EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL	CATHOLIC PUBLIC DOMAIN
1 Vision des Jesaja, des Sohnes des Amoz, über Juda und Jerusalem, die er zu der Zeit hatte, als Usija, Jotam, Ahas und Hiskija Könige von Juda waren.	1 The vision of Isaiah, the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem, in the days of Uzziah, Joatham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
2 Hört, ihr Himmel! Erde, horch auf! Denn der Herr spricht: Ich habe Söhne großgezogen und emporgebracht, doch sie sind von mir abgefallen.	2 Listen, O heavens, and pay attention, O earth, for the Lord has spoken. I have nurtured and raised children, but they have spurned me.
3 Der Ochse kennt seinen Besitzer und der Esel die Krippe seines Herrn; Israel aber hat keine Erkenntnis, mein Volk hat keine Einsicht.	3 An ox knows his owner, and a donkey knows the manger of his lord, but Israel has not known me, and my people have not understood.
4 Weh dem sündigen Volk, der schuldbeladenen Nation, der Brut von Verbrechern, den verkommenen Söhnen! Sie haben den Herrn verlassen, den Heiligen Israels haben sie verschmäht und ihm den	4 Woe to a sinful nation, a people burdened by iniquity, a wicked offspring, accursed children. They have abandoned the Lord. They have blasphemed the Holy One of Israel. They been taken away backwards.
5 Wohin soll man euch noch schlagen? Ihr bleibt ja doch abtrünnig. Der ganze Kopf ist wund, das ganze Herz ist krank:	5 For what reason shall I continue to strike you, as you increase transgressions? The entire head is feeble, and the entire heart is grieving.
6 Vom Kopf bis zum Fuß kein heiler Fleck, nur Beulen, Striemen und frische Wunden, sie sind nicht ausgedrückt, nicht verbunden, nicht mit Öl gelindert.	6 From the sole of the foot, even to the top of the head, there is no soundness within. Wounds and bruises and swelling sores: these are not bandaged, nor treated with medicine, nor soothed with oil.
7 Euer Land ist verödet, eure Städte sind niedergebrannt. Fremde verzehren vor euren Augen den Ertrag eurer Äcker; verödet wie das zerstörte Sodom ist euer Land.	7 Your land is desolate. Your cities have been set ablaze. Foreigners devour your countryside in your sight, and it will become desolate, as if devastated by enemies.
8 Die Tochter Zion steht verlassen da wie eine Hütte im Weinberg, wie eine Wächterhütte im Gurkenfeld [wie eine belagerte Stadt].	8 And the daughter of Zion will be left behind, like an arbor in a vineyard, and like a shelter in a cucumber field, and like a city being laid to waste.
9 Hätte der Herr der Heere nicht einen Rest für uns übrig gelassen, wir wären wie Sodom geworden, wir glichen Gomorra.	9 If the Lord of hosts had not bequeathed us offspring, we would have been like Sodom, and we would have been comparable to Gomorrah.
10 Hört das Wort des Herrn, ihr Herrscher von Sodom! Vernimm die Weisung unseres Gottes, du Volk von Gomorra!	10 Listen to the Word of the Lord, you leaders of the people of Sodom. Listen closely to the law of our God, O people of Gomorrah.
11 Was soll ich mit euren vielen Schlachtopfern?, spricht der Herr. Die Widder, die ihr als Opfer verbrennt, und das Fett eurer Rinder habe ich satt; das Blut der Stiere, der Lämmer und Böcke ist mir zuwider.	11 The multitude of your sacrifices, what is that to me, says the Lord? I am full. I do not desire holocausts of rams, nor the fat of fatlings, nor the blood of calves and of lambs and of he-goats.
12 Wenn ihr kommt, um mein Angesicht zu schauen - wer hat von euch verlangt, dass ihr meine Vorhöfe zertrampelt?	12 When you approach before my sight, who is it that requires these things from your hands, so that you would walk in my courts?
13 Bringt mir nicht länger sinnlose Gaben, Rauchopfer, die mir ein Gräuel sind. Neumond und Sabbat und Festversammlung - Frevel und Feste - ertrage ich nicht.	13 You should no longer offer sacrifice vain. Incense is an abomination to me. The new moons and the Sabbaths and the other feast days, I will not receive. Your gatherings are iniquitous.
14 Eure Neumondfeste und Feiertage sind mir in der Seele verhasst, sie sind mir zur Last geworden, ich bin es müde, sie zu ertragen.	14 My soul hates your days of proclamation and your solemnities. They have become bothersome to me. I labor to endure them.
