1 Hallelujah! Give thanks to the LORD, who is good, whose love endures forever.	1 Aleluja! Hvalite Jahvu jer je dobar, jer je vječna ljubav njegova!
2 Who can tell the mighty deeds of the LORD, proclaim in full God's praise?	2 Tko će izreć’ djela moći Jahvine, tko li mu iskazat’ sve pohvale?
3 Happy those who do what is right, whose deeds are always just.	3 Blaženi što drže naredbe njegove i čine pravo u svako doba!
4 Remember me, LORD, as you favor your people; come to me with your saving help,	4 Sjeti me se, Jahve, po dobroti prema svome puku, pohodi me spasenjem svojim
5 That I may see the prosperity of your chosen, rejoice in the joy of your people, and glory with your heritage.	5 da uživam sreću izabranih tvojih, da se radujem radosti naroda tvoga, da tvojom se baštinom ponosim.
6 We have sinned like our ancestors; we have done wrong and are guilty.	6 Zgriješismo kao oci naši, činismo bezakonje, bezbožno radismo.
7 Our ancestors in Egypt did not attend to your wonders. They did not remember your great love; they defied the Most High at the Red Sea.	7 Oci naši u Egiptu, nehajni za čudesa tvoja, ne spominjahu se velike ljubavi tvoje, već na Svevišnjeg digoše se na Crvenom moru.
8 Yet he saved them for his name's sake to make his power known.	8 Al’ on ih izbavi rad’ imena svoga da pokaže silu svoju.
9 He roared at the Red Sea and it dried up. He led them through the deep as through a desert.	9 Zapovjedi Crvenome moru, i presahnu ono, provede ih izmeđ’ válâ kao kroz pustinju.
10 He rescued them from hostile hands, freed them from the power of the enemy.	10 Iz ruku mrzitelja njih izbavi, oslobodi iz ruku dušmana.
11 The waters covered their oppressors; not one of them survived.	11 I prekriše vode neprijatelje njine, ne ostade nijednoga od njih.
12 Then they believed his words and sang songs of praise.	12 Vjerovahu riječima njegovim i hvale mu pjevahu.
13 But they soon forgot all he had done; they had no patience for his plan.	13 Zaboraviše brzo djela njegova, ne uzdaše se u volju njegovu.
14 In the desert they gave way to their cravings, tempted God in the wasteland.	14 Pohlepi se daše u pustinji, iskušavahu Boga u samoći.
15 So he gave them what they asked and sent among them a wasting disease.	15 I dade im što iskahu, al’ u duše njine on groznicu posla.
16 In the camp they challenged Moses and Aaron, the holy one of the LORD.	16 Zavidješe tada Mojsiju u taboru, Aronu, kog posveti Jahve.
17 The earth opened and swallowed Dathan, it closed on the followers of Abiram.	17 Otvori se zemlja, Datana proždrije, Abiramovo pokri mnoštvo.
18 Against that company the fire blazed; flames consumed the wicked.	18 Oganj pade na sve mnoštvo njino i zlotvore plamen sažga.
19 At Horeb they fashioned a calf, worshiped a metal statue.	19 Načiniše tele na Horebu, klanjahu se liku od zlata slivenu.
20 They exchanged their glorious God for the image of a grass-eating bull.	20 Zamijeniše Slavu svoju likom bika što proždire travu.
21 They forgot the God who saved them, who did great deeds in Egypt,	21 Zaboraviše Boga, koji ih izbavi u Egiptu znamenja čineći
22 Amazing deeds in the land of Ham, fearsome deeds at the Red Sea.	22 i čudesa u Kamovoj zemlji i strahote na Crvenome moru.
23 He would have decreed their destruction, had not Moses, the chosen leader, Withstood him in the breach to turn back his destroying anger.	23 Već namisli da ih satre, al’ Mojsije, izabranik njegov, zauze se za njih da srdžbu mu odvrati, te ih ne uništi.
