New Jerusalem Bible La Biblia
In you, Yahweh, I take refuge, I shal never be put to shame.1 A ti, Señor, me acojo: | no quede yo derrotado para siempre.
In your saving justice rescue me, deliver me, listen to me and save me.2 Tú que eres justo, líbrame y ponme a salvo, | inclina a mí tu oído y sálvame.
Be a sheltering rock for me, always accessible; you have determined to save me, for you are my rock,my fortress.3 Sé tú mi roca de refugio, | el alcázar donde me salve, | porque mi peña y mi alcázar eres tú.
My God, rescue me from the clutches of the wicked, from the grasp of the rogue and the ruthless.4 Dios mío, líbrame de la mano perversa, | del puño criminal y violento.
For you are my hope, Lord, my trust, Yahweh, since boyhood.5 Porque tú, Señor, fuiste mi esperanza | y mi confianza, Señor, desde mi juventud.
On you I have relied since my birth, since my mother's womb you have been my portion, the constanttheme of my praise.6 En el vientre materno ya me apoyaba en ti, | en el seno tú me sostenías, | siempre he confiado en ti.
Many were bewildered at me, but you are my sure refuge.7 Muchos me miraban como a un milagro, | porque tú eres mi fuerte refugio.
My mouth is full of your praises, fil ed with your splendour all day long.8 Llena estaba mi boca de tu alabanza | y de tu gloria todo el día.
Do not reject me in my old age, nor desert me when my strength is failing,9 No me rechaces ahora en la vejez; | me van faltando las fuerzas, no me abandones.
for my enemies are discussing me, those with designs on my life are plotting together.10 Porque mis enemigos hablan de mí, | los que acechan mi vida celebran consejo;
'Hound him down, for God has deserted him! Seize him, there is no one to rescue him.'11 dicen: «Dios lo ha abandonado; | perseguidlo, agarradlo, | que nadie lo defiende».
God, do not stand aloof, my God, come quickly to help me.12 Dios mío, no te quedes a distancia; | Dios mío, ven aprisa a socorrerme.
Shame and ruin on those who slander me, may those intent on harming me be covered with insultand infamy.13 Que fracasen y se pierdan | los que atentan contra mi vida, | queden cubiertos de oprobio y vergüenza | los que buscan mi daño.
As for me, my hope wil never fade, I wil praise you more and more.14 Yo, en cambio, seguiré esperando, | redoblaré tus alabanzas;
My lips shal proclaim your saving justice, your saving power all day long.15 mi boca contará tu justicia, | y todo el día tu salvación, | aunque no sepa contarla.
I wil come in the power of Yahweh to tel of your justice, yours alone.16 Contaré tus proezas, Señor mío; | narraré tu justicia, tuya entera.
God, you have taught me from boyhood, and I am still proclaiming your marvels.17 Dios mío, me instruiste desde mi juventud, | y hasta hoy relato tus maravillas;
Now that I am old and grey-haired, God, do not desert me, til I have proclaimed your strength togenerations still to come, your power18 ahora, en la vejez y las canas, | no me abandones, Dios mío, | hasta que describa tu poder, | tus hazañas a la nueva generación.
and justice to the skies. You have done great things, God, who is like you?19 Tu justicia, oh Dios, es excelsa, | porque tú hiciste maravillas: | Dios mío, ¿quién como tú?
You have shown me much misery and hardship, but you will give me life again, You will raise me upagain from the depths of the earth,20 Me hiciste pasar por peligros, | muchos y graves: | de nuevo me darás la vida, | me harás subir de lo hondo de la tierra;
prolong my old age, and comfort me again.21 acrecerás mi dignidad, | de nuevo me consolarás.
For my part, I will thank you on the lyre for your constancy, my God. I wil play the harp in yourhonour, Holy One of Israel.22 Y yo te daré gracias, Dios mío, | con el arpa, por tu lealtad; | tocaré para ti la cítara, | Santo de Israel;
My lips sing for joy as I play to you, because you have redeemed me,23 te aclamarán mis labios, Señor; | mi alma, que tú redimiste;
and al day long my tongue muses on your saving justice. Shame and disgrace on those intent toharm me!24 y mi lengua todo el día | recitará tu justicia, | porque quedaron derrotados y afrentados | los que buscaban mi daño.
