1 Make your appeal then. Wil you find an answer? To which of the holy ones wil you turn?	1 Καλεσον τωρα, εαν τις σοι αποκριθη; και προς τινα των αγιων θελεις αποβλεψει;
2 Resentment kil s the senseless, and anger brings death to the fool.	2 Διοτι η οργη φονευει τον αφρονα, και η αγανακτησις θανατονει τον μωρον.
3 I have seen the senseless taking root, when a curse fel suddenly on his house.	3 Εγω ειδον τον αφρονα ριζουμενον? αλλ' ευθυς προειπα κατηραμενην την κατοικιαν αυτου.
4 His children are deprived of prop and stay, ruined at the gate, and no one to defend them;	4 Οι υιοι αυτου ειναι μακραν απο της σωτηριας, και καταπιεζονται εμπροσθεν της πυλης, και ουδεις ο ελευθερων?
5 their harvest goes to feed the hungry, God snatches it from their mouths, and covetous people thirst fortheir possessions.	5 των οποιων τον θερισμον κατατρωγει ο πεινων, και αρπαζει αυτον εκ των ακανθων και την περιουσιαν αυτων καταπινει ο διψων.
6 No, misery does not grow out of the soil, nor sorrow spring from the ground.	6 Διοτι εκ του χωματος δεν εξερχεται η θλιψις, ουδε η λυπη βλαστανει εκ της γης?
7 It is people who breed trouble for themselves as surely as eagles fly to the height.	7 αλλ' ο ανθρωπος γενναται δια την λυπην, και οι νεοσσοι των αετων δια να πετωσιν υψηλα.
8 If I were you, I should appeal to God and lay my case before him.	8 Αλλ' εγω τον Θεον θελω επικαλεσθη, και εν τω Θεω θελω εναποθεσει την υποθεσιν μου?
9 His works are great, past al reckoning, marvels beyond al counting.	9 οστις καμνει μεγαλεια ανεξιχνιαστα, θαυμασια αναριθμητα?
10 He sends down rain to the earth, pours down water on the fields.	10 οστις διδει βροχην επι το προσωπον της γης, και πεμπει υδατα επι το προσωπον των αγρων?
11 If his wil is to raise up the downcast, or exalt the afflicted to the heights of prosperity,	11 οστις υψονει τους ταπεινους, και ανεγειρει εις σωτηριαν τους τεθλιμμενους?
12 he frustrates the plans of the artful so that they cannot succeed in their intrigues.	12 οστις διασκεδαζει τας βουλας των πανουργων, και δεν δυνανται αι χειρες αυτων να εκτελεσωσι την επιχειρησιν αυτων?
13 He traps the crafty in the snare of their own trickery, throws the plans of the cunning into disarray.	13 οστις συλλαμβανει τους σοφους εν τη πανουργια αυτων? και η βουλη των δολιων ανατρεπεται?
14 In daylight they come up against darkness, and grope their way as if noon were night.	14 την ημεραν απαντωσι σκοτος, και εν μεσημβρια ψηλαφωσι καθως εν νυκτι.
15 He rescues the bankrupt from their jaws, and the needy from the grasp of the mighty.	15 Τον πτωχον ομως λυτρονει εκ της ρομφαιας, εκ του στοματος αυτων και εκ της χειρος του ισχυρου.
16 Hope springs afresh for the weak, and wickedness must shut its mouth.	16 Και ο πτωχος εχει ελπιδα, της δε ανομιας το στομα εμφραττεται.
17 Blessed are those whom God corrects! Do not then scorn the lesson of Shaddai!	17 Ιδου, μακαριος ο ανθρωπος, τον οποιον ελεγχει ο Θεος? δια τουτο μη καταφρονει την παιδειαν του Παντοδυναμου?
18 For he who wounds is he who soothes the sore, and the hand that hurts is the hand that heals.	18 διοτι αυτος πληγονει και επιδενει? κτυπα, και αι χειρες αυτου ιατρευουσιν.
19 Six times he wil deliver you from sorrow, and the seventh time, evil wil not touch you.	19 Εν εξ θλιψεσι θελει σε ελευθερωσει? και εν τη εβδομη δεν θελει σε εγγισει κακον.
20 In time of famine, he wil save you from death, and in wartime from the stroke of the sword.	20 Εν τη πεινη θελει σε λυτρωσει εκ θανατου? και εν πολεμω εκ χειρος ρομφαιας.
21 You will be safe from the lash of the tongue, unafraid at the approach of the despoiler.	21 Απο μαστιγος γλωσσης θελεις εισθαι πεφυλαγμενος? και δεν θελεις φοβηθη απο του επερχομενου ολεθρου.
22 You will laugh at drought and frost, and have no fear of the beasts of the earth.	22 Τον ολεθρον και την πειναν θελεις καταγελα? και δεν θελεις φοβηθη απο των θηριων της γης.
23 You will have a pact with the stones of the field, and live in amity with wild beasts.	23 Διοτι θελεις εχει συμμαχιαν μετα των λιθων της πεδιαδος? και τα θηρια του αγρου θελουσιν ειρηνευει μετα σου.
24 You will know that your tent is secure, and your sheepfold unharmed when you inspect it.	24 Και θελεις γνωρισει οτι ειρηνη ειναι εν τη σκηνη σου, και θελεις επισκεφθη την κατοικιαν σου, και δεν θελει σοι λειπει ουδεν.
25 You will see your descendants multiply, your offspring grow like the grass in the fields.	25 Και θελεις γνωρισει οτι ειναι πολυ το σπερμα σου, και οι εκγονοι σου ως η βοτανη της γης.
26 At a ripe age you wil go to the grave, like a wheatsheaf stacked in due season.	26 Θελεις ελθει εις τον ταφον εν βαθει γηρατι, καθως συσσωρευεται η θημωνια του σιτου εν τω καιρω αυτης.
27 Al this we have observed and it is so! Heed it, you wil be the wiser for it!	27 Ιδου, τουτο εξιχνιασαμεν, ουτως εχει? ακουσον αυτο και γνωρισον εν σεαυτω.