24 Next they despised the beautiful land; they did not believe the promise.	24 Prezreše oni zemlju željkovanu ne vjerujuć’ njegovoj riječi.
25 In their tents they complained; they did not obey the LORD.	25 Mrmljahu pod šatorima svojim, ne poslušaše glasa Jahvina.
26 So with raised hand he swore to destroy them in the desert,	26 Zakle se tada podignutom rukom: sve će ih pokosit’ u pustinji,
27 To scatter their descendants among the nations, disperse them in foreign lands.	27 potomstvo njino međ’ narode razbacat’, njih razasut’ po zemljama.
28 They joined in the rites of Baal of Peor, ate food sacrificed to dead gods.	28 Posvetiše se Baal Peoru i jedoše žrtve bogova mrtvih.
29 They provoked him by their actions, and a plague broke out among them.	29 Razjariše ga nedjelima svojim, i on na njih pošast baci.
30 Then Phinehas rose to intervene, and the plague was brought to a halt.	30 Al’ se Pinhas diže, sud izvrši i pošasti nesta tada.
31 This was counted for him as a righteous deed for all generations to come.	31 U zasluge to mu uđe u sva pokoljenja dovijeka.
32 At the waters of Meribah they angered God, and Moses suffered because of them.	32 Razjariše ga opet kraj voda meripskih, i Mojsija zlo pogodi zbog njih,
33 They so embittered his spirit that rash words crossed his lips.	33 jer mu duh već ogorčiše, nesmotrenu riječ izusti.
34 They did not destroy the peoples as the LORD had commanded them,	34 I ne istrijebiše naroda za koje im Jahve bješe naredio.
35 But mingled with the nations and imitated their ways.	35 S poganima miješahu se, naučiše djela njina.
36 They worshiped their idols and were ensnared by them.	36 Štovahu likove njihove, koji im postaše zamka.
37 They sacrificed to the gods their own sons and daughters,	37 Žrtvovahu sinove svoje i svoje kćeri zlodusima.
38 Shedding innocent blood, the blood of their own sons and daughters, Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, desecrating the land with bloodshed.	38 Prolijevahu krv nevinu, krv sinova i kćeri svojih, koje žrtvovahu likovima kanaanskim. Zemlja bješe krvlju okaljana,
39 They defiled themselves by their actions, became adulterers by their conduct.	39 djelima se svojim uprljaše, učiniše preljub svojim nedjelima.
40 So the LORD grew angry with his people, abhorred his own heritage.	40 Na svoj narod Jahve srdžbom planu, zgadi mu se njegova baština.
41 He handed them over to the nations, and their adversaries ruled them.	41 Predade ih u ruke pogana te vladahu njima mrzitelji njini.
42 Their enemies oppressed them, kept them under subjection.	42 Mučili ih neprijatelji i tlačili rukom svojom.
43 Many times did he rescue them, but they kept rebelling and scheming and were brought low by their own guilt.	43 Prečesto ih izbavljaše, al’ ga razjariše naumima svojim: pokošeni bjehu za bezakonja svoja.
44 Still God had regard for their affliction when he heard their wailing.	44 On pogleda opet na nevolju njinu kad njihove molitve začu
45 For their sake he remembered his covenant and relented in his abundant love,	45 i sjeti se svog saveza s njima, sažali se na njih u velikom milosrđu svome.
46 Winning for them compassion from all who held them captive.	46 Učini da nađu milost u onih što ih bjehu zarobili.
47 Save us, LORD, our God; gather us from among the nations That we may give thanks to your holy name and glory in praising you.	47 Spasi nas, Jahve, Bože naš, i saberi nas od bezbožnih naroda da slavimo tvoje sveto ime, da se tvojom slavom ponosimo.
48 Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting! Let all the people say, Amen! Hallelujah!	48 Blagoslovljen Jahve, Bog Izraelov, od vijeka dovijeka! I sav narod neka kaže: »Amen! Aleluja!«
