1 [Psalm Of Asaph] The God of gods, Yahweh, is speaking, from east to west he summons the earth.	1 Ao mestre do coro. Salmo. De Davide.
2 From Zion, perfection of beauty, he shines forth;	2 Quando o profeta Natan foi ter com ele, depois de haver pecado com Betsabé.
3 he is coming, our God, and wil not be silent. Devouring fire ahead of him, raging tempest around him,	3 Tem piedade de mim, ó Deus, segundo a tua misericórdia; segundo a multidão das tuas clemências, apaga a minha iniquidade.
4 he summons the heavens from on high, and the earth to judge his people.	4 Lava-me inteiramente da minha culpa, purifica-me do meu pecado,
5 'Gather to me my faithful, who sealed my covenant by sacrifice.'	5 Porque eu reconheço a minha maldade, e o meu pecado está sempre diante de mim.
6 The heavens proclaim his saving justice, 'God himself is judge.'Pause	6 Pequei contra ti só, fiz o que é mau diante dos teus olhos, para que te manifestes justo na tua sentença, recto no teu juízo.
7 'Listen, my people, I am speaking, Israel, I am giving evidence against you, I, God, your God.	7 Eis que nasci na culpa, e minha mãe concebeu-me no pecado.
8 'It is not with your sacrifices that I find fault, those burnt offerings constantly before me;	8 Eis que te comprazes na sinceridade do coração, e no meu íntimo me ensinas a sabedoria.
9 I will not accept any bul from your homes, nor a single goat from your folds.	9 Asperge-me com o hissope, e serei purificado; lava-me, e me tornarei mais branco que a neve.
10 'For all forest creatures are mine already, the animals on the mountains in their thousands.	10 Faz-me sentir gozo e alegria, exultem os ossos que trituraste.
11 I know every bird in the air, whatever moves in the fields is mine.	11 Aparta o teu rosto dos meus pecados e apaga todas as minhas culpas.
12 'If I am hungry I shall not tel you, since the world and all it holds is mine.	12 Cria em mim, ó Deus, um coração puro e renova em mim um espírito firme.
13 Am I to eat the flesh of bul s or drink the blood of goats?	13 Não me arremesses da tua presença e não retires de mim o teu espírito santo.
14 'Let thanksgiving be your sacrifice to God, fulfil the vows you make to the Most High;	14 Dá-me a alegria da tua salvação e revigora-me com um espírito generoso.
15 then if you call to me in time of trouble I wil rescue you and you wil honour me.'	15 Ensinarei aos iníquos os teus caminhos, e os pecadores se converterão a ti.
16 But to the wicked, God says: 'What right have you to recite my statutes, to take my covenant on yourlips,	16 Livra-me da pena do sangue, ó Deus, Deus meu salvador; a minha língua exulte com a tua justiça.
17 when you detest my teaching, and thrust my words behind you?	17 Senhor, abrirás os meus lábios, e a minha boca anunciará os teus louvores.
18 'You make friends with a thief as soon as you see one, you feel at home with adulterers,	18 Com efeito, não te apraz o sacrifício; e se te oferecesse um holocausto, não o aceitarias.
19 your conversation is devoted to wickedness, and your tongue to inventing lies.	19 O meu sacrifício, ó Deus, é um espírito contrito: não desprezaria, ó Deus, um coração contrito e humilhado.
20 'You sit there, slandering your own brother, you malign your own mother's son.	20 Senhor, sê benigno com Sião por tua bondade, reconstruindo os muros de Jerusalém.
21 You do this, and am I to say nothing? Do you think that I am really like you? I charge you, indict youto your face.	21 Então aceitarás os sacrifícios legítimos, as oferendas e os holocaustos; então oferecerão bezerros sobre o teu altar.
22 'Think it out, you who forget God, or I wil tear you apart without hope of a rescuer.
23 Honour to me is a sacrifice of thanksgiving; to the upright I wil show God's salvation.'
