1 Eis as etapas que fizeram os israelitas desde a sua partida do Egito em tropas organizadas sob as ordens de Moisés e Aarão.	1 These were the stages of the journey made by the Israelites when they left Egypt in their companiesunder the leadership of Moses and Aaron.
2 Moisés, por ordem do Senhor, tomou nota de suas marchas por etapas. São as seguintes essas marchas em etapas:	2 Moses recorded their starting-points in writing whenever they moved on at Yahweh's order. Thestages, from one starting-point to another, were as fol ows:
3 No décimo quinto dia do primeiro mês partiram de Ramsés. Isso foi no dia seguinte à Páscoa; partiram com a mão levantada, à vista de todos os egípcios	3 They left Rameses in the first month. It was the fifteenth day of the first month, the day following thePassover, when the Israelites confidently set out, under the eyes of al Egypt.
4 que estavam enterrando aqueles que o Senhor tinha ferido dentre eles, todos os seus primogênitos. Também contra os seus deuses o Senhor tinha exercido o seu juízo.	4 The Egyptians were burying those of their own people whom Yahweh had struck down, all the first-born; Yahweh had carried out his judgement on their gods.
5 Partidos de Ramsés, os israelitas se detiveram em Socot,	5 The Israelites left Rameses and camped at Succoth.
6 de onde partiram, indo acampar em Etão, situado na extremidade do deserto.	6 Then they left Succoth and encamped at Etham which is on the edge of the desert.
7 Dali, voltaram a Fi-Hairot, defronte de Beelsefon, e acamparam diante de Magdalum.	7 They left Etham, turned back to Pi-Hahiroth, opposite Baal-Zephon, and encamped before Migdol.
8 Deixando Fi-Hairot, passaram pelo meio do mar para o deserto. Após três dias de marcha na solidão de Etão, detiveram-se em Mara.	8 They left Pi-Hahiroth, crossed the sea into the desert, and after marching for three days in the desertof Etham they encamped at Marah.
9 Partindo de Mara, ganharam Elim, onde havia doze fontes e setenta palmeiras; e acamparam ali.	9 They left Marah and reached Elim. At Elim there were twelve springs of water and seventy palmtrees; they encamped there.
10 Saindo de Elim, foram acampar junto do mar Vermelho,	10 They left Elim and encamped by the Sea of Reeds.
11 de onde partiram e acamparam no deserto de Sin.	11 They left the Sea of Reeds and encamped in the desert of Sin.
12 Tendo partido do deserto de Sin, acamparam em Dafca,	12 They left the desert of Sin and encamped at Dophkah.
13 de onde foram para Alus.	13 They left Dophkah and encamped at Alush.
14 Dali, partiram e acamparam em Rafidim, onde o povo não encontrou água para beber.	14 They left Alush and encamped at Rephidim; the people found no drinking water there.
15 Partidos de Rafidim, acamparam no deserto do Sinai.	15 They left Rephidim and encamped in the desert of Sinai.
16 Saindo do deserto do Sinai, foram acampar em Kibrot-Hataava,	16 They left the desert of Sinai and encamped at Kibroth-ha-Taavah.
17 de onde foram acampar em Haserot.	17 They left Kibroth-ha-Taavah and encamped at Hazeroth.
18 De lá, acamparam em Retma.	18 They left Hazeroth and encamped at Rithmah.
19 De Retma foram a Remonfarés.	19 They left Rithmah and encamped at Rimmon-Perez.
20 De Remonfarés a Lebna.	20 They left Rimmon-Perez and encamped at Libnah.
21 De Lebna a Ressa.	21 They left Libnah and encamped at Rissah.
22 De Ressa a Ceelata.	22 They left Rissah and encamped at Kehelathah.
23 Deixaram Ceelata e acamparam no monte Sefer.	23 They left Kehelathah and encamped at Mount Shepher.
24 Dali foram acampar em Arada.	24 They left Mount Shepher and encamped at Haradah.
25 De lá a Macelot.	25 They left Haradah and encamped at Makheloth.
26 Dali a Taat.	26 They left Makheloth and encamped at Tahath.
27 De Taat a Taré.	27 They left Tahath and encamped at Terah.
28 De Taré a Metca.	28 They left Terah and encamped at Mithkah.
29 De Metca a Hesmona.	29 They left Mithkah and encamped at Hashmonah.
30 De Hesmona foram acampar em Moserot.	30 They left Hashmonah and encamped at Moseroth.
31 De Moserot a Benê-Jacã.	31 They left Moseroth and encamped at Bene-Jaakan.
32 Dali a Hor-Guidgad.	32 They left Bene-Jaakan and encamped at Hor-Gidgad.
33 Dali a Jotebata.	33 They left Hor-Gidgad and encamped at Jotbathah.
34 Dali a Abrona.	34 They left Jotbathah and encamped at Abronah.
35 De lá a Asiongaber.	35 They left Abronah and encamped at Ezion-Geber.
36 foram acampar no deserto de Sin, isto é, em Cades.	36 They left Ezion-Geber and encamped in the desert of Zin, that is, at Kadesh.
