NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 Bildad of Shuah spoke next. He said:	1 Allora Bildad il suchita prese la parola e disse:
2 What prevents you others from saying something? Think -- for it is our turn to speak!	2 "Fino a quando andrai a caccia di parole? Rifletti e poi parleremo!
3 Why do you regard us as animals, considering us no more than brutes?	3 Perché siamo considerati come bestie e passiamo per degli idioti ai tuoi occhi?
4 Tear yourself to pieces if you will, but the world, for al your rage, wil not turn to desert, the rocks wilnot shift from their places.	4 Tu che ti rodi nella tua rabbia, forse che a causa tua la terra sarà abbandonata, o che la roccia si staccherà dal suo posto?
5 The light of the wicked must certainly be put out, the lamp that gives him light cease to shine.	5 Sì, la luce del malvagio si spegne e la fiamma del suo focolare non brilla più.
6 In his tent the light is dimmed, the lamp that shone on him is snuffed.	6 Si oscura la luce nella sua tenda e la lucerna si estingue sopra di lui.
7 His vigorous stride loses its power, his own designs falter.	7 I suoi passi vigorosi si accorciano, i suoi progetti lo fanno stramazzare.
8 For into the net his own feet carry him, he walks into the snares.	8 Infatti, con i suoi piedi incappa nella rete e cammina sopra un tranello.
9 A spring grips him by the heel, a trap snaps shut, and he is caught.	9 Un laccio lo afferra per il tallone, un nodo lo stringe intorno.
10 Hidden in the ground is a snare to catch him, pitfal s lie across his path.	10 Gli è nascosta per terra una fune e una trappola sul sentiero.
11 Terrors threaten him from al sides following him step by step.	11 Da ogni parte lo atterriscono gli spaventi e gli si mettono alle calcagna.
12 Hunger becomes his companion, by his side Disaster stands.	12 La sua ricchezza si muta in fame e la sfortuna gli si mette a fianco.
13 Disease devours his skin, Death's First-Born gnaws his limbs.	13 La sua pelle è corrosa dalla malattia; il primogenito della Morte gli consuma le membra.
14 He wil be torn from the shelter of his tent, and you wil drag him to the King of Terrors.	14 E' strappato dalla sua tenda dove si sentiva sicuro, per essere trascinato dal Re dei terrori.
15 You can live in the tent, since it is no longer his, and brimstone wil be scattered on his sheepfold.	15 Il fuoco è posto nella sua tenda; nella sua dimora si sparge lo zolfo.
16 Below, his roots dry out and his branches are blasted above.	16 In basso le sue radici si seccheranno; sopra saranno tagliati i suoi rami.
17 His memory fades from the land, his name is forgotten in the countryside.	17 Il suo ricordo è sparito dalla terra e il suo nome non si udrà più nella contrada.
18 Driven from the light into the darkness, he is banished from the world,	18 Lo cacceranno dalla luce alle tenebre e lo bandiranno dall'universo.
19 without issue or posterity among his own people or a single survivor where he used to live.	19 Non avrà né figli né discendenza tra il suo popolo; non vi sarà superstite nella sua dimora.
20 His end appals the west and fills the east with terror.	20 Della sua fine stupirà l'Occidente e l'Oriente sarà preso dal brivido.
21 Such indeed is the fate of the places where wickedness dwel s -- the home of everyone who knowsnot God.	21 Ecco qual è la sorte dell'empio; tale è il destino di chi misconosce Dio".
