2 Thessalonians 3

1 Final y, brothers, pray for us that the Lord's message may spread quickly, and be received with honouras it was among you;	1 וְעוֹד אַחַי הִתְפַּלְלוּ בַעֲדֵנוּ אֲשֶׁר יָרוּץ דְּבַר יְהוָֹה וְיִכָּבֵד כְּמוֹ גַם־בְּקִרְבְּכֶם
2 and pray that we may be preserved from bigoted and evil people, for not everyone has faith.	2 וַאֲשֶׁר נִנָּצֵל מִן־הָאֲנָשִׁים הַתֹּעִים וְהָרָעִים כִּי לֹא לְכָל־אָדָם הָאֱמוּנָה
3 You can rely on the Lord, who wil give you strength and guard you from the evil One,	3 אֲבָל נֶאֱמָן הוּא הָאָדוֹן אֲשֶׁר יְחַזֵּק אֶתְכֶם וְיִשְׁמָרְכֶם מִן־הָרָע
4 and we, in the Lord, have every confidence in you, that you are doing and wil go on doing al that wetel you.	4 וַאֲנַחְנוּ בְּטוּחִים עֲלֵיכֶם בַּאֲדֹנֵינוּ כִּי־תַעֲשֹוּ וְגַם־תּוֹסִיפוּ לַעֲשׂוֹת אֶת אֲשֶׁר נְצַוֶּה
5 May the Lord turn your hearts towards the love of God and the perseverance of Christ.	5 וְהָאָדוֹן הוּא יְיַשֵּׁר אֶת־לְבַבְכֶם לְאַהֲבַת הָאֱלֹהִים וּלְסַבְלָנוּת הַמָּשִׁיחַ
6 In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we urge you, brothers, to keep away from any of the brothers wholives an undisciplined life, not in accordance with the tradition you received from us.	6 וְהִנְנוּ מְצַוִּים אֶתְכֶם אַחִים בְּשֵׁם אֲדֹנֵינוּ יֵשׁוּעַ הַמָּשִׁיחַ אֲשֶׁר תִּבָּדְלוּ מִכָּל־אָח מְעַקֵּשׁ דְּרָכָיו וְאֵינֶנּוּ מִתְהַלֵּךְ עַל־פִּי הַקַּבָּלָה אֲשֶׁר קִבֵּל מֵאִתָּנוּ
7 You know how you should take us as your model: we were not undisciplined when we were with you,	7 הֲלֹא יְדַעְתֶּם אַף־אַתֶּם אֵיךְ עֲלֵיכֶם לְהִתְהַלֵּךְ כָּמֹנוּ כִּי לֹא־נָהַגְנוּ דֶּרֶךְ מְעֻוָּת בְּתוֹכֲכֶם
8 nor did we ever accept food from anyone without paying for it; no, we worked with unsparing energy,night and day, so as not to be a burden on any of you.	8 גַּם לֹא־אָכַלְנוּ לֶחֶם אִישׁ חִנָּם כִּי בִיגִיעָה וּתְלָאָה לַיְלָה וְיוֹמָם הָיִינוּ עֲמֵלִים לְבִלְתִּי הֱיוֹת לְאִישׁ מִכֶּם לְמַשָּׂא
9 This was not because we had no right to be, but in order to make ourselves a model for you to imitate.	9 לֹא בַעֲבוּר שֶׁאֵין־לָנוּ הָרְשׁוּת לָזֹאת כִּי אִם־לָתֵת אֹתָנוּ לָכֶם לְמוֹפֵת לָלֶכֶת בְּעִקְּבוֹתֵינוּ
10 We urged you when we were with you not to let anyone eat who refused to work.	10 כִּי גַּם־בִּהְיוֹתֵנוּ אֶצְלְכֶם צִוִּינוּ אֶתְכֶם לֵאמֹר מִי שֶׁלֹּא יִרְצֶה לַעֲבֹד גַּם־אָכוֹל לֹא יֹאכֵל
