Psalms 135

NEW JERUSALEM	STUTTGARTENSIA-DELITZSCH
1 Al eluia! Praise the name of Yahweh, you who serve Yahweh, praise him,	1 הַלְלוּ יָהּ ׀ הַלְלוּ אֶת־שֵׁם יְהוָה הַלְלוּ עַבְדֵי יְהוָה
2 serving in the house of Yahweh, in the courts of the house of our God.	2 עֹמְדִים בְּבֵית יְהוָה בְּחַצְרֹות בֵּית אֱלֹהֵינוּ
3 Praise Yahweh, for Yahweh is good, make music for his name -- it brings joy-	3 הַלְלוּ־יָהּ כִּי־טֹוב יְהוָה זַמְּרוּ לִשְׁמֹו כִּי נָעִים
4 for Yahweh has chosen Jacob for himself, Israel as his own possession.	4 כִּי־יַעֲקֹב בָּחַר לֹו יָהּ יִשְׂרָאֵל לִסְגֻלָּתֹו
5 For I know that Yahweh is great, our Lord is above al gods.	5 כִּי אֲנִי יָדַעְתִּי כִּי־גָדֹול יְהוָה וַאֲדֹנֵינוּ מִכָּל־אֱלֹהִים
6 Yahweh does whatever he pleases in heaven, on earth, in the waters and al the depths.	6 כֹּל אֲשֶׁר־חָפֵץ יְהוָה עָשָׂה בַּשָּׁמַיִם וּבָאָרֶץ בַּיַּמִּים וְכָל־תְּהֹומֹות
7 He summons up clouds from the borders of earth, sends rain with lightning-flashes, and brings thewind out of his storehouse.	7 מַעֲלֶה נְשִׂאִים מִקְצֵה הָאָרֶץ בְּרָקִים לַמָּטָר עָשָׂה מֹוצֵא־רוּחַ מֵאֹוצְרֹותָיו
8 He struck the first-born in Egypt, man and beast alike,	8 הִכָּה בְּכֹורֵי מִצְרָיִם מֵאָדָם עַד־בְּהֵמָה
9 he sent signs and wonders into the heart of Egypt, against Pharaoh and al his officials.	9 שָׁלַח ׀ אֹתֹות וּמֹפְתִים בְּתֹוכֵכִי מִצְרָיִם בְּפַרְעֹה וּבְכָל־עֲבָדָיו
10 He struck down many nations, he slaughtered mighty kings,	10 הִכָּה גֹּויִם רַבִּים וְהָרַג מְלָכִים עֲצוּמִים
11 Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and al the kingdoms of Canaan.	11 לְסִיחֹון ׀ מֶלֶךְ הָאֱמֹרִי וּלְעֹוג מֶלֶךְ הַבָּשָׁן וּלְכֹל מַמְלְכֹות כְּנָעַן
12 He gave their land as a birthright, a birthright to his people Israel.	12 וְנָתַן אַרְצָם נַחֲלָה נַחֲלָה לְיִשְׂרָאֵל עַמֹּו
13 Yahweh, your name endures for ever, Yahweh, your memory is fresh from age to age.	13 יְהוָה שִׁמְךָ לְעֹולָם יְהוָה זִכְרְךָ לְדֹר־וָדֹר
14 For Yahweh vindicates his people, feels compassion for his servants.	14 כִּי־יָדִין יְהוָה עַמֹּו וְעַל־עֲבָדָיו יִתְנֶחָם
15 The idols of the nations are silver and gold, made by human hands.	15 עֲצַבֵּי הַגֹּויִם כֶּסֶף וְזָהָב מַעֲשֵׂה יְדֵי אָדָם
16 These have mouths but say nothing, have eyes but see nothing,	16 פֶּה־לָהֶם וְלֹא יְדַבֵּרוּ עֵינַיִם לָהֶם וְלֹא יִרְאוּ
17 have ears but hear nothing, and they have no breath in their mouths.	17 אָזְנַיִם לָהֶם וְלֹא יַאֲזִינוּ אַף אֵין־יֶשׁ־רוּחַ בְּפִיהֶם
18 Their makers wil end up like them, everyone who relies on them.	18 כְּמֹוהֶם יִהְיוּ עֹשֵׂיהֶם כֹּל אֲשֶׁר־בֹּטֵחַ בָּהֶם
19 House of Israel, bless Yahweh, House of Aaron, bless Yahweh,	19 בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל בָּרֲכוּ אֶת־יְהוָה בֵּית אַהֲרֹן בָּרֲכוּ אֶת־יְהוָה
20 House of Levi, bless Yahweh, you who fear Yahweh, bless Yahweh.	20 בֵּית הַלֵּוִי בָּרֲכוּ אֶת־יְהוָה יִרְאֵי יְהוָה בָּרֲכוּ אֶת־יְהוָה
21 Blessed be Yahweh from Zion, he who dwel s in Jerusalem!	21 בָּרוּךְ יְהוָה ׀ מִצִּיֹּון שֹׁכֵן יְרוּשָׁלִָם הַלְלוּ־יָהּ
