1 For the liturgy, David and the religious officials selected the sons of Asaph, of Heman and ofJeduthun, who were to prophesy to the accompaniment of harps, lyres and cymbals. The list of ministrants forthis service was as follows:	1 - Adunque Davide e i capi dell'armata misero a parte per il servizio i figli di Asaf, di Eman e di Iditun, affinchè cantassero profezie con le cetre, coi salteri e coi cembali e servissero secondo il loro numero nell'ufficio loro assegnato.
2 Of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, Asharelah; the sons of Asaph were under thedirection of Asaph who prophesied at the king's direction.	2 Dei figli di Asaf: Zaccur, Josef, Natania, Asarela, figliuoli di Asaf, sotto la direzione di Asaf che cantava profezie accanto al re.
3 Of Jeduthun there were the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Hashabiah and Mattithiah,six, under the direction of their father Jeduthun who, with the harp, prophesied when thanks and praise were tobe given to Yahweh.	3 Quanto a Iditun, i figliuoli di Iditun erano questi sei: Godolia, Sori, Jeseia, [Semei], Asabia, Matatia, sotto la direzione del padre loro Iditun, il quale cantava profezie colla cetra alla testa di coloro che esaltavano e lodavano il Signore.
4 Of Heman there were the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, Jerimoth, Hananiah,Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth.	4 Quanto a Eman, i figliuoli di Eman erano: Bocciau, Mataniau, Oziel, Subuel, Jerimot, Anania, Anani, Eliata, Geddelti, Romemtiezer, Jesbacassa, Melloti, Otir, Maaziot.
5 Al these were sons of Heman, the king's seer; at God's word they blew the horn. God gave Hemanfourteen sons and three daughters.	5 Tutti costoro erano figli di Eman, veggente del re, per rivelare le parole di Dio e per esaltare la sua potenza. Il Signore diede a Eman quattordici figli e tre figlie.
6 Under the king's direction al these had the duty of singing to the accompaniment of cymbal, lyre andharp for the liturgy of the house of God under the direction of their fathers. Asaph, Jeduthun and Heman,	6 Tutti questi stavano sotto la direzione del loro padre, cioè Asaf, Iditun e Eman, per cantare nel tempio del Signore ed erano assegnati chi a sonare i cembali, chi i salteri, chi le cetre per il servizio della casa di Dio accanto al re.
7 trained in the songs of Yahweh, with their brothers, numbered two hundred and eighty-eight, alexpert.	7 Essi erano in numero di duecentoottantotto, compresi i loro fratelli che insegnavano i cantici del Signore ed eran tutti maestri.
8 Junior and senior, master and pupil alike, they drew lots for their term of duty.	8 Essi tirarono a sorte secondo i loro ordini senza riguardo a grandi o piccoli, a sapienti o ignoranti.
9 The first to whom the lot fel was the Asaphite, Joseph. The second was Gedaliah, who with his sonsand brothers made twelve.	9 La prima sorte toccò a Josef, che apparteneva alla famiglia di Asaf. La seconda toccò a Godolia e ai suoi figli e fratelli, in numero di dodici.
10 The third was Zaccur, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	10 La terza toccò a Zaccur e ai suoi figli e fratelli, in numero di dodici.
11 The fourth was Izri, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	11 La quarta a Isari e ai suoi figli e fratelli, in numero di dodici.
12 The fifth was Nethaniah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	12 La quinta a Natania e a' suoi figli e fratelli, in numero di dodici.
13 The sixth was Bukkiah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	13 La sesta a Bocciau e ai suoi figli e fratelli, in numero di dodici.
14 The seventh was Jesharelah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	14 La settima a Isreela e ai suoi figli e fratelli, in numero di dodici.
15 The eighth was Jeshaiah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	15 L'ottava a Jesaia e ai figli e ai fratelli suoi, in numero di dodici.
16 The ninth was Mattaniah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	16 La nona a Matania e ai suoi figli e fratelli, in numero di dodici.
17 The tenth was Shimei, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	17 La decima a Semeia e a' suoi figli e fratelli, in numero di dodici.
18 The eleventh was Azarel, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	18 L'undecima ad Azareel e ai suoi figli e fratelli, in numero di dodici.
19 The twelfth was Hashabiah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	19 La dodicesima ad Asabia e ai figli e fratelli suoi, in numero di dodici.
20 The thirteenth was Shubael, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	20 La tredicesima a Subael e ai figli e fratelli suoi, in numero di dodici.
21 The fourteenth was Mattithiah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	21 La decimaquarta a Matatia e ai suoi figli e fratelli, in numero di dodici.
22 The fifteenth was Jeremoth, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	22 La quindicesima a Jerimot e ai suoi figli e fratelli, in numero di dodici.
23 The sixteenth was Hananiah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	23 La sedicesima ad Anania e ai suoi figli e fratelli, in numero di dodici.
24 The seventeenth was Joshbekashah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	24 La decimasettima a Jesbacassa e ai suoi figli e fratelli, in numero di dodici.