11 Now we hear that there are some of you who are living lives without any discipline, doing no workthemselves but interfering with other people's.	11 כִּי שָׁמַעְנוּ שֶׁיֵּשׁ בָּכֶם אֲנָשִׁים הַמְעַקְּשִׁים אֶת־דַּרְכֵיהֶם וְאֵינָם עֹבְדִים מְאוּמָה וּמְבַלִּים יְמֵיהֶם בַּהֲבָלִים
12 In the Lord Jesus Christ, we urge and cal on people of this kind to go on quietly working and earningthe food that they eat.	12 וַאֲנָשִׁים כָּאֵלֶּה נְצַוֶּה אוֹתָם וּנְבַקֵּשׁ מֵהֶם בַּאֲדֹנֵינוּ יֵשׁוּעַ הַמָּשִׁיחַ לַעֲבֹד בְּנַחַת לְמַעַן יֹאכְלוּ אֶת־לַחְמָם
13 My brothers, never slacken in doing what is right.	13 וְאַתֶּם אֶחָי אַל־תִּלְאוּ בַּעֲשׂוֹת הַטּוֹב
14 If anyone refuses to obey what I have written in this letter, take note of him and have nothing to dowith him, so that he wil be ashamed of himself,	14 וְאִם לֹא־יִשְׁמַע אִישׁ אֶל־דְּבָרֵנוּ בָּאִגֶּרֶת הַזֹּאת אֹתוֹ תִרְשְׁמוּ לָכֶם וְאַל־תִּתְעָרְבוּ עִמּוֹ לְמַעַן יֵבוֹשׁ
15 though you are not to treat him as an enemy, but to correct him as a brother.	15 אַךְ לֹא־כְאֹיֵב תַּחְשְׁבֻהוּ כִּי אִם־תּוֹכִיחֻהוּ כְּאָח
16 May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at al times and in every way. The Lord be with you all.	16 וְהוּא אֲדוֹן הַשָּׁלוֹם הוּא יִתֵּן לָכֶם אֶת־הַשָּׁלוֹם תָּמִיד וּבְכָל־פָּנִים יְהִי הָאָדוֹן עִם־כֻּלְּכֶם
17 This greeting is in my own hand-PAUL. It is the mark of genuineness in every letter; this is my own writing.	17 שְׁאֵלַת הַשָּלוֹם מִיָּדִי אֲנִי פוֹלוֹס וְהִיא הָאוֹת בְּכָל־הָאִגְּרוֹת כֵּן אָנֹכִי כֹתֵב
18 May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.	18 חֶסֶד יֵשׁוּעַ הַמָּשִׁיחַ אֲדֹנֵינוּ עִם־כֻּלְּכֶם
	19 אֲשֶׁר בּוֹ הָלַךְ וַיִּקְרָא גַּם־לָרוּחוֹת אֲשֶׁר בַּמִּשְׁמָר
	20 אֲשֶׁר לְפָנִים לֹא הֶאֱמִינוּ כַּאֲשֶׁר חִכָּה אֱלֹהִים בְּאֹרֶךְ אַפּוֹ בִּימֵי נֹחַ בְּהֵעָשׂוֹת הַתֵּבָה אֲשֶׁר נִמְלְטוּ אֵלֶיהָ מְעַטִּים וְהֵם שְׁמֹנֶה נְפָשׁוֹת בַּמָּיִם
	21 וְזֶה הוּא אוֹת הַטְּבִילָה אֲשֶׁר כָּעֵת תּוֹשִׁיעַ גַּם־אֹתָנוּ לֹא בְהָסִיר טִנּוּף הַבָּשָׂר כִּי אִם־בִּשְׁאָל־לָנוּ מֵאֵת אֱלֹהִים רוּחַ שְׁלֵמָה עַל־יְדֵי הֲקָמַת יֵשׁוּעַ הַמָּשִׁיחַ
	22 אֲשֶׁר הוּא לִימִין אֱלֹהִים אַחֲרֵי אֲשֶׁר עָבַר הַשָּׁמָיְמָה וַיִּכָּנְעוּ לְפָנָיו הַמַּלְאָכִים וְהָרָשֻׁיּוֹת וְהַגְּבוּרוֹת
