1 For the liturgy, David and the religious officials selected the sons of Asaph, of Heman and ofJeduthun, who were to prophesy to the accompaniment of harps, lyres and cymbals. The list of ministrants forthis service was as follows:	1 David e i capi dell'esercito misero a parte pel ministero i figli di Asaf, di Heman e di Iditun, perchè cantassero sulle cetre, sui salteri e sui cembali, servendo secondo il loro numero nell'ufficio loro assegnato.
2 Of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, Asharelah; the sons of Asaph were under thedirection of Asaph who prophesied at the king's direction.	2 Dei figli d'Asaf: Zaccur, Giuseppe, Natania, Asarela, figli di Asaf, sotto la direzione di Asaf che cantava secondo (le istruzioni) del re.
3 Of Jeduthun there were the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Hashabiah and Mattithiah,six, under the direction of their father Jeduthun who, with the harp, prophesied when thanks and praise were tobe given to Yahweh.	3 D'Iditun: i figli d'Iditun: Godolia, Sori, Ieseia, Asabia, Matatia: sei, sotto la direzione del loro padre Iditun che cantava sulla cetra alla testa di coloro che celebravano e lodavano il Signore.
4 Of Heman there were the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, Jerimoth, Hananiah,Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth.	4 D'Heman: i figli d'Heman: Bocciau, Mataniau, Oziel, Subuel, Ierimot, Anania, Anani, Eliata, Gedelti, Romemtiezer, Iesbacassa, Melloti, Otir, Mahaziot.
5 Al these were sons of Heman, the king's seer; at God's word they blew the horn. God gave Hemanfourteen sons and three daughters.	5 Tutti questi furono figli di Heman veggente di David nelle parole di Dio per esaltare la sua potenza. Dio diede a Heman quattordici figli e tre figlie.
6 Under the king's direction al these had the duty of singing to the accompaniment of cymbal, lyre andharp for the liturgy of the house of God under the direction of their fathers.
