EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 Auf, werde licht, denn es kommt dein Licht, und die Herrlichkeit des Herrn geht leuchtend auf über dir.	1 Arise, be enlightened, O Jerusalem: for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
2 Denn siehe, Finsternis bedeckt die Erde und Dunkel die Völker, doch über dir geht leuchtend der Herr auf, seine Herrlichkeit erscheint über dir.	2 For behold darkness shall cover the earth, and a mist the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
3 Völker wandern zu deinem Licht und Könige zu deinem strahlenden Glanz.	3 And the Gentiles shall walk in thy light, and kings in the brightness of thy rising.
4 Blick auf und schau umher: Sie alle versammeln sich und kommen zu dir. Deine Söhne kommen von fern, deine Töchter trägt man auf den Armen herbei.	4 Lift up thy eyes round about, and see: all these are gathered together, they are come to thee: thy sons shah come from afar, and thy daughters shall rise up at thy side.
5 Du wirst es sehen und du wirst strahlen, dein Herz bebt vor Freude und öffnet sich weit.Denn der Reichtum des Meeres strömt dir zu, die Schätze der Völker kommen zu dir.	5 Then shalt thou see, and abound, and thy heart shall wonder and be enlarged, when the multitude of the sea shall be converted to thee, the. strength of the Gentiles shall come to thee.
6 Zahllose Kamele bedecken dein Land, Dromedare aus Midian und Efa. Alle kommen von Saba, bringen Weihrauch und Gold und verkünden die ruhmreichen Taten des Herrn.	6 The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Madian and Epha: all they from Saba shall come, bringing gold and frankincense: and shewing forth praise to the Lord.
7 Alle Schafe von Kedar scharen sich bei dir, die Widder von Nebajot stehen in deinem Dienst.Als willkommene Opfer steigen sie auf meinen Altar; so verherrliche ich mein herrliches Haus.	7 All the flocks of Cedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nabaioth shall minister to thee: they shall be offered upon my acceptable altar, and I will glorify the house of my majesty.
8 Wer sind die, die heranfliegen wie Wolken, wie Tauben zu ihrem Schlag?	8 Who are these, that fly as clouds, and as doves to their windows?
9 Die Schiffe kommen bei mir zusammen, voran die Schiffe von Tarschisch, um deine Söhne mit ihrem Gold und Silber aus der Ferne zu bringen, zum Ruhm des Herrn, deines Gottes, des Heiligen Israels, weil er dich herrlich gemacht hat.	9 For, the islands wait for me, and the ships of the sea in the beginning: that I may bring thy sons from afar: their silver, and their gold with them, to the name of the Lord thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.
10 Fremde bauen deine Mauern, ihre Könige stehen in deinem Dienst. Denn in meinem Zorn habe ich dich geschlagen, aber in meinem Wohlwollen zeige ich dir mein Erbarmen.	10 And the children of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister to thee: for in my wrath have I struck thee, and in my reconciliation have I had mercy upon thee.
11 Deine Tore bleiben immer geöffnet, sie werden bei Tag und bei Nacht nicht geschlossen, damit man den Reichtum der Völker zu dir hineintragen kann; auch ihre Könige führt man herbei.	11 And thy gates shall be open continually: they shall not be shut day nor night, that the strength of the Gentiles may be brought to thee, and their kings may be brought.
12 Denn jedes Volk und jedes Reich, das dir nicht dient, geht zugrunde, die Völker werden völlig vernichtet.	12 For the nation and the kingdom that will not serve thee, shall perish: and the Gentiles shall be wasted with desolation.
13 Die Pracht des Libanon kommt zu dir, Zypressen, Platanen und Eschen zugleich, um meinen heiligen Ort zu schmücken; dann ehre ich den Platz, wo meine Füße ruhen.	13 The glory of Libanus shall come to thee, the Ar tree, and the box tree, and the pine tree together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary: and I will glorify the place of my feet.
14 Gebückt kommen die Söhne deiner Unterdrücker zu dir, alle, die dich verachtet haben, werfen sich dir zu Füßen. Man nennt dich «Die Stadt des Herrn» und «Das Zion des Heiligen Israels».	14 And the children of them that afflict thee, shall come bowing down to thee, and all that slandered thee shall worship the steps of thy feet, and shall call thee the city of the Lord, the Sion of the Holy One of Israel.
15 Dafür, dass du verlassen warst und verhasst und niemand dich besucht hat, mache ich dich zum ewigen Stolz, zur Freude für alle Generationen.	15 Because thou wast forsaken, and hated, and there was none that passed through thee, I will make thee to be an everlasting glory, a joy unto generation and generation:
16 Du wirst die Milch der Völker saugen und an der Brust von Königen trinken. Dann wirst du erkennen, dass ich, der Herr, dein Retter bin und ich, der Starke Jakobs, dein Erlöser.	16 And thou shalt suck the milk of the Gentiles, and thou shalt be nursed with the breasts of kings: and thou shalt know that I am the Lord thy Saviour, and thy Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.
17 Statt Kupfer bringe ich Gold, statt Eisen bringe ich Silber, statt Holz Kupfer und statt Steine Eisen. Ich setze den Frieden als Aufsicht über dich ein und die Gerechtigkeit als deinen Vogt.	17 For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver: and for wood brass, and for stones iron: and I will make thy visitation peace, and thy overseers justice.
18 Man hört nichts mehr von Unrecht in deinem Land, von Verheerung und Zerstörung in deinem Gebiet. Deine Mauern nennst du «Rettung» und deine Tore «Ruhm».	18 Iniquity shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction in thy borders, and salvation shall possess thy walls, and praise thy gates.
19 Bei Tag wird nicht mehr die Sonne dein Licht sein, und um die Nacht zu erhellen, scheint dir nicht mehr der Mond, sondern der Herr ist dein ewiges Licht, dein Gott dein strahlender Glanz.	19 Thou shalt no more have the sun for thy light by day, neither shall the brightness of the moon enlighten thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee for an everlasting light, and thy God for thy glory.
20 Deine Sonne geht nicht mehr unter und dein Mond nimmt nicht mehr ab; denn der Herr ist dein ewiges Licht, zu Ende sind deine Tage der Trauer.	20 Thy sun shall go down no more, and thy moon shall not decrease: for the Lord shall be unto thee for an everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.
21 Dein Volk besteht nur aus Gerechten; sie werden für immer das Land besitzen als aufblühende Pflanzung des Herrn, als das Werk seiner Hände, durch das er seine Herrlichkeit zeigt.	21 And thy people shall be all just, they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hand to glorify me.
22 Der Kleinste wird zu einer Tausendschaft, der Geringste zu einem starken Volk. Ich, der Herr, führe es schnell herbei, sobald es Zeit dafür ist.	22 The least shall become a thousand, and a little one a most strong nation: I the Lord will suddenly do this thing in its time.
