1 For the liturgy, David and the religious officials selected the sons of Asaph, of Heman and ofJeduthun, who were to prophesy to the accompaniment of harps, lyres and cymbals. The list of ministrants forthis service was as follows:	1 Quindi Davide, insieme con i comandanti dell’esercito, separò per il servizio i figli di Asaf, di Eman e di Idutùn, che profetavano con cetre, arpe e cimbali. Ed ecco il numero di questi uomini, incaricati di tale attività.
2 Of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, Asharelah; the sons of Asaph were under thedirection of Asaph who prophesied at the king's direction.	2 Per i figli di Asaf: Zaccur, Giuseppe, Netania, Asarela; i figli di Asaf erano sotto la direzione di Asaf, che eseguiva la musica secondo le istruzioni del re.
3 Of Jeduthun there were the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Hashabiah and Mattithiah,six, under the direction of their father Jeduthun who, with the harp, prophesied when thanks and praise were tobe given to Yahweh.	3 Per Iedutùn, i figli di Iedutùn: Godolia, Serì, Isaia, Simei, Casabia, Mattitia: sei, sotto la direzione del loro padre Iedutùn, che cantava sulla cetra ed eseguiva musica per celebrare e lodare il Signore.
4 Of Heman there were the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, Jerimoth, Hananiah,Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth.	4 Per Eman, i figli di Eman: Bukkia, Mattania, Uzzièl, Sebuèl, Ierimòt, Anania, Anàni, Eliata, Ghiddalti, Romàmti-Ezer, Iosbekasa, Malloti, Otir, Macaziòt.
5 Al these were sons of Heman, the king's seer; at God's word they blew the horn. God gave Hemanfourteen sons and three daughters.	5 Tutti costoro erano figli di Eman, veggente del re, secondo la promessa di Dio di esaltare la sua potenza. Dio infatti concesse a Eman quattordici figli e tre figlie.
6 Under the king's direction al these had the duty of singing to the accompaniment of cymbal, lyre andharp for the liturgy of the house of God under the direction of their fathers. Asaph, Jeduthun and Heman,	6 Tutti costoro, sotto la direzione del loro padre, cantavano nel tempio del Signore con cimbali, arpe e cetre, per il servizio del tempio di Dio, agli ordini del re.
7 trained in the songs of Yahweh, with their brothers, numbered two hundred and eighty-eight, alexpert.	7 Il numero di costoro, insieme con i fratelli, esperti nel canto del Signore, tutti maestri, era di duecentoottantotto.
8 Junior and senior, master and pupil alike, they drew lots for their term of duty.	8 Per i loro turni di servizio furono sorteggiati i piccoli come i grandi, i maestri come i discepoli.
9 The first to whom the lot fel was the Asaphite, Joseph. The second was Gedaliah, who with his sonsand brothers made twelve.	9 La prima sorte toccò, per Asaf, a Giuseppe; secondo fu Godolia, con i fratelli e i figli: dodici;
10 The third was Zaccur, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	10 terzo Zaccur, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
11 The fourth was Izri, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	11 quarto Isrì, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
12 The fifth was Nethaniah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	12 quinto Netania, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
13 The sixth was Bukkiah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	13 sesto Bukkia, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
14 The seventh was Jesharelah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	14 settimo Iesarela, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
15 The eighth was Jeshaiah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	15 ottavo Isaia, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
16 The ninth was Mattaniah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	16 nono Mattania, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
17 The tenth was Shimei, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	17 decimo Simei, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
18 The eleventh was Azarel, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	18 undicesimo Azarèl, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
19 The twelfth was Hashabiah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	19 dodicesimo Casabia, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
20 The thirteenth was Shubael, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	20 tredicesimo Subaèl, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
21 The fourteenth was Mattithiah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	21 quattordicesimo Mattitia, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
22 The fifteenth was Jeremoth, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	22 quindicesimo Ieremòt, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
23 The sixteenth was Hananiah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	23 sedicesimo Anania, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
24 The seventeenth was Joshbekashah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	24 diciassettesimo Iosbekasa, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
25 The eighteenth was Hanani, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	25 diciottesimo Anàni, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
26 The nineteenth was Mal othi, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	26 diciannovesimo Malloti, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
27 The twentieth was Eliathah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	27 ventesimo Eliata, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
28 The twenty-first was Hothir, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	28 ventunesimo Otir, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
29 The twenty-second was Giddalti, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	29 ventiduesimo Ghiddalti, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
30 The twenty-third was Mahazioth, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	30 ventitreesimo Macaziòt, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
31 The twenty-fourth was Romamti-Ezer, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	31 ventiquattresimo Romàmti-Ezer, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici.
