Psalms 135

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Al eluia! Praise the name of Yahweh, you who serve Yahweh, praise him,	1 ¡Aleluya! Alaben el nombre del Señor, alábenlo, servidores del Señor,
2 serving in the house of Yahweh, in the courts of the house of our God.	2 los que están en la Casa del Señor, en los atrios del Templo de nuestro Dios.
3 Praise Yahweh, for Yahweh is good, make music for his name -- it brings joy-	3 Alaben al Señor, porque es bueno, canten a su Nombre, porque es amable;
4 for Yahweh has chosen Jacob for himself, Israel as his own possession.	4 porque el Señor eligió a Jacob, a Israel, para que fuera su posesión.
5 For I know that Yahweh is great, our Lord is above al gods.	5 Sí, yo sé que el Señor es grande, nuestro Dios está sobre todos los dioses.
6 Yahweh does whatever he pleases in heaven, on earth, in the waters and al the depths.	6 el Señor hace todo lo que quiere en el cielo y en la tierra, en el mar y en los océanos.
7 He summons up clouds from the borders of earth, sends rain with lightning-flashes, and brings thewind out of his storehouse.	7 Levanta las nubes desde el horizonte, con los relámpagos provoca la lluvia, saca a los vientos de sus depósitos.
8 He struck the first-born in Egypt, man and beast alike,	8 El hirió a los primogénitos de Egipto, tanto a los hombres como a los animales:
9 he sent signs and wonders into the heart of Egypt, against Pharaoh and al his officials.	9 realizó señales y prodigios –en medio de ti, Egipto– contra el Faraón y todos sus ministros.,
10 He struck down many nations, he slaughtered mighty kings,	10 Derrotó a muchas naciones y mató a reyes poderosos:
11 Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and al the kingdoms of Canaan.	11 a Sijón, rey de los amorreos, a Og, rey de Basán, y a todos los reyes de Canaán.
12 He gave their land as a birthright, a birthright to his people Israel.	12 Y dio sus territorios en herencia, en herencia a su pueblo, Israel.
13 Yahweh, your name endures for ever, Yahweh, your memory is fresh from age to age.	13 Tu Nombre, Señor, permanece para siempre, y tu recuerdo, por todas las generaciones:
14 For Yahweh vindicates his people, feels compassion for his servants.	14 porque el Señor defiende a su pueblo y se compadece de sus servidores.
15 The idols of the nations are silver and gold, made by human hands.	15 Los ídolos de las naciones son plata y oro, obra de las manos de los hombres:
16 These have mouths but say nothing, have eyes but see nothing,	16 tienen boca, pero no hablan; tienen ojos, pero no ven;
17 have ears but hear nothing, and they have no breath in their mouths.	17 tienen orejas, pero no oyen, y no hay aliento en su boca.
18 Their makers wil end up like them, everyone who relies on them.	18 ¡Qué sean como ellos los que los fabrican, y también los que confían en ellos!
19 House of Israel, bless Yahweh, House of Aaron, bless Yahweh,	19 Pueblo de Israel, bendice al Señor; familia de Aarón, bendice al Señor;
20 House of Levi, bless Yahweh, you who fear Yahweh, bless Yahweh.	20 familia de Leví, bendice al Señor; fieles del Señor, bendigan al Señor.
21 Blessed be Yahweh from Zion, he who dwel s in Jerusalem!	21 ¡Bendito sea el Señor desde Sión, el que habita en Jerusalén! ¡Aleluya!
