Geremia 27

BIBBIA CEI 1974	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Al principio del regno di Sedecìa figlio di Giosia, re di Giuda, fu rivolta questa parola a Geremia da parte del Signore.	1 (At the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah son of Josiah, king of Judah, this word came to Jeremiahfrom Yahweh:)
2 Mi dice il Signore: "Procùrati capestri e un giogo e mettili sul tuo collo.	2 Yahweh said this to me, 'Make yourself thongs and yokes and put them on your neck.
3 Quindi manda un messaggio al re di Edom, al re di Moab, al re degli Ammoniti, al re di Tiro e al re di Sidòne per mezzo dei loro messaggeri venuti a Gerusalemme da Sedecìa, re di Giuda,	3 Then send them to the king of Edom, the king of Moab, the king of the Ammonites, the king of Tyre,and the king of Sidon, through their envoys accredited to Zedekiah king of Judah in Jerusalem.
4 e affida loro questo mandato per i loro signori: Dice il Signore degli eserciti, Dio di Israele, così parlerete ai vostri signori:	4 Give them the following message for their masters, "Yahweh Sabaoth, God of Israel, says this: Youmust tel your masters this:
5 Io ho fatto la terra, l'uomo e gli animali che sono sulla terra, con grande potenza e con braccio potente e li do a chi mi piace.	5 I by my great power and outstretched arm made the earth, the human beings and the animals that areon earth, and I give them to whom I please.
6 Ora ho consegnato tutte quelle regioni in potere di Nabucodònosor re di Babilonia, mio servo; a lui ho consegnato perfino le bestie selvatiche perché lo servano.	6 For the present, I have handed al these countries over to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, myservant; I have even put the wild animals at his service.
7 Tutte le nazioni saranno soggette a lui, a suo figlio e al nipote, finché anche per il suo paese non verrà il momento. Allora molte nazioni e re potenti lo assoggetteranno.	7 (Al the nations will serve him, his son and his grandson, until the time for his own country comes in itsturn, when mighty nations and great kings wil enslave him.)
8 La nazione o il regno che non si assoggetterà a lui, Nabucodònosor, re di Babilonia, e che non sottoporrà il collo al giogo del re di Babilonia, io li punirò con la spada, la fame e la peste - dice il Signore - finché non li avrò consegnati in suo potere.	8 Any nation or kingdom that will not serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and will not bow its neck tothe yoke of the king of Babylon, I shall punish that nation with sword, famine and plague, Yahweh declares, untilI have destroyed it by his hand.
9 Voi non date retta ai vostri profeti né ai vostri indovini né ai vostri sognatori né ai vostri maghi né ai vostri stregoni, che vi dicono: Non sarete soggetti al re di Babilonia!	9 For your own part, do not listen to your prophets, your diviners, dreamers, magicians and sorcerers,who tel you: You wil not be enslaved by the king of Babylon.
10 Costoro vi predicono menzogne per allontanarvi dal vostro paese e perché io vi disperda e così andiate in rovina.	10 They prophesy lies to you, the result of which wil be that you wil be banished from your soil, that Ishall drive you out, and you will perish.
11 Invece io lascerò stare tranquilla sul proprio suolo - dice il Signore - la nazione che sottoporrà il collo al giogo del re di Babilonia e gli sarà soggetta; essa lo coltiverà e lo abiterà".	11 The nation, however, that is prepared to bend its neck to the yoke of the king of Babylon and servehim, I shal leave in peace on its own soil, Yahweh declares, to farm it and stay on it." '
12 A Sedecìa re di Giuda, io ho parlato proprio allo stesso modo: "Piegate il collo al giogo del re di Babilonia, siate soggetti a lui e al suo popolo e conserverete la vita.	12 To Zedekiah king of Judah I spoke in exactly the same terms. 'Bend your necks', I told him, 'to theyoke of the king of Babylon; serve him and his people and you wil survive.
13 Perché tu e il tuo popolo vorreste morire di spada, di fame e di peste, come ha preannunziato il Signore per la nazione che non si assoggetterà al re di Babilonia?	13 (Why so anxious to die, you and your people, by sword, famine and plague, with which Yahweh hasthreatened the nation refusing to serve the king of Babylon?)
14 Non date retta alle parole dei profeti che vi dicono: Non sarete soggetti al re di Babilonia! perché essi vi predicono menzogne.	14 Do not listen to the words the prophets say to you, "You will not be enslaved by the king of Babylon."They prophesy lies to you.
15 Io infatti non li ho mandati - dice il Signore - ed essi predicono menzogne in mio nome; perciò io sarò costretto a disperdervi e così perirete voi e i profeti che vi fanno tali profezie".	15 Since I have not sent them, Yahweh declares, they prophesy untruths to you in my name. The resultwil be that I shal drive you out, you wil perish, and so wil the prophets who prophesy to you.'
16 Ai sacerdoti e a tutto questo popolo ho detto: "Dice il Signore: Non ascoltate le parole dei vostri profeti che vi predicono che gli arredi del tempio del Signore saranno subito riportati da Babilonia, perché essi vi predicono menzogne.	16 I also spoke to the priests and to al this people as fol ows, 'Yahweh says this, "Do not listen to thewords of your prophets who prophesy to you as fol ows: Look, the vessels of the Temple of Yahweh wil veryshortly be brought back from Babylon. They prophesy lies to you.
17 Non ascoltateli! Siate piuttosto soggetti al re di Babilonia e conserverete la vita. Perché questa città dovrebbe esser ridotta in una desolazione?	17 (Do not listen to them; serve the king of Babylon and you wil survive. Why should this city become aruin?)
18 Se quelli sono veri profeti e se la parola del Signore è con essi, intercedano dunque presso il Signore degli eserciti perché gli arredi rimasti nel tempio del Signore e nella casa del re di Giuda e a Gerusalemme non vadano a Babilonia".	18 If they are real prophets, if Yahweh's word is real y with them, they ought now to be pleading withYahweh Sabaoth that the remaining vessels in the Temple of Yahweh, in the palace of the king of Judah andelsewhere in Jerusalem, do not go to Babylon too!
19 Così dice il Signore degli eserciti riguardo alle colonne, al mare di bronzo, alle basi e al resto degli arredi che sono ancora in questa città	19 For this is what Yahweh Sabaoth says about (the pil ars, the Sea, the stands and) the other vesselsstill remaining in this city,
20 e che Nabucodònosor, re di Babilonia, non prese quando deportò Ieconia figlio di Ioiakìm, re di Giuda, da Gerusalemme in Babilonia con tutti i notabili di Giuda e di Gerusalemme.	20 those not carried off by Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon when he took Jeconiah son of Jehoiakim,king of Judah, into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon (with al the leading men of Judah and Jerusalem).
21 Dice dunque così il Signore degli eserciti, Dio di Israele, riguardo agli arredi rimasti nel tempio del Signore, nella casa del re di Giuda e a Gerusalemme:	21 Yes, this is what Yahweh Sabaoth, God of Israel, says about the vessels stil remaining in the Templeof Yahweh, in the palace of the king of Judah and elsewhere in Jerusalem:
22 "Saranno portati a Babilonia e là rimarranno finché non li ricercherò - parola del Signore - e li porterò indietro e li riporrò in questo luogo".	22 They wil be carried off to Babylon (and stay there until the day I punish them), Yahweh declares.(Then I shal bring them back and restore them to this place.)" '
