Geremia 30

BIBBIA CEI 1974	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Parola che fu rivolta a Geremia da parte del Signore:	1 The word which came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, as follows,
2 Dice il Signore, Dio di Israele: "Scriviti in un libro tutte le cose che ti dirò,	2 'Yahweh, God of Israel, says this, "Write for yourself in a book al the words I have spoken to you.
3 perché, ecco, verranno giorni - dice il Signore - nei quali cambierò la sorte del mio popolo, di Israele e di Giuda - dice il Signore -; li ricondurrò nel paese che ho concesso ai loro padri e ne prenderanno possesso".	3 For look, the days are coming, Yahweh declares, when I shal bring back the captives of my peopleIsrael (and Judah), Yahweh says. I shall make them come back and take possession of the country I gave totheir ancestors." '
4 Queste sono le parole che il Signore pronunziò per Israele e per Giuda:	4 These are the words Yahweh spoke about Israel (and Judah):
5 Così dice il Signore: "Si ode un grido di spavento, terrore, non pace.	5 Yahweh says this: We have heard a cry of panic, of terror, not of peace.
6 Informatevi e osservate se un maschio può partorire. Perché mai vedo tutti gli uomini con le mani sui fianchi come una partoriente? Perché ogni faccia è stravolta, impallidita? Ohimè!	6 Now ask and see: can a man bear children? Then why do I see each man with his hands on his loinslike a woman in labour? Why has every face grown pale?
7 Perché grande è quel giorno, non ce n'è uno simile! Esso sarà un tempo di angoscia per Giacobbe, tuttavia egli ne uscirà salvato.	7 Disaster! This is the great day, no other like it: a time of distress for Jacob, though he will be savedfrom it.
8 In quel giorno - parola del Signore degli eserciti - romperò il giogo togliendolo dal suo collo, spezzerò le sue catene; non saranno più schiavi di stranieri.	8 (That day, Yahweh Sabaoth declares, I shal break the yoke now on your neck and snap your chains;and foreigners wil enslave you no more,
9 Essi serviranno il Signore loro Dio e Davide loro re, che io susciterò loro.	9 but Israel and Judah wil serve Yahweh their God, and David their king whom I shal raise up for them.)
10 Tu, poi, non temere, Giacobbe, mio servo. Oracolo del Signore. Non abbatterti, Israele, Poiché io libererò te dal paese lontano, la tua discendenza dal paese del suo esilio. Giacobbe ritornerà e godrà la pace, vivrà tranquillo e nessuno lo molesterà.	10 So do not be afraid, my servant Jacob, Yahweh declares, Israel, do not be alarmed: for look, I shalrescue you from distant countries and your descendants from the country where they are captive. Jacob wilreturn and be at peace, secure, with no one to trouble him.
11 Poiché io sono con te per salvarti, oracolo del Signore. Sterminerò tutte le nazioni in mezzo alle quali ti ho disperso; ma con te non voglio operare una strage; cioè ti castigherò secondo giustizia, non ti lascerò del tutto impunito".	11 For I am with you to save you, Yahweh declares, I shal make an end of all the nations where I havedriven you, but I shall not make an end of you, only discipline you in moderation, not to let you go quiteunpunished.
12 Così dice il Signore: "La tua ferita è incurabile, la tua piaga è molto grave.	12 Yes, Yahweh says this: Your wound is incurable, your injury past healing.
13 Per la tua piaga non ci sono rimedi, non si forma nessuna cicatrice.	13 There is no one to plead your cause; for an ulcer there are remedies, but for you no cure at al .
14 Tutti i tuoi amanti ti hanno dimenticato, non ti cercano più; poiché ti ho colpito come colpisce un nemico, con un castigo severo, per le tue grandi iniquità, per i molti tuoi peccati.	14 Al your lovers have forgotten you, they look for you no more. Yes, I have struck you as an enemystrikes, with cruel punishment (because of your great guilt and countless sins).
15 Perché gridi per la ferita? Incurabile è la tua piaga. A causa della tua grande iniquità, dei molti tuoi peccati, io ti ho fatto questi mali.	15 Why cry out because of your wound? Your pain is incurable! Because of your great guilt andcountless sins, I have treated you like this.
16 Però quanti ti divorano saranno divorati, i tuoi oppressori andranno tutti in schiavitù; i tuoi saccheggiatori saranno abbandonati al saccheggio e saranno oggetto di preda quanti ti hanno depredato.	16 But al those who devoured you wil be devoured, al your enemies, al , go into captivity, those whodespoiled you will be despoiled, and al who pillaged you be pil aged.
17 Farò infatti cicatrizzare la tua ferita e ti guarirò dalle tue piaghe. Parola del Signore. Poiché ti chiamano la ripudiata, o Sion, quella di cui nessuno si cura",	17 For I shal restore you to health and heal your wounds, Yahweh declares, you who used to be called'Outcast', 'Zion for whom no one cares'.
18 Così dice il Signore. "Ecco, restaurerò la sorte delle tende di Giacobbe e avrò compassione delle sue dimore. La città sarà ricostruita sulle rovine e il palazzo sorgerà di nuovo al suo posto.	18 Yahweh says this: Look, I shal restore the tents of Jacob and take pity on his dwel ings: the town wilbe rebuilt on its mound, the stronghold where it ought to stand.
19 Ne usciranno inni di lode, voci di gente festante. Li moltiplicherò e non diminuiranno, li onorerò e non saranno disprezzati,	19 From them wil come thanksgiving and shouts of joy. I shal make them increase, they wil notdecrease; I shal make them honoured, no more to be humbled.
20 i loro figli saranno come una volta. la loro assemblea sarà stabile dinanzi a me; mentre punirò i loro avversari.	20 Their sons wil be as once they were, their community fixed firmly before me, and I shal punish alltheir oppressors.
21 Il loro capo sarà uno di essi e da essi uscirà il loro comandante; io lo farò avvicinare ed egli si accosterà a me. Poiché chi è colui che arrischia la vita per avvicinarsi a me? Oracolo del Signore.	21 Their prince wil be one of their own, their ruler come from their own people, and I shal permit him toapproach me freely; for who, otherwise, would be so bold as to approach me, Yahweh demands?
22 Voi sarete il mio popolo e io il vostro Dio.	22 You wil be my people and I shal be your God.
23 Ecco la tempesta del Signore, il suo furore si scatena, una tempesta travolgente; si abbatte sul capo dei malvagi.	23 Look, Yahweh's hurricane, his wrath, bursts out, a roaring hurricane, to burst on the heads of thewicked;
24 Non cesserà l'ira ardente del Signore, finché non abbia compiuto e attuato i progetti del suo cuore. Alla fine dei giorni lo comprenderete!	24 Yahweh's burning anger wil not turn aside until he has performed, has carried out, what he has inmind. In the final days, you wil understand this.
