Psalms 71

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA TINTORI
1 In you, Yahweh, I take refuge, I shal never be put to shame.	1 (Salmo a Salomone).
2 In your saving justice rescue me, deliver me, listen to me and save me.	2 O Dio, concedi al re il tuo giudizio e la tua giustizia al figlio del re, affinchè giudichi con giustizia il popolo e con equità i tuoi poveri.
3 Be a sheltering rock for me, always accessible; you have determined to save me, for you are my rock,my fortress.	3 Ricevano i monti la pace pel popolo e i colli la giustizia.
4 My God, rescue me from the clutches of the wicked, from the grasp of the rogue and the ruthless.	4 Egli renderà giustizia ai poveri del popolo, salverà i figlioli dei poveri ed umilierà il calunniatore.
5 For you are my hope, Lord, my trust, Yahweh, since boyhood.	5 Durerà quanto il sole e la luna, di generazione in generazione.
6 On you I have relied since my birth, since my mother's womb you have been my portion, the constanttheme of my praise.	6 Discenderà come pioggia su vello, come acqua a gocce a gocce sulla terra.
7 Many were bewildered at me, but you are my sure refuge.	7 Spunterà nei giorni di lui la giustizia e l'abbondanza della pace, finché non si spenga la luna.
8 My mouth is full of your praises, fil ed with your splendour all day long.	8 Dominerà da mare a mare e dal fiume fino alla estremità della terra.
9 Do not reject me in my old age, nor desert me when my strength is failing,	9 Dinanzi a lui si prostreranno gli Etiopi, e i suoi nemici leccheranno la polvere.
10 for my enemies are discussing me, those with designs on my life are plotting together.	10 Il re di Tarsi e le isole porteranno tributi e i re degli Arabi e di Saba offriranno doni,
11 'Hound him down, for God has deserted him! Seize him, there is no one to rescue him.'	11 E lo adoreranno tutti i re della terra, tutti i popoli gli saran soggetti;
12 God, do not stand aloof, my God, come quickly to help me.	12 Perchè Egli libererà il povero dal potente, il povero che non ha aiuto.
13 Shame and ruin on those who slander me, may those intent on harming me be covered with insultand infamy.	13 Avrà pietà del povero e del bisognoso, e salverà la vita dei poveri.
14 As for me, my hope wil never fade, I wil praise you more and more.	14 Li libererà dalle usure e dalle ingiustizie, e sarà tenuto in onore davanti a lui il loro nome.
15 My lips shal proclaim your saving justice, your saving power all day long.	15 Egli vivrà, e gli sarà dato dell'oro dell'Arabia: sempre lo adoreranno, sempre lo benediranno.
16 I wil come in the power of Yahweh to tel of your justice, yours alone.	16 E vi sarà sulla terra abbondanza di frumento, fin sulla vetta dei monti, al di sopra del Libano si alzeranno le sue spighe, e i cittadini fioriranno (moltiplicandosi) come l'erba dei prati.
17 God, you have taught me from boyhood, and I am still proclaiming your marvels.	17 Sarà benedetto pei secoli il suo nome: avanti il sole esiste il suo nome. In lui saran benedette tutte le tribù della terra, tutte le genti lo glorificheranno.
18 Now that I am old and grey-haired, God, do not desert me, til I have proclaimed your strength togenerations still to come, your power	18 Benedetto il Signore Dio d'Israele, il solo che opera maraviglie.
19 and justice to the skies. You have done great things, God, who is like you?	19 E benedetto il nome della sua maestà in eterno. Sia ripiena della sua gloria tutta la terra. Cosi sia! Cosi sia!
20 You have shown me much misery and hardship, but you will give me life again, You will raise me upagain from the depths of the earth,	20 Son finite le laudi di David figliolo di lesse.
21 prolong my old age, and comfort me again.
22 For my part, I will thank you on the lyre for your constancy, my God. I wil play the harp in yourhonour, Holy One of Israel.
23 My lips sing for joy as I play to you, because you have redeemed me,
24 and al day long my tongue muses on your saving justice. Shame and disgrace on those intent toharm me!
