1 [Psalm Of Asaph] The God of gods, Yahweh, is speaking, from east to west he summons the earth.	1 Ászáf zsoltára. Szól az Úr, az istenek Istene, és szólítja a földet napkelettől napnyugatig.
2 From Zion, perfection of beauty, he shines forth;	2 Felragyog Sionból ékes szépséggel az Isten.
3 he is coming, our God, and wil not be silent. Devouring fire ahead of him, raging tempest around him,	3 Jön íme, Isten, íme, jön a mi Istenünk és nem hallgat: színe előtt emésztő tűz, körülötte hatalmas förgeteg.
4 he summons the heavens from on high, and the earth to judge his people.	4 Szólítja onnan felülről az eget s a földet, hogy népe fölött ítélkezzék:
5 'Gather to me my faithful, who sealed my covenant by sacrifice.'	5 »Gyűjtsétek elém szentjeimet, akik az áldozatban szövetségre léptek velem.«
6 The heavens proclaim his saving justice, 'God himself is judge.'Pause	6 Igazságát hirdetik az egek, mert Isten tart ítéletet.
7 'Listen, my people, I am speaking, Israel, I am giving evidence against you, I, God, your God.	7 »Halljad én népem, hadd beszéljek, Izrael, hadd tegyek bizonyságot ellened: Én Isten, a te Istened vagyok.
8 'It is not with your sacrifices that I find fault, those burnt offerings constantly before me;	8 Nem áldozataidért perelek veled, hisz égő áldozataid folyton előttem vannak.
9 I will not accept any bul from your homes, nor a single goat from your folds.	9 Nem veszek el házadból fiatal bikákat, sem nyájaidból kecskebakokat.
10 'For all forest creatures are mine already, the animals on the mountains in their thousands.	10 Mert enyém az erdő minden vadja, az állatok ezrei a hegyekben.
11 I know every bird in the air, whatever moves in the fields is mine.	11 Ismerem az ég minden madarát, és ami csak mozog a mezőn, az enyém.
12 'If I am hungry I shall not tel you, since the world and all it holds is mine.	12 Ha éheznék, nem kellene neked szólnom, mert enyém a földkerekség, s mindaz, ami betölti.
13 Am I to eat the flesh of bul s or drink the blood of goats?	13 Eszem-e én a bikák húsát, iszom-e én a kecskebakok vérét?
14 'Let thanksgiving be your sacrifice to God, fulfil the vows you make to the Most High;	14 Dicséretet mutass be áldozatul Istennek, és teljesítsd fogadalmaidat a Fölségesnek;
15 then if you call to me in time of trouble I wil rescue you and you wil honour me.'	15 Hívj segítségül a szorongatás napján: megmentelek, és te dicsérni fogsz engem.«
16 But to the wicked, God says: 'What right have you to recite my statutes, to take my covenant on yourlips,	16 A bűnöshöz azonban így szól az Isten: »Miért beszélsz te parancsolataimról, s miért veszed szádra szövetségemet?
17 when you detest my teaching, and thrust my words behind you?	17 Hiszen te gyűlölöd a fegyelmet, és hátad mögé veted szavaimat.
18 'You make friends with a thief as soon as you see one, you feel at home with adulterers,	18 Ha tolvajt láttál, vele tartottál, házasságtörőkkel közösködtél.
19 your conversation is devoted to wickedness, and your tongue to inventing lies.	19 Szád gonoszságot árasztott, és nyelved csalárdságot szőtt.
20 'You sit there, slandering your own brother, you malign your own mother's son.	20 Leültél és testvéred ellen beszéltél, és gáncsot vetettél anyád fia elé.
21 You do this, and am I to say nothing? Do you think that I am really like you? I charge you, indict youto your face.	21 Így cselekedtél, s mivel én hallgattam, azt hitted, hogy olyan vagyok, mint te. Pedig perbeszállok veled és mindezt felhozom ellened.
22 'Think it out, you who forget God, or I wil tear you apart without hope of a rescuer.	22 Értsétek meg ezt ti, akik megfeledkeztek Istenről, nehogy védtelenek legyetek, amikor elragadlak titeket!
23 Honour to me is a sacrifice of thanksgiving; to the upright I wil show God's salvation.'	23 Aki a dicséret áldozatát mutatja be, az tisztel engem, és aki bűntelenül jár az úton, annak mutatom meg Isten üdvösségét.«
