4 "Si faccia il censimento dall'età di vent'anni in su, come il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè e agli Israeliti, quando uscirono dal paese d'Egitto".	4 From twenty years old and upward, as the Lord had commanded: and this is the number of them:

53 "Il paese sarà diviso tra di essi, per essere la loro proprietà, secondo il numero delle persone.	53 To these shall the land be divided for their possessions according to the number of names.
54 A quelli che sono in maggior numero darai in possesso una porzione maggiore; a quelli che sono in minor numero darai una porzione minore; si darà a ciascuno la sua porzione secondo il censimento.	54 To the greater number thou shalt give a greater portion, and to the fewer a less: to every one, as they have now been reckoned up, shall a possession be delivered :
55 Ma la ripartizione del paese sarà gettata a sorte; essi riceveranno la rispettiva proprietà secondo i nomi delle loro tribù paterne.	55 Yet so that by lot the land be divided to the tribe and families.
56 La ripartizione delle proprietà sarà gettata a sorte per tutte le tribù grandi o piccole".	56 Whatsoever shall fall by lot, that shall be taken by the more, or the fewer.

63 Questi sono i registrati da Mosè e dal sacerdote Eleazaro, i quali fecero il censimento degli Israeliti nelle steppe di Moab presso il Giordano di Gèrico.	63 This is the number of the children of Israel, that were enrolled by Moses and Eleazar the priest, in the plains of Moab upon the Jordan, over against Jericho.
64 Fra questi non vi era alcuno di quegli Israeliti dei quali Mosè e il sacerdote Aronne avevano fatto il censimento nel deserto del Sinai,	64 Among whom there was not one of them that were numbered before by Moses and Aaron in the desert of Sinai.
65 perché il Signore aveva detto di loro: "Dovranno morire nel deserto!". E non ne rimase neppure uno, eccetto Caleb figlio di Iefunne, e Giosuè figlio di Nun.	65 For the Lord had foretold that they should die in the wilderness. And none remained of them, but Caleb the son of Jephone, and Josue the son of Nun.
