Jesaja 59

EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 Seht her, die Hand des Herrn ist nicht zu kurz, um zu helfen, sein Ohr ist nicht schwerhörig, sodass er nicht hört.	1 Behold the hand of the Lord is not shortened that it cannot save, neither is his ear heavy that it cannot hear.
2 Nein, was zwischen euch und eurem Gott steht, das sind eure Vergehen; eure Sünden verdecken sein Gesicht, sodass er euch nicht hört.	2 But your iniquities have divided between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you that he should not hear.
3 Denn eure Hände sind mit Blut befleckt, eure Finger mit Unrecht. Eure Lippen lügen, eure Zunge flüstert (Worte voll) Bosheit.	3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity: your lips have spoken lies, and your tongue uttereth iniquity.
4 Keiner bringt gerechte Klagen vor, keiner hält ehrlich Gericht. Man stützt sich auf Nichtigkeiten und stellt haltlose Behauptungen auf; man geht schwanger mit Unheil und bringt Verderben zur Welt.	4 There is none that calleth upon justice, neither is there any one that judgeth truly: but they trust in a mere nothing, and speak vanities: they have conceived labour, and brought forth iniquity.
5 Schlangeneier brüten sie aus und weben Spinnengewebe. Wer von ihren Eiern isst, muss sterben; zerdrückt man eines, kriecht eine Natter heraus.	5 They have broken the eggs of asps, and have woven the webs of spiders: he that shall eat of their eggs, shall die: and that which is brought out, shall be hatched into a basilisk.
6 Die Fäden, die sie spinnen, taugen nicht zu Gewändern, man kann sich nicht bekleiden mit dem, was sie erzeugen. Ihre Taten sind Taten des Unheils, Gewalttat ist in ihren Händen.	6 Their webs shall not be for clothing, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are unprofitable works, and the work of iniquity is in their hands.
7 Sie laufen dem Bösen nach, schnell sind sie dabei, unschuldiges Blut zu vergießen. Ihre Gedanken sind Gedanken des Unheils, Scherben und Verderben sind auf ihren Straßen.	7 Their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are unprofitable thoughts: wasting and destruction are in their ways.
8 Den Weg des Friedens kennen sie nicht, auf ihren Spuren gibt es kein Recht. Sie gehen krumme Pfade; keiner, der ihnen folgt, lernt den Frieden kennen.	8 They have not known the way of peace, and there is no judgment in their steps: their paths are become crooked to them, every one that treadeth in them, knoweth no peace.
9 Darum bleibt das Recht von uns fern, die Gerechtigkeit erreicht uns nicht. Wir hoffen auf Licht, doch es bleibt finster; wir hoffen auf den Anbruch des Tages, doch wir gehen im Dunkeln.	9 Therefore is judgment far from us, and justice shall not overtake us. We looked for light, and behold darkness: brightness, and we have walked in the dark.
10 Wir tasten uns wie Blinde an der Wand entlang und tappen dahin, als hätten wir keine Augen. Wir stolpern am Mittag, als wäre schon Dämmerung, wir leben im Finstern wie die Toten.	10 We have groped for the wall, and like the blind we have groped as if we had no eyes: we have stumbled at noonday as in darkness, we are in dark places as dead men.
11 Wir brummen alle wie Bären und gurren wie Tauben. Wir hoffen auf unser Recht, doch es kommt nicht, und auf die Rettung, doch sie bleibt uns fern.	11 We shall roar all of us like bears, and shall lament as mournful doves. We have looked for judgment, and there is none: for salvation, and it is far from us.
12 Denn unsere Frevel gegen dich sind zahlreich, unsere Sünden klagen uns an. Wir sind uns unserer Vergehen bewusst, wir kennen unsere Schuld:	12 For our iniquities are multiplied before thee, and our sins have testified against us: for our wicked doings are with us, and we have known our iniquities:
13 Untreue und Verleugnung des Herrn, Abkehr von unserem Gott. Wir reden von Gewalttat und Aufruhr, wir haben Lügen im Herzen und sprechen sie aus.	13 In sinning and lying against the Lord: and we have turned away so that we went not after our God, but spoke calumny and transgression : we have conceived, and uttered from the heart, words of falsehood.
14 So weicht das Recht zurück, die Gerechtigkeit bleibt in der Ferne. Die Redlichkeit kommt auf dem Marktplatz zu Fall, die Rechtschaffenheit findet nirgendwo Einlass.	14 And judgment is turned away backward, and justice hath stood far off: because truth bath fallen down in the street, and equity could not come in.
15 Jede Redlichkeit wird vermisst, wer das Böse meidet, wird ausgeraubt. Das hat der Herr gesehen und ihm missfiel, dass es kein Recht mehr gab.	15 And truth hath been forgotten: and he that departed from evil, lay open to be a prey: and the Lord saw, and it appeared evil in his eyes, because there is no judgment.
16 Er sah, dass keiner sich regte, und war entsetzt, dass niemand einschritt. Da half ihm sein eigener Arm, seine eigene Gerechtigkeit war seine Stütze.	16 And he saw that there is not a man: and he stood astonished, because there is none to oppose himself: and his own arm brought salvation to him, and his own justice supported him.
17 Er legte die Gerechtigkeit an wie einen Panzer und setzte den Helm der Hilfe auf. Er machte die Rache zu seinem Gewand und umhüllte sich mit leidenschaftlichem Eifer wie mit einem Mantel.	17 He put on justice as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation upon his head: he put on the garments of vengeance, and was clad with zeal as with a cloak.
18 Wie es die Taten verdienen, so übt er Vergeltung; er zürnt seinen Gegnern und vergilt seinen Feinden; bis hin zu den Inseln übt er Vergeltung.	18 As unto revenge, as it were to repay wrath to his adversaries, and a reward to his enemies: he will repay the like to the islands.
19 Dann fürchtet man im Westen den Namen des Herrn und im Osten seine Herrlichkeit.Ja, er kommt wie ein reißender Strom, den der Sturm des Herrn vor sich hertreibt.	19 And they from the west, shall fear the name of the Lord: and they from the rising of the sun, his glory: when he shall come as a violent stream, which the spirit of the Lord driveth on:
20 Doch für Zion kommt er als Erlöser und für alle in Jakob, die umkehren von ihrer Sünde - Spruch des Herrn.	20 And there shall come a, redeemer to Sion, and to them that return from iniquity in Jacob, saith the Lord.
21 Das ist der Bund, den ich mit ihnen schließe, spricht der Herr: Mein Geist, der auf dir ruht, soll nicht von dir weichen und meine Worte, die ich dir in den Mund gelegt habe, sollen immer in deinem Mund bleiben und im Mund deiner Kinder und im Mund deiner Enkel, jetzt und in Ewigkeit - spricht der Herr.	21 This is my covenant with them, saith the Lord: My spirit that is in thee, and my words that I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the Lord, from henceforth and for ever.
