¹ [Lament Of David Which he sang to Yahweh about Cush the Benjaminite] Yahweh my God, I takerefuge in you, save me from al my pursuers and rescue me,	¹ Lamentación de David. La que cantó al Señor a propósito de Cus, el benjaminita.
² or he wil savage me like a lion, carry me off with no one to rescue me.	² Señor, Dios mío, en ti me refugio: sálvame de todos los que me persiguen;
³ Yahweh my God, if I have done this: if injustice has stained my hands,	³ líbrame, para que nadie pueda atraparme como un león, que destroza sin remedio.
⁴ if I have repaid my al y with treachery or spared one who attacked me unprovoked,	⁴ Señor, Dios mío, si cometí alguna bajeza, o hay crímenes en mis manos;
⁵ may an enemy hunt me down and catch me, may he trample my life into the ground and crush my vitalparts into the dust.Pause	⁵ si he pagado con traición a mi amigo o he despojado sin razón a mi adversario:
⁶ Arise, Yahweh, in your anger, rise up against the arrogance of my foes. Awake, my God, you demandjudgement.	⁶ que el enemigo me persiga y me alcance, que aplaste mi vida contra el suelo y deje tendidas mis entrañas en el polvo.
⁷ Let the assembly of nations gather round you; return above it on high!	⁷ Levántate, Señor, lleno de indignación; álzate contra el furor de mis adversarios. Despierta para el juicio que has convocado:
⁸ (Yahweh judges the nations.) Judge me, Yahweh, as my uprightness and my integrity deserve.	⁸ que una asamblea de pueblos te rodee, y presídelos tu, desde lo alto.
⁹ Put an end to the malice of the wicked, make the upright stand firm, you who discern hearts and minds,God the upright.	⁹ El Señor es el Juez de las naciones: júzgame, Señor, conforme a mi justicia y de acuerdo con mi integridad.
¹⁰ God is a shield that protects me, saving the honest of heart.	¹⁰ ¡Que se acabe la maldad de los impíos! Tú que sondeas las mentes y los corazones, tú que eres un Dios justo, apoya al inocente.
¹¹ God is an upright judge, slow to anger, but a God at al times threatening	¹¹ Mi escudo es el Dios Altísimo, que salva a los rectos de corazón.
¹² for those who wil not repent. Let the enemy whet his sword, draw his bow and make ready;	¹² Dios es un Juez justo y puede irritarse en cualquier momento.
¹³ but he is making ready instruments of death for himself and tipping his arrows with fire;	¹³ Si no se convierten, afilará la espada, tenderá su arco y apuntará;
¹⁴ look at him: pregnant with malice, conceiving spite, he gives birth to treachery.	¹⁴ preparará sus armas mortíferas, dispondrá sus flechas incendiarias.
¹⁵ He digs a trap, scoops it out, but he fal s into the snare he made himself.	¹⁵ El malvado concibe la maldad, está grávido de malicia y da a luz la mentira.
¹⁶ His spite recoils on his own head, his brutality falls back on his own skul .	¹⁶ Cavó una fosa y la ahondó, pero él mismo cayó en la fosa que hizo:
¹⁷ I thank Yahweh for his saving justice. I sing to the name of the Most High.	¹⁷ su maldad se vuelve sobre su cabeza, su violencia recae sobre su cráneo.
	¹⁸ Daré gracias al Señor por su justicia y cantaré al nombre del Señor Altísimo.
