Psalms 50

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 [Psalm Of Asaph] The God of gods, Yahweh, is speaking, from east to west he summons the earth.	1 Salmo de Asaf. El Dios de los dioses, el Señor, habla para convocar a la tierra desde la salida del sol hasta el ocaso.
2 From Zion, perfection of beauty, he shines forth;	2 Dios resplandece desde Sión, que es el dechado de toda hermosura:
3 he is coming, our God, and wil not be silent. Devouring fire ahead of him, raging tempest around him,	3 ya viene nuestro Dios, y no callará; un fuego devorador lo precede, la tempestad ruge a su alrededor.
4 he summons the heavens from on high, and the earth to judge his people.	4 El llama desde lo alto al cielo y a la tierra, para entablar un juicio contra su pueblo:
5 'Gather to me my faithful, who sealed my covenant by sacrifice.'	5 «Reúnanme a mis amigos, a los que sellaron mi alianza con un sacrificio».
6 The heavens proclaim his saving justice, 'God himself is judge.'Pause	6 ¡Que el cielo proclame su justicia, porque Dios es el único Juez!
7 'Listen, my people, I am speaking, Israel, I am giving evidence against you, I, God, your God.	7 «Escucha, pueblo mío, yo te hablo; Israel, voy a alegar contra ti: yo soy el Señor, tu Dios.
8 'It is not with your sacrifices that I find fault, those burnt offerings constantly before me;	8 No te acuso por tus sacrificios: ¡tus holocaustos están siempre en mi presencia!
9 I will not accept any bul from your homes, nor a single goat from your folds.	9 Pero yo no necesito los novillos de tu casa ni los cabritos de tus corrales.
10 'For all forest creatures are mine already, the animals on the mountains in their thousands.	10 Porque son mías todas las fieras de la selva, y también el ganado de las montañas más altas.
11 I know every bird in the air, whatever moves in the fields is mine.	11 Yo conozco los pájaros de los montes y tengo ante mí todos los animales del campo.
12 'If I am hungry I shall not tel you, since the world and all it holds is mine.	12 Si tuviera hambre, no te diría, porque es mío el mundo y todo lo que hay en él.
13 Am I to eat the flesh of bul s or drink the blood of goats?	13 ¿Acaso voy a comer la carne de los toros o a beber la sangre de los cabritos?
14 'Let thanksgiving be your sacrifice to God, fulfil the vows you make to the Most High;	14 Ofrece al Señor un sacrificio de alabanza y cumple tus votos al Altísimo;
15 then if you call to me in time of trouble I wil rescue you and you wil honour me.'	15 invócame en los momentos de peligro: yo te libraré, y tú me glorificarás».
16 But to the wicked, God says: 'What right have you to recite my statutes, to take my covenant on yourlips,	16 Dios dice al malvado: «¿Cómo te atreves a pregonar mis mandamientos y a mencionar mi alianza con tu boca,
17 when you detest my teaching, and thrust my words behind you?	17 tú, que aborreces toda enseñanza y te despreocupas de mis palabras?
18 'You make friends with a thief as soon as you see one, you feel at home with adulterers,	18 Si ves a un ladrón, tratas de emularlo; haces causa común con los adúlteros;
19 your conversation is devoted to wickedness, and your tongue to inventing lies.	19 hablas mal sin ningún reparo y tramas engaños con tu lengua;
20 'You sit there, slandering your own brother, you malign your own mother's son.	20 te sientas a conversar contra tu hermano, deshonras al hijo de tu propia madre.
21 You do this, and am I to say nothing? Do you think that I am really like you? I charge you, indict youto your face.	21 Haces esto, ¿y yo me voy a callar? ¿Piensas acaso que soy como tú? Te acusaré y te argüiré cara a cara,
22 'Think it out, you who forget God, or I wil tear you apart without hope of a rescuer.	22 Entiendan bien esto, los que olvidan a Dios, no sea que yo los destruya sin remedio.
23 Honour to me is a sacrifice of thanksgiving; to the upright I wil show God's salvation.'	23 El que ofrece sacrificios de alabanza me honra de verdad; y al que va por el buen camino le haré gustar la salvación de Dios».
