1 In you, Yahweh, I take refuge, I shal never be put to shame.	1 - Salmo di Salomone.
2 In your saving justice rescue me, deliver me, listen to me and save me.	2 O Dio, il tuo giudizio concedi al re e la tua giustizia al figliuolo di re, perchè giudichi il tuo popolo con giustiziae i tuoi poveri con [equo] giudizio.
3 Be a sheltering rock for me, always accessible; you have determined to save me, for you are my rock,my fortress.	3 Portino i monti la pace al popoloe i colli la giustizia!
4 My God, rescue me from the clutches of the wicked, from the grasp of the rogue and the ruthless.	4 Renderà giustizia ai miseri del popoloe salverà i figli de' poverie abbatterà l'oppressore.
5 For you are my hope, Lord, my trust, Yahweh, since boyhood.	5 E rimarrà finchè c'è il sole, e in faccia alla luna, d'età in età.
6 On you I have relied since my birth, since my mother's womb you have been my portion, the constanttheme of my praise.	6 Scenderà come pioggia sulla mèsse, e come acqua irrorante la terra.
7 Many were bewildered at me, but you are my sure refuge.	7 Spunterà a' suoi dì la giustizia, e abbondanza di pace finchè sia tolta via la luna.
8 My mouth is full of your praises, fil ed with your splendour all day long.	8 E dominerà da mare a mare, e dal fiume sino ai confini della terra.
9 Do not reject me in my old age, nor desert me when my strength is failing,	9 Al suo cospetto si prostreranno gli Etiopi, e i suoi nemici leccheran la polvere!
10 for my enemies are discussing me, those with designs on my life are plotting together.	10 I re di Tarsis e delle isole offriran presenti, i re degli Arabi e di Saba porteranno doni.
11 'Hound him down, for God has deserted him! Seize him, there is no one to rescue him.'	11 E si prostreranno a lui tutti i re della terra, e tutte le genti lo serviranno.
12 God, do not stand aloof, my God, come quickly to help me.	12 Perchè libererà il povero dal potente e il misero che non ha chi l'aiuti.
13 Shame and ruin on those who slander me, may those intent on harming me be covered with insultand infamy.	13 Avrà pietà dell'indigente e del tapinoe le anime de' poveri farà salve.
14 As for me, my hope wil never fade, I wil praise you more and more.	14 Dalle angherie e dalla violenza riscatterà le anime loro, prezioso sarà il loro sangue dinanzi a lui.
15 My lips shal proclaim your saving justice, your saving power all day long.	15 E vivrà e gli si darà oro di Arabia, e pregheranno [Iddio] per lui sempre, tutto il giorno lo benediranno!
16 I wil come in the power of Yahweh to tel of your justice, yours alone.	16 E vi sarà abbondanza di grano sulla terra [fin] sulle cime de' monti, s'alzeran le sue spighe più del Libano, e fioriran [le popolazioni] dalle città come l'erba della terra.
17 God, you have taught me from boyhood, and I am still proclaiming your marvels.	17 Sarà il suo nome benedetto ne' secoli, in faccia al sole resterà [e si propagherà] il suo nome. E si feliciteranno in lui tutte le tribù della terra, e tutte le genti lo magnificheranno.
18 Now that I am old and grey-haired, God, do not desert me, til I have proclaimed your strength togenerations still to come, your power	18 Benedetto il Signore, Iddio d'Israele, che solo opera portenti!
19 and justice to the skies. You have done great things, God, who is like you?	19 E benedetto il nome della sua maestà in eterno, e si riempia della sua maestà tutta la terra! Così sia! Così sia!
20 You have shown me much misery and hardship, but you will give me life again, You will raise me upagain from the depths of the earth,	20 Son finite le laudi di David figliuolo di Iesse.
21 prolong my old age, and comfort me again.
22 For my part, I will thank you on the lyre for your constancy, my God. I wil play the harp in yourhonour, Holy One of Israel.
23 My lips sing for joy as I play to you, because you have redeemed me,
24 and al day long my tongue muses on your saving justice. Shame and disgrace on those intent toharm me!
