NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 For the liturgy, David and the religious officials selected the sons of Asaph, of Heman and ofJeduthun, who were to prophesy to the accompaniment of harps, lyres and cymbals. The list of ministrants forthis service was as follows:	1 Davide, insieme ai capi dell'esercito, separò per il servizio i figli di Asaf, di Eman e di Idutun, che eseguivano la musica sacra con le cetre, le arpe e con i cembali. Il numero degli uomini che esercitavano questo servizio era il seguente:
2 Of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, Asharelah; the sons of Asaph were under thedirection of Asaph who prophesied at the king's direction.	2 Per i figli di Asaf: Zaccur, Giuseppe, Netania, Asareela: i figli di Asaf erano sotto la direzione di Asaf, che eseguiva la musica sacra secondo le istruzioni del re.
3 Of Jeduthun there were the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Hashabiah and Mattithiah,six, under the direction of their father Jeduthun who, with the harp, prophesied when thanks and praise were tobe given to Yahweh.	3 Per Idutun i figli di Idutun: Ghedalia, Seri, Isaia, Simei, Casabià, Mattatia: sei sotto la direzione del loro padre Idutun, che profetava al suono delle cetre per celebrare e lodare il Signore.
4 Of Heman there were the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, Jerimoth, Hananiah,Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth.	4 Per Eman i figli di Eman: Bukkia, Mattania, Uzzièl, Sebuel, Ierimot, Anania, Anani, Eliata, Ghiddalti, Romamti-E'zer, Iosbekasa, Malloti, Cotir, Macaziot.
5 Al these were sons of Heman, the king's seer; at God's word they blew the horn. God gave Hemanfourteen sons and three daughters.	5 Tutti questi erano figli di Eman, veggente del re, grazie alla promessa divina di esaltare la sua potenza. Dio diede a Eman quattordici figli e tre figlie.
6 Under the king's direction al these had the duty of singing to the accompaniment of cymbal, lyre andharp for the liturgy of the house of God under the direction of their fathers. Asaph, Jeduthun and Heman,	6 Tutti costoro erano sotto la direzione del loro padre per cantare nel tempio del Signore con cembali, arpe e cetre, per il servizio del tempio di Dio, sotto gli ordini del re.
7 trained in the songs of Yahweh, with their brothers, numbered two hundred and eighty-eight, alexpert.	7 Il loro numero, compresi i loro fratelli esperti nel canto del Signore, tutti veramente capaci, era di duecentottantotto.
8 Junior and senior, master and pupil alike, they drew lots for their term of duty.	8 Per i turni di servizio furono sorteggiati i piccoli come i grandi, i maestri come i discepoli.
9 The first to whom the lot fel was the Asaphite, Joseph. The second was Gedaliah, who with his sonsand brothers made twelve.	9 La prima sorte toccò a Giuseppe, con i fratelli e i figli: dodici. La seconda toccò a Ghedalia, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
10 The third was Zaccur, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	10 la terza a Zaccur, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
11 The fourth was Izri, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	11 la quarta a Isri, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
12 The fifth was Nethaniah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	12 la quinta a Natania, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
13 The sixth was Bukkiah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	13 la sesta a Bukkia, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
14 The seventh was Jesharelah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	14 la settima a Iesareela, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
15 The eighth was Jeshaiah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	15 l'ottava a Isaia, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
16 The ninth was Mattaniah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	16 la nona a Mattania, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
17 The tenth was Shimei, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	17 la decima a Simei, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
18 The eleventh was Azarel, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	18 l'undicesima ad Azarel, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
19 The twelfth was Hashabiah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	19 la dodicesima a Casabià, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
20 The thirteenth was Shubael, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	20 la tredicesima a Subaèl, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
21 The fourteenth was Mattithiah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	21 la quattordicesima a Mattatia, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
22 The fifteenth was Jeremoth, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	22 la quindicesima a Ierimot, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
23 The sixteenth was Hananiah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	23 la sedicesima ad Anania, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
24 The seventeenth was Joshbekashah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	24 la diciassettesima a Iosbekasa, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
25 The eighteenth was Hanani, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	25 la diciottesima ad Anani, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
26 The nineteenth was Mal othi, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	26 la diciannovesima a Malloti, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
27 The twentieth was Eliathah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	27 la ventesima a Eliata, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
28 The twenty-first was Hothir, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	28 la ventunesima a Cotir, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
29 The twenty-second was Giddalti, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	29 la ventiduesima a Ghiddalti, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
30 The twenty-third was Mahazioth, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	30 la ventitreesima a Macaziot, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
31 The twenty-fourth was Romamti-Ezer, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	31 la ventiquattresima a Romamti-E'zer, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici.
