1 For the liturgy, David and the religious officials selected the sons of Asaph, of Heman and ofJeduthun, who were to prophesy to the accompaniment of harps, lyres and cymbals. The list of ministrants forthis service was as follows:	1 ויבדל דויד ושרי הצבא לעבדה לבני אסף והימן וידותון הנביאים בכנרות בנבלים ובמצלתים ויהי מספרם אנשי מלאכה לעבדתם
2 Of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, Asharelah; the sons of Asaph were under thedirection of Asaph who prophesied at the king's direction.	2 לבני אסף זכור ויוסף ונתניה ואשראלה בני אסף על יד אסף הנבא על ידי המלך
3 Of Jeduthun there were the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Hashabiah and Mattithiah,six, under the direction of their father Jeduthun who, with the harp, prophesied when thanks and praise were tobe given to Yahweh.	3 לידותון בני ידותון גדליהו וצרי וישעיהו חשביהו ומתתיהו ששה על ידי אביהם ידותון בכנור הנבא על הדות והלל ליהוה
4 Of Heman there were the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, Jerimoth, Hananiah,Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth.	4 להימן בני הימן בקיהו מתניהו עזיאל שבואל וירימות חנניה חנני אליאתה גדלתי ורממתי עזר ישבקשה מלותי הותיר מחזיאות
5 Al these were sons of Heman, the king's seer; at God's word they blew the horn. God gave Hemanfourteen sons and three daughters.	5 כל אלה בנים להימן חזה המלך בדברי האלהים להרים קרן ויתן האלהים להימן בנים ארבעה עשר ובנות שלוש
6 Under the king's direction al these had the duty of singing to the accompaniment of cymbal, lyre andharp for the liturgy of the house of God under the direction of their fathers. Asaph, Jeduthun and Heman,	6 כל אלה על ידי אביהם בשיר בית יהוה במצלתים נבלים וכנרות לעבדת בית האלהים על ידי המלך אסף וידותון והימן
7 trained in the songs of Yahweh, with their brothers, numbered two hundred and eighty-eight, alexpert.	7 ויהי מספרם עם אחיהם מלמדי שיר ליהוה כל המבין מאתים שמונים ושמונה
8 Junior and senior, master and pupil alike, they drew lots for their term of duty.	8 ויפילו גורלות משמרת לעמת כקטן כגדול מבין עם תלמיד
9 The first to whom the lot fel was the Asaphite, Joseph. The second was Gedaliah, who with his sonsand brothers made twelve.	9 ויצא הגורל הראשון לאסף ליוסף גדליהו השני הוא ואחיו ובניו שנים עשר
10 The third was Zaccur, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	10 השלשי זכור בניו ואחיו שנים עשר
11 The fourth was Izri, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	11 הרביעי ליצרי בניו ואחיו שנים עשר
12 The fifth was Nethaniah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	12 החמישי נתניהו בניו ואחיו שנים עשר
13 The sixth was Bukkiah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	13 הששי בקיהו בניו ואחיו שנים עשר
14 The seventh was Jesharelah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	14 השבעי ישראלה בניו ואחיו שנים עשר
15 The eighth was Jeshaiah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	15 השמיני ישעיהו בניו ואחיו שנים עשר
16 The ninth was Mattaniah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	16 התשיעי מתניהו בניו ואחיו שנים עשר
17 The tenth was Shimei, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	17 העשירי שמעי בניו ואחיו שנים עשר
18 The eleventh was Azarel, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	18 עשתי עשר עזראל בניו ואחיו שנים עשר
19 The twelfth was Hashabiah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	19 השנים עשר לחשביה בניו ואחיו שנים עשר
20 The thirteenth was Shubael, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	20 לשלשה עשר שובאל בניו ואחיו שנים עשר
21 The fourteenth was Mattithiah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	21 לארבעה עשר מתתיהו בניו ואחיו שנים עשר
22 The fifteenth was Jeremoth, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	22 לחמשה עשר לירמות בניו ואחיו שנים עשר
23 The sixteenth was Hananiah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	23 לששה עשר לחנניהו בניו ואחיו שנים עשר
24 The seventeenth was Joshbekashah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	24 לשבעה עשר לישבקשה בניו ואחיו שנים עשר
25 The eighteenth was Hanani, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	25 לשמונה עשר לחנני בניו ואחיו שנים עשר
26 The nineteenth was Mal othi, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	26 לתשעה עשר למלותי בניו ואחיו שנים עשר
27 The twentieth was Eliathah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	27 לעשרים לאליתה בניו ואחיו שנים עשר
28 The twenty-first was Hothir, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	28 לאחד ועשרים להותיר בניו ואחיו שנים עשר
29 The twenty-second was Giddalti, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	29 לשנים ועשרים לגדלתי בניו ואחיו שנים עשר
30 The twenty-third was Mahazioth, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	30 לשלשה ועשרים למחזיאות בניו ואחיו שנים עשר
