NEW JERUSALEM	Pattloch Bibel
1 The portion falling to the tribe of the sons of Judah, by clans, was near the frontier of Edom, from thedesert of Zin southwards to Kadesh in the south.	1 Der Stamm der Judäer erhielt nach seinen einzelnen Geschlechtern seinen Losanteil gegen die Grenze von Edom nach der Wüste Zin zu, im äußersten Süden.
2 Their southern frontier began at the tip of the Salt Sea, at the southerly bay;	2 Ihre Südgrenze läuft vom Ende des Salzmeeres von der nach Süden sich erstreckenden Meereszunge
3 it proceeded south of the Ascent of Scorpions, crossed Zin and came up to Kadesh-Barnea from thesouth; past Hezron, it went on to Addar and turned towards Karka;	3 bis südlich zur Skorpionensteige, setzt sich fort nach Zin und zieht sich südlich von Kades-Barnea aufwärts hinüber nach Chezron, weiter nach Addar und wendet sich dann nach Karka.
4 the frontier then went on to Azmon, came out at the Torrent of Egypt and reached as far as the sea.This is to be your southern frontier.	4 Sie geht weiter nach Azmon und setzt sich fort bis zum Bach Ägyptens. Schließlich verläuft die Grenze bis ans Meer. Das ist ihre Südgrenze.
5 The eastern frontier was the Salt Sea as far as the mouth of the Jordan.	5 Die Ostgrenze ist das Salzmeer bis zur Jordanmündung. Die Grenze nach Norden zu läuft von der Nordspitze des Meeres, von der Mündung des Jordans
6 The northern boundary began at the bay at the mouth of the Jordan. The boundary went up to Beth-Hoglah, passed north of Beth-ha-Arabah and went on to the Stone of Bohan son of Reuben.	6 nach Bet-Chogla hinauf und hinüber bis nördlich von Bet-Araba. Weiter zieht sie sich hin zum Steine Bohans, des Sohnes Rubens.
7 The boundary then went on to Debir from the Vale of Achor and turned north towards the stone circleopposite the Ascent of Adummim, which is south of the Torrent; the boundary went on to the Waters of En-Shemesh and came out at En-Rogel.	7 Weiter geht die Grenze nach Debir vom Tale Achor aus und wendet sich nordwärts bis zum Bezirk gegenüber der Steige von Adummim südwärts vom Bachtal. Die Grenze zieht weiter zum Wasser des "Sonnenquells", ihre Ausläufer sind an der Quelle Rogel.
8 It then went back up the Val ey of Hinnom, coming from the south to the flank of the Jebusite -- that is,Jerusalem -- and climbed to the crest of the mountain barring the Valley of Hinnom to the west, at the northernend of the Val ey of the Rephaim.	8 Es zieht sich die Grenze dann aufwärts ins Tal der Söhne Hinnoms südlich vom jebusitischen Bergrücken, das ist Jerusalem. Weiter steigt die Grenze zum Gipfel des Berges empor, westlich vom Tal der Söhne Hinnoms am nördlichen Rande der Ebene Rephaim.
9 From the mountain top, the boundary curved round to the spring of the Waters of Nephtoah, went on tothe towns of Mount Ephron and then turned towards Baalah -- that is, Kiriath-Jearim.	9 Vom Gipfel des Berges biegt die Grenze ab zur Menephtach-Quelle und läuft weiter zu den Städten des Gebirges Ephron; dann biegt sie um nach Baala, d. h. Kirjat-Jearim.
10 From Baalah, the boundary curved westwards to the highlands of Seir, skirted the northern slope ofMount Jearim -- that is, Chesalon -- went down to Beth-Shemesh and through Timnah,	10 Von Baala wendet sich die Grenze westlich nach dem Gebirge Seïr und verläuft hinüber zum Rücken des Berges Jearim ("Wäldergebirge") an der Nordseite, das ist Kesalon. Sie zieht sich dann hinab nach Bet-Schemesch ("Sonnenhaus") und hinüber nach Timna.
11 came out on the northern flank of Ekron, turned towards Shikkeron and, passing through thehighlands of Baalah, came out at Jabneel, and reached as far as the sea.	11 Weiter verläuft die Grenze nordwärts zum Bergrücken von Ekron, dann biegt sie ab nach Schichron, geht vorbei am Berg von Baala und weiter nach Jabneel; schließlich endet die Grenze am Meer.
12 The western boundary was the Great Sea itself. Such was the frontier surrounding the sons of Judah,by clans.	12 Die Westgrenze aber bildet das Große Meer mit Küstengebiet. Dies ist das Gebiet der Judäer im Umkreis nach ihren Einzelgeschlechtern.
13 Caleb son of Jephunneh was given a share within that of the sons of Judah, in accordance withYahweh's order to Joshua: Kiriath-Arba, the town of the father of Anak -- that is, Hebron.	13 Kaleb aber, dem Sohn Jephunnes, gab Josua einen Anteil inmitten der Judäer nach dem Befehl des Herrn an Josua, nämlich die Stadt des Arba, des Vaters des Enak, d. h. Hebron.
14 Caleb drove out the three sons of Anak: Sheshai, Ahiman and Talmai, descended from Anak.	14 Kaleb vertrieb von dort die drei Söhne Enaks: Scheschaj, Achiman und Talmaj, die Enakssprößlinge.
15 From there he marched on the inhabitants of Debir; Debir in olden days was cal ed Kiriath-Sepher.	15 Von da zog er wider die Bewohner von Debir; Debir aber hieß früher Kirjat-Sepher ("Bücherstadt").
16 Caleb then said, 'To the man who attacks and takes Kiriath-Sepher, I shal give my daughter Achsahas wife.'	16 Kaleb tat den Ausspruch: "Wer die "Büchestadt" bezwingt und sie einnimmt, dem gebe ich Achsa, meine Tochter, zur Frau."
17 The man who captured it was Othniel son of Kenaz, brother of Caleb, who gave him his daughterAchsah as wife.	17 Otniel, der Sohn des Kenas, des Bruders Kalebs, nahm sie ein. So gab er ihm denn Achsa, seine Tochter, zur Frau.
18 When she arrived, he urged her to ask her father for arable land, but when she alighted from thedonkey and Caleb asked her, 'What is the matter?'	18 Als sie ihm nun zugeführt wurde, stachelte sie ihn auf, von ihrem Vater ein Feld zu verlangen. Auch ließ sie sich vom Esel herabgleiten, so daß Kaleb sie fragte: "Was ist mit dir?"
19 she said to him, 'Grant me a blessing! As the land you have given me is the Negeb, give me springsof water too!' So Caleb gave her what she wanted, the upper springs and the lower springs.	19 Da antwortete sie: "Gib mir ein Segensgeschenk; denn du hast mich nach dem dürren Südland vergeben! Gib mir doch Wasserstellen!" Da gab er ihr die obere und die untere Wasserstelle.

63 The Jebusites, however, who lived in Jerusalem, the sons of Judah were unable to dispossess, andthe Jebusites stil live in Jerusalem today, side by side with the sons of Judah.	63 Doch die Jebusiter, die Bewohner Jerusalems, konnten die Söhne Judas nicht vertreiben. Die Jebusiter blieben also mit den Judäern in Jerusalem wohnen bis heute.
