Luke 19

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 He entered Jericho and was going through the town	1 Ezután bement Jerikóba és áthaladt rajta.
2 and suddenly a man whose name was Zacchaeus made his appearance; he was one of the senior taxcol ectors and a wealthy man.	2 Ekkor íme, egy Zakeus nevű férfi, aki a vámosok feje volt és gazdag,
3 He kept trying to see which Jesus was, but he was too short and could not see him for the crowd;	3 szerette volna látni, hogy ki az a Jézus, de nem tudta a tömeg miatt, mert alacsony termetű volt.
4 so he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree to catch a glimpse of Jesus who was to pass that way.	4 Előre futott tehát, felmászott egy vadfügefára, hogy lássa őt, mert arra kellett elmennie.
5 When Jesus reached the spot he looked up and spoke to him, 'Zacchaeus, come down. Hurry,because I am to stay at your house today.'	5 Amikor Jézus arra a helyre ért, fölnézett, meglátta őt, és ezt mondta neki: »Zakeus! Jöjj le hamar, mert ma a te házadban kell megszállnom.«
6 And he hurried down and welcomed him joyful y.	6 Erre az sietve lemászott, és örömmel befogadta.
7 They al complained when they saw what was happening. 'He has gone to stay at a sinner's house,'they said.	7 Akik ezt látták, mindannyian zúgolódva mondták: »Bűnös embernél száll meg!«
8 But Zacchaeus stood his ground and said to the Lord, 'Look, sir, I am going to give half my property tothe poor, and if I have cheated anybody I wil pay him back four times the amount.'	8 Zakeus azonban odaállt, és azt mondta az Úrnak: »Uram, íme, vagyonom felét a szegényeknek adom, és ha valakit valamiben megcsaltam, négyannyit adok helyette.«
9 And Jesus said to him, 'Today salvation has come to this house, because this man too is a son ofAbraham;	9 Jézus azt mondta neki: »Ma üdvösség köszöntött erre a házra, hiszen ő is Ábrahám fia.
10 for the Son of man has come to seek out and save what was lost.'	10 Az Emberfia ugyanis azért jött, hogy megkeresse és megmentse, ami elveszett.«
11 While the people were listening to this he went on to tel a parable, because he was near Jerusalemand they thought that the kingdom of God was going to show itself then and there.	11 Azoknak pedig, akik mindezt hallották, mondott egy példabeszédet is, mert közel volt már Jeruzsálemhez, és azt hitték, hogy hamarosan megjelenik az Isten országa.
12 Accordingly he said, 'A man of noble birth went to a distant country to be appointed king and thenreturn.	12 Így szólt hozzájuk: »Egy nemes ember messze földre indult, hogy királyi méltóságot szerezzen magának, és aztán visszatérjen.
13 He summoned ten of his servants and gave them ten pounds, tel ing them, "Trade with these, until Iget back."	13 Hívatta tíz szolgáját, átadott nekik tíz mínát, s így szólt hozzájuk: ‘Gazdálkodjatok, amíg vissza nem jövök!’
14 But his compatriots detested him and sent a delegation to fol ow him with this message, "We do notwant this man to be our king."	14 Alattvalói azonban gyűlölték őt, és követséget küldtek utána ezzel az üzenettel: ‘Nem akarjuk, hogy ez uralkodjék rajtunk!’
15 'Now it happened that on his return, having received his appointment as king, he sent for thoseservants to whom he had given the money, to find out what profit each had made by trading.	15 Ő azonban, amikor megszerezte a királyi méltóságot és visszatért, maga elé hívatta a szolgákat, akiknek a pénzt adta, hogy megtudja, ki mennyit szerzett vele.
16 The first came in, "Sir," he said, "your one pound has brought in ten."	16 Jött az első, és azt mondta: ‘Uram, a mínád tíz mínát hozott.’
17 He replied, "Wel done, my good servant! Since you have proved yourself trustworthy in a very smalthing, you shal have the government of ten cities."	17 Erre azt mondta neki: ‘Jól van, jó szolgám, mivel a kevésben hű voltál, hatalmad lesz tíz város felett.’
18 Then came the second, "Sir," he said, "your one pound has made five."	18 Jött a második is, és így szólt: ‘Uram, a mínád öt mínát nyert.’
19 To this one also he said, "And you shal be in charge of five cities."	19 Ennek is azt mondta: ‘Uralkodj öt város felett.’
20 Next came the other, "Sir," he said, "here is your pound. I put it away safely wrapped up in a cloth	20 Aztán jött a következő, és így szólt: ‘Uram, itt van a mínád! Eltettem a kendőmben,
21 because I was afraid of you; for you are an exacting man: you gather in what you have not laid outand reap what you have not sown."	21 mert féltem tőled, mivel szigorú ember vagy: elveszed, amit le nem tettél, és learatod, amit nem vetettél.’
22 He said to him, "You wicked servant! Out of your own mouth I condemn you. So you knew that I wasan exacting man, gathering in what I have not laid out and reaping what I have not sown?	22 Azt mondta neki: ‘A magad szájából ítéllek meg téged, gonosz szolga! Tudtad, hogy szigorú ember vagyok: elveszem, amit le nem tettem, és learatom, amit nem vetettem.
23 Then why did you not put my money in the bank? On my return I could have drawn it out withinterest."	23 Miért nem tetted hát pénzemet a pénzváltóasztalra, hogy amikor visszatérek, kamatostul kapjam azt vissza?’
