NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 Why does Shaddai not make known the times he has fixed; why do his faithful never see his Days?	1 لماذا اذ لم تختبئ الازمنة من القدير لا يرى عارفوه يومه.
2 The wicked move boundary-marks away, they carry off flock and shepherd.	2 ينقلون التخوم. يغتصبون قطيعا ويرعونه.
3 They drive away the orphan's donkey, as security, they seize the widow's ox.	3 يستاقون حمار اليتامى ويرتهنون ثور الارملة.
4 The needy have to keep out of the way, poor country people have to keep out of sight.	4 يصدّون الفقراء عن الطريق. مساكين الارض يختبئون جميعا.
5 Like wild desert donkeys, they go out to work, searching from dawn for food, and at evening forsomething on which to feed their children.	5 ها هم كالفراء في القفر يخرجون الى عملهم يبكرون للطعام. البادية لهم خبز لاولادهم.
6 They go harvesting in the field of some scoundrel, they go pilfering in the vineyards of the wicked.	6 في الحقل يحصدون علفهم ويعللون كرم الشرير.
7 They spend the night naked, lacking clothes, with no covering against the cold.	7 يبيتون عراة بلا لبس وليس لهم كسوة في البرد.
8 Mountain rainstorms cut them through, unsheltered, they hug the rocks.	8 يبتلّون من مطر الجبال ولعدم الملجإ يعتنقون الصخر
9 The orphan child is torn from the breast, the child of the poor is exacted as security.	9 يخطفون اليتيم عن الثدي ومن المساكين يرتهنون.
10 They go about naked, lacking clothes, and starving while they carry the sheaves.	10 عراة يذهبون بلا لبس وجائعين يحملون حزما.
11 Two little wal s, their shelter at high noon; parched with thirst, they have to tread the winepress.	11 يعصرون الزيت داخل اسوارهم. يدوسون المعاصر ويعطشون.
12 From the towns come the groans of the dying and the gasp of the wounded crying for help. Yet Godremains deaf to prayer!	12 من الوجع اناس يئنون ونفس الجرحى تستغيث والله لا ينتبه الى الظلم
13 In contrast, there are those who reject the light: who know nothing of its ways and who do notfrequent its paths.	13 اولئك يكونون بين المتمردين على النور لا يعرفون طرقه ولا يلبثون في سبله.
14 When all is dark the murderer leaves his bed to kil the poor and needy. During the night the thiefgoes on the prowl,	14 مع النور يقوم القاتل يقتل المسكين والفقير وفي الليل يكون كاللص.
15 The eye of the adulterer watches for twilight, 'No one wil see me,' he mutters as he masks his face.Inthe daytime they keep out of sight, these people who do not want to know the light.	15 وعين الزاني تلاحظ العشاء. يقول لا تراقبني عين. فيجعل سترا على وجهه.
16 breaking into houses while the darkness lasts.	16 ينقبون البيوت في الظلام. في النهار يغلقون على انفسهم. لا يعرفون النور.
17 For al of them, morning is a time of shadow dark as death, since that is when they know what fear is.	17 لانه سواء عليهم الصباح وظل الموت. لانهم يعلمون اهوال ظل الموت.
18	18 خفيف هو على وجه المياه. ملعون نصيبهم في الارض. لا يتوجه الى طريق الكروم.
19	19 القحط والقيظ يذهبان بمياه الثلج. كذا الهاوية بالذين اخطأوا.
20	20 تنساه الرحم يستحليه الدود. لا يذكر بعد وينكسر الاثيم كشجرة.
21	21 يسيء الى العاقر التي لم تلد ولا يحسن الى الارملة.
22	22 يمسك الاعزاء بقوته. يقوم فلا يأمن احد بحياته.
23	23 يعطيه طمأنينة فيتوكل ولكن عيناه على طرقهم.
24	24 يترفعون قليلا ثم لا يكونون ويحطون. كالكل يجمعون وكرأس السنبلة يقطعون.
25 Is this not so? Who can prove me a liar or show that my words have no substance?	25 وان لم يكن كذا فمن يكذبني ويجعل كلامي لا شيئا
