò la loro supplica.
45 on condition that they kept his statutes, and remained obedient to his laws.	45 Si ricordò del suo patto, si pentì nell'abbondanza della sua misericordia.
	46 E fece lor trovar pietàal cospetto di quanti gli avevan fatti schiavi.
	47 Salvaci, o Signore Iddio nostro, e radunaci di tra le nazioni, perchè celebriamo il tuo santo nome, e ci gloriamo nel [cantar] le tue lodi.
	48 Benedite il Signore Iddio d'Israele di secolo in secolo! e tutto il popolo dica: «Così sia!». [Alleluia!]
