1 Bless Yahweh, my soul, Yahweh, my God, how great you are! Clothed in majesty and splendour,	1 Áldjad, én lelkem, az Urat! Uram, én Istenem, te mindennél magasztosabb vagy! Fenségbe és ékességbe öltöztél,
2 wearing the light as a robe! You stretch out the heavens like a tent,	2 a fényességet, mint köntöst vetted magadra. Kifeszíted az égboltozatot, mint a sátorponyvát,
3 build your palace on the waters above, making the clouds your chariot, gliding on the wings of thewind,	3 és az égi vizek fölé építed hajlékodat. Szekereddé teszed a fellegeket, a szelek szárnyain jársz.
4 appointing the winds your messengers, flames of fire your servants.	4 Követeiddé teszed a szeleket, szolgáiddá a perzselő tüzet.
5 You fixed the earth on its foundations, for ever and ever it shal not be shaken;	5 Biztos alapra állítottad a földet, hogy meg ne inogjon sohasem.
6 you covered it with the deep like a garment, the waters overtopping the mountains.	6 Az örvénylő mélység mint ruha takarta, vizek borították a hegyeket.
7 At your reproof the waters fled, at the voice of your thunder they sped away,	7 De a te fenyegetésedre megfutamodtak, szerteriadtak mennydörgésed szavától.
8 flowing over mountains, down val eys, to the place you had fixed for them;	8 A hegyek fölemelkedtek, a völgyek leereszkedtek arra a helyre, ahol alapjukat megvetetted.
9 you made a limit they were not to cross, they were not to return and cover the earth.	9 Határt szabtál a vizeknek, amelyet nem léphetnek át, hogy el ne borítsák ismét a földet.

13 From your high hal s you water the mountains, satisfying the earth with the fruit of your works:	13 Hajlékaidból megöntözöd a hegyeket, és műveid gyümölcséből táplálod a földet.
14 for cattle you make the grass grow, and for people the plants they need, to bring forth food from theearth,	14 Füvet sarjasztasz az állatoknak, és növényeket az ember szolgálatára, kenyeret adsz a földből,
15 and wine to cheer people's hearts, oil to make their faces glow, food to make them sturdy of heart.	15 és bort, hogy vidámítsa az ember szívét; Hogy ragyogjon arca az olajtól, és a kenyér erősítse az ember szívét.
16 The trees of Yahweh drink their fill, the cedars of Lebanon which he sowed;	16 Jóllaknak az Úr fái, s a Libanon cédrusai, amelyeket ő ültetett.

18 for the wild goats there are the mountains, in the crags the coneys find refuge.	18 A magas hegyek a szarvasok, a szirtek a borzok menedéke.
19 He made the moon to mark the seasons, the sun knows when to set.	19 Megalkottad a holdat az idő mérésére, a napot, amely tudja, mikor kell lenyugodnia.
20 You bring on darkness, and night fal s, when al the forest beasts roam around;	20 Sötétséget rendelsz és leszáll az éjszaka: ebben mozognak az erdő vadjai,

22 The sun rises and away they steal, back to their lairs to lie down,	22 Ha felkél a nap, összegyűlnek, nyugalomra térnek tanyájukon.
23 and man goes out to work, to labour til evening falls.	23 Az ember kimegy dolgozni, és munkáját végzi egészen estig.
24 How countless are your works, Yahweh, al of them made so wisely! The earth is ful of yourcreatures.	24 Uram, milyen nagyok a te műveid! Bölcsességgel teremtetted valamennyit, és alkotásaid betöltötték a földet.
25 Then there is the sea, with its vast expanses teeming with countless creatures, creatures both greatand smal ;	25 Itt a tenger: nagy és tágas, nyüzsög benne a számtalan hüllő, apró és nagy állat egyaránt.
26 there ships pass to and fro, and Leviathan whom you made to sport with.	26 Itt hajók szelik át, amott a Leviatán, amelyet arra alkottál, hogy játékát űzze benne.
27 They al depend upon you, to feed them when they need it.	27 Mindezek tőled várják, hogy idejében megadd nekik eledelüket.
28 You provide the food they gather, your open hand gives them their fil .	28 Ha adsz nekik, felszedik, ha megnyitod kezedet, jóllaknak javaiddal.
29 Turn away your face and they panic; take back their breath and they die and revert to dust.	29 De ha elfordítod arcodat, megrémülnek, ha lélegzetüket megvonod, elenyésznek, és porrá lesznek ismét.
30 Send out your breath and life begins; you renew the face of the earth.	30 Kiárasztod lelkedet, s ők életre kelnek, és megújítod a föld színét.
31 Glory to Yahweh for ever! May Yahweh find joy in his creatures!	31 Dicsőség az Úrnak mindörökké, örvendezzen műveinek az Úr,
32 At his glance the earth trembles, at his touch the mountains pour forth smoke.	32 akinek a tekintetére megremeg a föld, s érintésére füstöt vetnek a hegyek.
33 I shal sing to Yahweh al my life, make music for my God as long as I live.	33 Énekelek az Úrnak, amíg élek, amíg leszek, zsoltárt zengek Istenemnek.
34 May my musings be pleasing to him, for Yahweh gives me joy.	34 Beszédem legyen kedves előtte, én pedig az Úrban leljem gyönyörűségem.
35 May sinners vanish from the earth, and the wicked exist no more! Bless Yahweh, my soul.	35 Vesszenek el a bűnösök a földről, és ne legyenek többé az istentelenek! Áldjad, én lelkem, az Urat!