24 And he said to those standing by, "Take the pound from him and give it to the man who has tenpounds."	24 Majd így szólt az ott állókhoz: ‘Vegyétek el tőle a mínát, és adjátok annak, akinek tíz mínája van.’
25 And they said to him, "But, sir, he has ten pounds . . ."	25 Azok így szóltak: ‘Uram, annak már tíz mínája van.’
26 "I tel you, to everyone who has wil be given more; but anyone who has not wil be deprived even ofwhat he has.	26 Mondom nektek: ‘Mindannak, akinek van, még adnak, attól meg, akinek nincs, még azt is elveszik, amije van.
27 "As for my enemies who did not want me for their king, bring them here and execute them in mypresence." '	27 Ellenségeimet pedig, akik nem akarták, hogy uralkodjam felettük, hozzátok ide, és öljétek meg színem előtt!’«
28 When he had said this he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.	28 Miután ezeket mondta, haladt tovább Jeruzsálem felé.
29 Now it happened that when he was near Bethphage and Bethany, close by the Mount of Olives as itis cal ed, he sent two of the disciples, saying,	29 Amikor Betfagéhez és Betániához közeledett, ahhoz a hegyhez, amelyet Olajfák hegyének hívnak, elküldte két tanítványát
30 'Go to the vil age opposite, and as you enter it you wil find a tethered colt that no one has ever yetridden. Untie it and bring it here.	30 ezekkel a szavakkal: »Menjetek a szemközti faluba. Amikor bementek, találtok ott megkötve egy szamárcsikót, amelyen még nem ült ember. Oldjátok el és vezessétek ide.
31 If anyone asks you, "Why are you untying it?" you are to say this, "The Master needs it." '	31 Ha pedig valaki megkérdezi tőletek: ‘Miért oldjátok el?’ – mondjátok neki: ‘Az Úrnak szüksége van rá.’«
32 The messengers went off and found everything just as he had told them.	32 A küldöttek elmentek, és mindent úgy találtak, amint megmondta nekik.
33 As they were untying the colt, its owners said, 'Why are you untying it?'	33 Amikor eloldották a szamárcsikót, a gazdái megkérdezték tőlük: »Miért oldjátok el a szamárcsikót?«
34 and they answered, 'The Master needs it.'	34 Ők azt felelték: »Az Úrnak szüksége van rá.«
35 So they took the colt to Jesus and, throwing their cloaks on its back, they lifted Jesus on to it.	35 És elvitték Jézushoz. A szamárcsikóra ráterítették ruháikat, aztán fölültették rá Jézust.
36 As he moved off, they spread their cloaks in the road,	36 Amikor pedig elindult, az útra terítették ruháikat.
37 and now, as he was approaching the downward slope of the Mount of Olives, the whole group ofdisciples joyful y began to praise God at the top of their voices for all the miracles they had seen.	37 Mikor már közel volt az Olajfák hegyének lejtőjéhez, a tanítványok egész csoportja elkezdte örvendezve, hangosan dicsérni Istent a sok csodáért, amelyet láttak.
38 They cried out: Blessed is he who is coming as King in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven andglory in the highest heavens!	38 Ezt mondták: »Áldott a király, aki az Úr nevében jön! Békesség a mennyben és dicsőség a magasságban!«
39 Some Pharisees in the crowd said to him, 'Master, reprove your disciples,'	39 A tömegből néhány farizeus azt mondta neki: »Mester, intsd meg tanítványaidat!«
40 but he answered, 'I tell you, if these keep silence, the stones wil cry out.'	40 Ő azonban ezt felelte nekik: »Mondom nektek: ha ezek elhallgatnak, a kövek fognak kiáltani!«
41 As he drew near and came in sight of the city he shed tears over it	41 Mikor közeledett és meglátta a várost, megsiratta, s így szólt:
42 and said, 'If you too had only recognised on this day the way to peace! But in fact it is hidden fromyour eyes!	42 »Bárcsak te is felismernéd ezen a napon, ami békességedre szolgál! Most azonban el van rejtve a szemed elől.
43 Yes, a time is coming when your enemies wil raise fortifications all round you, when they wil encircleyou and hem you in on every side;	43 Mert jönnek napok, amikor ellenségeid körülvesznek sáncokkal, bekerítenek és szorongatnak mindenfelől.
44 they wil dash you and the children inside your wal s to the ground; they wil leave not one stonestanding on another within you, because you did not recognise the moment of your visitation.'	44 Földre tipornak téged és gyermekeidet, akik benned laknak; nem hagynak benned követ kövön, mert nem ismerted fel látogatásod idejét.«
45 Then he went into the Temple and began driving out those who were busy trading, saying to them,	45 Azután bement a templomba, és kezdte kiűzni az árusokat.
46 'According to scripture, my house shal be a house of prayer but you have turned it into a bandits'den.'	46 Ezt mondta nekik: »Írva van: Az én házam az imádság háza, ti pedig rablók barlangjává tettétek« .
47 He taught in the Temple every day. The chief priests and the scribes, in company with the leadingcitizens, tried to do away with him,	47 Mindennap tanított a templomban. A főpapok, az írástudók és a nép vezetői az életére törtek,
48 but they could not find a way to carry this out because the whole people hung on his words.	48 de nem tudták módját ejteni, mert az egész nép ajkain csüngve hallgatta.
