1 Al eluia! Praise the name of Yahweh, you who serve Yahweh, praise him,	1 Alleluia.Lodate il nome del Signore,lodatelo, servi del Signore,
2 serving in the house of Yahweh, in the courts of the house of our God.	2 voi che state nella casa del Signore,negli atri della casa del nostro Dio.
3 Praise Yahweh, for Yahweh is good, make music for his name -- it brings joy-	3 Lodate il Signore, perché il Signore è buono;cantate inni al suo nome, perché è amabile.
4 for Yahweh has chosen Jacob for himself, Israel as his own possession.	4 Il Signore si è scelto Giacobbe,Israele come sua proprietà.
5 For I know that Yahweh is great, our Lord is above al gods.	5 Sì, riconosco che il Signore è grande,il Signore nostro più di tutti gli dèi.
6 Yahweh does whatever he pleases in heaven, on earth, in the waters and al the depths.	6 Tutto ciò che vuoleil Signore lo compie in cielo e sulla terra,nei mari e in tutti gli abissi.
7 He summons up clouds from the borders of earth, sends rain with lightning-flashes, and brings thewind out of his storehouse.	7 Fa salire le nubi dall’estremità della terra,produce le folgori per la pioggia,dalle sue riserve libera il vento.
8 He struck the first-born in Egypt, man and beast alike,	8 Egli colpì i primogeniti d’Egitto,dagli uomini fino al bestiame.
9 he sent signs and wonders into the heart of Egypt, against Pharaoh and al his officials.	9 Mandò segni e prodigiin mezzo a te, Egitto,contro il faraone e tutti i suoi ministri.
10 He struck down many nations, he slaughtered mighty kings,	10 Colpì numerose nazionie uccise sovrani potenti:
11 Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and al the kingdoms of Canaan.	11 Sicon, re degli Amorrei,Og, re di Basan,e tutti i regni di Canaan.
12 He gave their land as a birthright, a birthright to his people Israel.	12 Diede in eredità la loro terra,in eredità a Israele suo popolo.
13 Yahweh, your name endures for ever, Yahweh, your memory is fresh from age to age.	13 Signore, il tuo nome è per sempre;Signore, il tuo ricordo di generazione in generazione.
14 For Yahweh vindicates his people, feels compassion for his servants.	14 Sì, il Signore fa giustizia al suo popoloe dei suoi servi ha compassione.
15 The idols of the nations are silver and gold, made by human hands.	15 Gli idoli delle nazioni sono argento e oro,opera delle mani dell’uomo.
16 These have mouths but say nothing, have eyes but see nothing,	16 Hanno bocca e non parlano,hanno occhi e non vedono,
17 have ears but hear nothing, and they have no breath in their mouths.	17 hanno orecchi e non odono;no, non c’è respiro nella loro bocca.
18 Their makers wil end up like them, everyone who relies on them.	18 Diventi come loro chi li fabbricae chiunque in essi confida.
19 House of Israel, bless Yahweh, House of Aaron, bless Yahweh,	19 Benedici il Signore, casa d’Israele;benedici il Signore, casa di Aronne;
20 House of Levi, bless Yahweh, you who fear Yahweh, bless Yahweh.	20 benedici il Signore, casa di Levi;voi che temete il Signore, benedite il Signore.
21 Blessed be Yahweh from Zion, he who dwel s in Jerusalem!	21 Da Sion, benedetto il Signore,che abita in Gerusalemme!Alleluia.