37 Deixando Cades, acamparam no monte Hor, na extremidade da terra de Edom.	37 They left Kadesh and encamped at Mount Hor, on the borders of the land of Edom.
38 O sacerdote Aarão subiu por ordem do Senhor ao monte Hor, e ali morreu, no quadragésimo ano do êxodo dos israelitas do Egito, no primeiro dia do quinto mês.	38 The priest Aaron went up Mount Hor on Yahweh's orders and died there in the fortieth year of theexodus of the Israelites from Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first day of the month.
39 Aarão tinha cento e vinte e três anos quando expirou no monte Hor.	39 Aaron was a hundred and twenty-three years old when he died on Mount Hor.
40 Foi então que o rei cananeu de Arad, que habitava no Negeb, na terra de Canaã, soube da chegada dos israelitas.	40 The king of Arad, the Canaanite who lived in the Negeb of Canaan, heard of the Israelites' arrival.
41 a Deixando o monte Hor, acamparam em Salmona.	41 They left Mount Hor and encamped at Zalmonah.
42 De Salmona foram acampar em Funon.	42 They left Zalmonah and encamped at Punon.
43 De Funon foram a Obot.	43 They left Punon and encamped at Oboth.
44 De Obot, detiveram-se em Ijé-Abarim, na fronteira de Moab.	44 They left Oboth and encamped in Moabite territory at Iye-Abarim.
45 Dali foram acampar em Dibon-Gad.	45 They left Iyim and encamped at Dibon-Gad.
46 Dali a Almon-Diblataim.	46 They left Dibon-Gad and encamped at Almon-Diblathaim.
47 Dali aos montes Abarim, em frente ao Nebo.	47 They left Almon-Diblathaim and encamped in the Abarim mountains facing Nebo.
48 Partiram dos montes Abarim e foram acampar nas planícies de Moab, junto do Jordão, defronte de Jericó.	48 They left the Abarim mountains and encamped on the Plains of Moab, near the Jordan oppositeJericho.
49 Seu acampamento nas planícies de Moab, perto do Jordão, ia desde Betsimot até Abel-Setim.	49 They encamped near the Jordan between Beth-ha-Jeshimoth and Abel-ha-Shittim, on the Plains ofMoab.
50 O Senhor disse a Moisés, nas planícies de Moab, junto do Jordão, defronte de Jericó:	50 Yahweh spoke to Moses on the Plains of Moab, near the Jordan by Jericho, and said:
51 "Dize aos israelitas: quando tiverdes passado o Jordão e entrado na terra de Canaã,	51 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "When you have crossed the Jordan into Canaan,
52 expulsareis de diante de vós todos os habitantes da terra, destruireis todas as suas pedras esculpidas, todas as suas estátuas fundidas e devastareis todos os seus lugares altos.	52 you wil drive out al the local inhabitants before you. You wil destroy al their painted images, youwil destroy al their metal statues and you wil demolish al their high places.
53 Tomareis posse da terra e habitá-la-eis, porque eu vo-la dou.	53 You wil take possession of the country and settle in it, for I have given you the country as yourproperty.
54 Reparti-la-eis entre vossas famílias por sorte: aos que forem mais numerosos, uma porção maior, e uma menor, aos que forem menos. Cada um possuirá o que lhe couber por sorte. Fareis essa repartição segundo vossas tribos patriarcais.	54 You wil share it out by lot among your clans. To a large clan you wil give a larger heritage, and to asmal er clan you wil give a smal er heritage. Where the lot fal s for each, that wil be his. Your heritage wildepend on the size of your tribe.
55 Se vós, porém, não expulsardes de diante de vós os habitantes da terra, os que ficarem serão para vós como espinhos nos olhos e aguilhões nos flancos, e vos perseguirão na terra onde habitardes.	55 If, however, you do not drive out the local inhabitants before you, the ones you al ow to remain wilbe thorns in your eyes and thistles in your sides and wil harass you in the country where you are living,
56 E tudo o que eu tinha pensado fazer a eles, o farei a vós."	56 and I shal treat you as I intended to treat them." '
