1 [Lament Of David Which he sang to Yahweh about Cush the Benjaminite] Yahweh my God, I takerefuge in you, save me from al my pursuers and rescue me,	1 Lamentação de Davi, que cantou em honra do Senhor, por causa de Cus, o benjaminita. Senhor, ó meu Deus, é em vós que eu busco meu refúgio; salvai-me de todos os que me perseguem e livrai-me,
2 or he wil savage me like a lion, carry me off with no one to rescue me.	2 para que o inimigo não me arrebate como um leão, e me dilacere sem que ninguém me livre.
3 Yahweh my God, if I have done this: if injustice has stained my hands,	3 Senhor, ó meu Deus, se acaso fiz isso, se minhas mãos cometeram a iniqüidade,
4 if I have repaid my al y with treachery or spared one who attacked me unprovoked,	4 se fiz mal ao homem pacífico, se oprimi os que me perseguiam sem motivo,
5 may an enemy hunt me down and catch me, may he trample my life into the ground and crush my vitalparts into the dust.Pause	5 que o inimigo me persiga e me apanhe, que ele me pise vivo ao solo e atire a minha honra ao pó.
6 Arise, Yahweh, in your anger, rise up against the arrogance of my foes. Awake, my God, you demandjudgement.	6 Levantai-vos, Senhor, na vossa cólera; erguei-vos contra o furor dos que me oprimem, erguei-vos para me defender numa causa que tomastes a vós.
7 Let the assembly of nations gather round you; return above it on high!	7 Que a assembléia das nações vos circunde, presidi-a de um trono elevado.
8 (Yahweh judges the nations.) Judge me, Yahweh, as my uprightness and my integrity deserve.	8 O Senhor é o juiz dos povos. Fazei-me justiça, Senhor, segundo o meu justo direito, conforme minha integridade.
9 Put an end to the malice of the wicked, make the upright stand firm, you who discern hearts and minds,God the upright.	9 Ponde fim à malícia dos ímpios e sustentai o direito, ó Deus de justiça, que sondais os corações e os rins.
10 God is a shield that protects me, saving the honest of heart.	10 O meu escudo é Deus, ele salva os que têm o coração reto.
11 God is an upright judge, slow to anger, but a God at al times threatening	11 Deus é um juiz íntegro, um Deus perpetuamente vingador.
12 for those who wil not repent. Let the enemy whet his sword, draw his bow and make ready;	12 Se eles não se corrigem, ele afiará a espada, entesará o arco e visará.
13 but he is making ready instruments of death for himself and tipping his arrows with fire;	13 Contra os ímpios apresentará dardos mortíferos, lançará flechas inflamadas.
14 look at him: pregnant with malice, conceiving spite, he gives birth to treachery.	14 Eis que o mau está em dores de parto, concebe a malícia e dá à luz a mentira.
15 He digs a trap, scoops it out, but he fal s into the snare he made himself.	15 Abre um fosso profundo, mas cai no abismo por ele mesmo cavado.
16 His spite recoils on his own head, his brutality falls back on his own skul .	16 Sua malícia recairá em sua própria cabeça, e sua violência se voltará contra a sua fronte.
17 I thank Yahweh for his saving justice. I sing to the name of the Most High.	17 Eu, porém, glorificarei o Senhor por sua justiça, e salmodiarei ao nome do Senhor, o Altíssimo.
