NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 Bildad of Shuah spoke next. He said:	1 És felelt a súhi Bildád, és ezt mondta:
2 What prevents you others from saying something? Think -- for it is our turn to speak!	2 »Mikor értek a szóbeszéd végére? Előbb térjetek észre, s úgy beszéljünk!
3 Why do you regard us as animals, considering us no more than brutes?	3 Miért tartsanak minket állatoknak, és miért legyünk tisztátalanok a szemetekben?
4 Tear yourself to pieces if you will, but the world, for al your rage, wil not turn to desert, the rocks wilnot shift from their places.	4 Te marcangolod magadat dühödben; kedvedért talán néptelenné váljék a föld, s a sziklák elmozduljanak helyükből?
5 The light of the wicked must certainly be put out, the lamp that gives him light cease to shine.	5 Nemde kialszik a gonosznak világossága, és nem fénylik tüzének lángja.
6 In his tent the light is dimmed, the lamp that shone on him is snuffed.	6 Sátrában a fény elsötétül, s elalszik a mécses felette.
7 His vigorous stride loses its power, his own designs falter.	7 Erőteljes lépései elernyednek, és fondorlata földre teríti;
8 For into the net his own feet carry him, he walks into the snares.	8 hálóba akad lábával, verem fonadéka fölött járkál;
9 A spring grips him by the heel, a trap snaps shut, and he is caught.	9 lábát csapda fogja és hurok szorítja;
10 Hidden in the ground is a snare to catch him, pitfal s lie across his path.	10 tőr van elrejtve számára a földön, és kelepce vár rá az ösvényen;
11 Terrors threaten him from al sides following him step by step.	11 mindenfelől rémség ijeszti és fonja be lábát.
12 Hunger becomes his companion, by his side Disaster stands.	12 Erejét éhség fogyasztja, és bordáit koplalás emészti.
13 Disease devours his skin, Death's First-Born gnaws his limbs.	13 Elsorvasztja bőre szépségét s elemészti tagjait a halál elsőszülöttje;
14 He wil be torn from the shelter of his tent, and you wil drag him to the King of Terrors.	14 kiragadja őt sátrából, amelyben bizakodott, és elküldi az iszonyat királyához.
15 You can live in the tent, since it is no longer his, and brimstone wil be scattered on his sheepfold.	15 Olyan sátorban lakik, amely már nincs is, és ként szórnak lakóhelye fölé.
16 Below, his roots dry out and his branches are blasted above.	16 Alul elszáradnak a gyökerei, felül pedig eltapossák termését.
17 His memory fades from the land, his name is forgotten in the countryside.	17 Elvész emléke a föld színéről, nem említik nevét az utcákon;
18 Driven from the light into the darkness, he is banished from the world,	18 a világosságból a sötétségbe taszítják, és elüldözik a föld kerekségéről.
19 without issue or posterity among his own people or a single survivor where he used to live.	19 Nem marad népe közt sem fia, sem sarja, és szállásán nincsenek hátrahagyottak.
20 His end appals the west and fills the east with terror.	20 Ítélete napjától megrémülnek a nyugatiak, s iszonyat szállja meg a kelet lakóit.
21 Such indeed is the fate of the places where wickedness dwel s -- the home of everyone who knowsnot God.	21 Így járnak a bűnösök hajlékai, s ilyen a lakóhelye annak, aki Istennel nem törődik.«
