Psalms 104

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 Bless Yahweh, my soul, Yahweh, my God, how great you are! Clothed in majesty and splendour,	1 ¡Alma mía, bendice a Yahveh! ¡Yahveh, Dios mío, qué grande eres! Vestido de esplendor y majestad,
2 wearing the light as a robe! You stretch out the heavens like a tent,	2 arropado de luz como de un manto, tú despliegas los cielos lo mismo que una tienda,
3 build your palace on the waters above, making the clouds your chariot, gliding on the wings of thewind,	3 levantas sobre las aguas tus altas moradas; haciendo de las nubes carro tuyo, sobre las alas del viento te deslizas;
4 appointing the winds your messengers, flames of fire your servants.	4 tomas por mensajeros a los vientos, a las llamas del fuego por ministros.
5 You fixed the earth on its foundations, for ever and ever it shal not be shaken;	5 Sobre sus bases asentaste la tierra, inconmovible para siempre jamás.
6 you covered it with the deep like a garment, the waters overtopping the mountains.	6 Del océano, cual vestido, la cubriste, sobre los montes persistían las aguas;
7 At your reproof the waters fled, at the voice of your thunder they sped away,	7 al increparlas tú, emprenden la huída, se precipitan al oír tu trueno,
8 flowing over mountains, down val eys, to the place you had fixed for them;	8 y saltan por los montes, descienden por los valles, hasta el lugar que tú les asignaste;
9 you made a limit they were not to cross, they were not to return and cover the earth.	9 un término les pones que no crucen, por que no vuelvan a cubrir la tierra.
10 In the ravines you opened up springs, running down between the mountains,	10 Haces manar las fuentes en los valles, entre los montes se deslizan;
11 supplying water for al the wild beasts; the wild asses quench their thirst,	11 a todas las bestias de los campos abrevan, en ellas su sed apagan los onagros;
12 on their banks the birds of the air make their nests, they sing among the leaves.	12 sobre ellas habitan las aves de los cielos, dejan oír su voz entre la fronda.
13 From your high hal s you water the mountains, satisfying the earth with the fruit of your works:	13 De tus altas moradas abrevas las montañas, del fruto de tus obras se satura la tierra;
14 for cattle you make the grass grow, and for people the plants they need, to bring forth food from theearth,	14 la hierba haces brotar para el ganado, y las plantas para el uso del hombre, para que saque de la tierra el pan,
15 and wine to cheer people's hearts, oil to make their faces glow, food to make them sturdy of heart.	15 y el vino que recrea el corazón del hombre, para que lustre su rostro con aceite y el pan conforte el corazón del hombre.
16 The trees of Yahweh drink their fill, the cedars of Lebanon which he sowed;	16 Se empapan bien los árboles de Yahveh, los cedros del Líbano que él plantó;
17 there the birds build their nests, on the highest branches the stork makes its home;	17 allí ponen los pájaros su nido, su casa en su copa la cigüeña;
18 for the wild goats there are the mountains, in the crags the coneys find refuge.	18 los altos montes, para los rebecos, para los damanes, el cobijo de las rocas.
19 He made the moon to mark the seasons, the sun knows when to set.	19 Hizo la luna para marcar los tiempos, conoce el sol su ocaso;
20 You bring on darkness, and night fal s, when al the forest beasts roam around;	20 mandas tú las tinieblas, y es la noche, en ella rebullen todos los animales de la selva,
21 young lions roar for their prey, asking God for their food.	21 los leoncillos rugen por la presa, y su alimento a Dios reclaman.
22 The sun rises and away they steal, back to their lairs to lie down,	22 Cuando el sol sale, se recogen, y van a echarse a sus guaridas;
23 and man goes out to work, to labour til evening falls.	23 el hombre sale a su trabajo, para hacer su faena hasta la tarde.
24 How countless are your works, Yahweh, al of them made so wisely! The earth is ful of yourcreatures.	24 ¡Cuán numerosas tus obras, Yahveh! Todas las has hecho con sabiduría, de tus criaturas está llena la tierra.
25 Then there is the sea, with its vast expanses teeming with countless creatures, creatures both greatand smal ;	25 Ahí está el mar, grande y de amplios brazos, y en él el hervidero innumerable de animales, grandes y pequeños;
26 there ships pass to and fro, and Leviathan whom you made to sport with.	26 por allí circulan los navíos, y Leviatán que tú formaste para jugar con él.
27 They al depend upon you, to feed them when they need it.	27 Todos ellos de ti están esperando que les des a su tiempo su alimento;
28 You provide the food they gather, your open hand gives them their fil .	28 tú se lo das y ellos lo toman, abres tu mano y se sacian de bienes.
29 Turn away your face and they panic; take back their breath and they die and revert to dust.	29 Escondes tu rostro y se anonadan, les retiras su soplo, y expiran y a su polvo retornan.
30 Send out your breath and life begins; you renew the face of the earth.	30 Envías tu soplo y son creados, y renuevas la faz de la tierra.
31 Glory to Yahweh for ever! May Yahweh find joy in his creatures!	31 ¡Sea por siempre la gloria de Yahveh, en sus obras Yahveh se regocije!
32 At his glance the earth trembles, at his touch the mountains pour forth smoke.	32 El que mira a la tierra y ella tiembla, toca los montes y echan humo.
33 I shal sing to Yahweh al my life, make music for my God as long as I live.	33 A Yahveh mientras viva he de cantar, mientras exista salmodiaré para mi Dios.
34 May my musings be pleasing to him, for Yahweh gives me joy.	34 ¡Oh, que mi poema le complazca! Yo en Yahveh tengo mi gozo.
35 May sinners vanish from the earth, and the wicked exist no more! Bless Yahweh, my soul.	35 ¡Que se acaben los pecadores en la tierra, y ya no más existan los impíos! ¡Bendice a Yahveh, alma mía!