15 Wenn ihr eure Hände ausbreitet, verhülle ich meine Augen vor euch. Wenn ihr auch noch so viel betet, ich höre es nicht. Eure Hände sind voller Blut.	15 And so, when you extend your hands, I will avert my eyes from you. And when you multiply your prayers, I will not heed you. For your hands are full of blood.
16 Wascht euch, reinigt euch! Lasst ab von eurem üblen Treiben! Hört auf, vor meinen Augen Böses zu tun!	16 Wash, become clean, take away the evil of your intentions from my eyes. Cease to act perversely.
17 Lernt, Gutes zu tun! Sorgt für das Recht!Helft den Unterdrückten! Verschafft den Waisen Recht, tretet ein für die Witwen!	17 Learn to do good. Seek judgment, support the oppressed, judge for the orphan, defend the widow.
18 Kommt her, wir wollen sehen, wer von uns Recht hat, spricht der Herr. Wären eure Sünden auch rot wie Scharlach, sie sollen weiß werden wie Schnee. Wären sie rot wie Purpur, sie sollen weiß werden wie Wolle.	18 And then approach and accuse me, says the Lord. Then, if your sins are like scarlet, they shall be made white like snow; and if they are red like vermillion, they shall become white like wool.
19 Wenn ihr bereit seid zu hören, sollt ihr den Ertrag des Landes genießen.	19 If you are willing, and you listen to me, then you will eat the good things of the land.
20 Wenn ihr aber trotzig seid und euch weigert, werdet ihr vom Schwert gefressen. Ja, der Mund des Herrn hat gesprochen.	20 But if you are not willing, and you provoke me to anger, then the sword will devour you. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.
21 Ach, sie ist zur Dirne geworden, die treue Stadt. Einst war dort das Recht in voller Geltung,die Gerechtigkeit war dort zu Hause, jetzt aber herrschen die Mörder.	21 How has the faithful city, full of judgment, become a harlot? Justice lived in her, but now murderers.
22 Dein Silber wurde zu Schlacke, dein Wein ist verwässert.	22 Your silver has turned into dross. Your wine has been mixed with water.
23 Deine Fürsten sind Aufrührer und eine Bande von Dieben, alle lassen sich gerne bestechen und jagen Geschenken nach. Sie verschaffen den Waisen kein Recht, die Sache der Witwen gelangt nicht vor sie.	23 Your leaders are unfaithful, the associates of thieves. They all love gifts; they pursue rewards. They do not judge for orphans, and the widow’s case is not brought before them.
24 Darum - Spruch Gottes, des Herrn der Heere, des Starken Israels: Weh meinen Gegnern, ich will Rache nehmen an ihnen, mich rächen an meinen Feinden.	24 Because of this, the Lord God of hosts, the Strength of Israel, says: Ah! I will be consoled over my enemies, and I will be vindicated from my adversaries.
25 Ich will meine Hand gegen dich wenden, deine Schlacken will ich mit Lauge ausschmelzen, all dein Blei schmelze ich aus.	25 And I will turn my hand to you. And I will temper your dross unto purity, and I will take away all your tin.
26 Ich will dir wieder Richter geben wie am Anfang und Ratsherrn wie zu Beginn. Dann wird man dich die Burg der Gerechtigkeit nennen, die treue Stadt.	26 And I will restore your judges, so that they will be as before, and your counselors as in times long past. After this, you shall be called the City of the Just, the Faithful City.
27 Zion wird durch das Recht gerettet, wer dort umkehrt, durch die Gerechtigkeit.	27 Zion will be redeemed in judgment, and they will lead her back to justice.
28 Doch alle Abtrünnigen und Sünder werden zerschmettert. Wer den Herrn verlässt, wird vernichtet.	28 And he shall crush the accursed and sinners together. And those who have abandoned the Lord will be consumed.
29 Ihr werdet in Schande stürzen wegen der Eichen, die euch gefallen, und werdet euch schämen wegen der (heiligen) Haine, die ihr so gern habt.	29 For they shall be confounded because of the idols, to which they have sacrificed. And you shall be ashamed over the gardens that you chose,
30 Ihr werdet wie eine Eiche, deren Blätter verwelken, und wie ein Garten, dessen Wasser versiegt ist.	30 when you were like an oak with falling leaves, and like a garden without water.
31 Dann wird der Starke zu Werg und sein Tun zum zündenden Funken; beide verbrennen zusammen und niemand kann löschen.	31 And your strength will be like the embers from stubble, and your work will be like a spark, and both will burn together, and there will be no one to extinguish it.
