NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 For the liturgy, David and the religious officials selected the sons of Asaph, of Heman and ofJeduthun, who were to prophesy to the accompaniment of harps, lyres and cymbals. The list of ministrants forthis service was as follows:	1 David y los jefes del ejército separaron para el servicio del culto a los hijos de Asaf, de Hemán y de Iedutún, los cuales profetizaban, acompañándose con cítaras, arpas y címbalos. La lista de los encargados de este servicio es la siguiente:
2 Of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, Asharelah; the sons of Asaph were under thedirection of Asaph who prophesied at the king's direction.	2 De los hijos de Asaf: Zacur, José, Netanías y Asarelá, hijos de Asaf. Estos estaban bajo la dirección de Asaf, el cual profetizaba conforme a las órdenes del rey.
3 Of Jeduthun there were the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Hashabiah and Mattithiah,six, under the direction of their father Jeduthun who, with the harp, prophesied when thanks and praise were tobe given to Yahweh.	3 De Iedutún: los hijos de Iedutún, a saber, Guedalías, Serí, Isaías, Jasabías, Matitías y Simei: seis en total. Estos estaban bajo la dirección de su padre Iedutún, el cual profetizaba al son de la cítara para celebrar y alabar al Señor.
4 Of Heman there were the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, Jerimoth, Hananiah,Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth.	4 De Hemán: los hijos de Hemán, a saber, Buquías, Matanías, Uziel, Sebuel, Ierimot, Jananías, Jananí, Eliatá, Guidaltí, Romantí Ezer, Iosbecasá, Malotí, Hotir y Majaziot.
5 Al these were sons of Heman, the king's seer; at God's word they blew the horn. God gave Hemanfourteen sons and three daughters.	5 Todos estos eran los hijos de Hemán, el vidente del rey en los asuntos referentes a Dios. Para exaltar su poder, Dios había dado a Hemán catorce hijos y tres hijas.
6 Under the king's direction al these had the duty of singing to the accompaniment of cymbal, lyre andharp for the liturgy of the house of God under the direction of their fathers. Asaph, Jeduthun and Heman,	6 Todos ellos estaban bajo la dirección de su padre, para cantar en la Casa del Señor al son de címbalos, arpas y cítaras al servicio de la Casa de Dios, siguiendo las indicaciones del rey, de Asaf, de Iedutún y de Hemán.
7 trained in the songs of Yahweh, with their brothers, numbered two hundred and eighty-eight, alexpert.	7 Eran doscientos ochenta y ocho en total, contando a sus hermanos, todos los cuales habían sido instruidos y eran expertos en el canto del Señor.
8 Junior and senior, master and pupil alike, they drew lots for their term of duty.	8 Se sortearon los turnos para el servicio, tanto del grande como del pequeño, del maestro como del discípulo.
9 The first to whom the lot fel was the Asaphite, Joseph. The second was Gedaliah, who with his sonsand brothers made twelve.	9 La primera suerte recayó sobre el asafita José; la segunda sobre Guedalías, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce en total;
10 The third was Zaccur, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	10 la tercera sobre Zacur, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce en total;
11 The fourth was Izri, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	11 la cuarta sobre Isrí, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce en total;
12 The fifth was Nethaniah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	12 la quinta sobre Netanías, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce en total;
13 The sixth was Bukkiah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	13 la sexta sobre Buquías, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce en total;
14 The seventh was Jesharelah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	14 la séptima sobre Iesarelá, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce en total;
15 The eighth was Jeshaiah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	15 la octava sobre Isaías, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce en total;
16 The ninth was Mattaniah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	16 la novena sobre Metanías, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce en total;
17 The tenth was Shimei, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	17 la décima sobre Simei, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce total;
18 The eleventh was Azarel, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	18 la undécima sobre Azarel, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce en total;
19 The twelfth was Hashabiah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	19 la undécima sobre Jasabías, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce en total;
20 The thirteenth was Shubael, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	20 la decimotercera sobre Subael, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce en total;
21 The fourteenth was Mattithiah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	21 la decimocuarta sobre Matitías, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce en total;
22 The fifteenth was Jeremoth, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	22 la decimoquinta sobre Ieremot, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce en total;

24 The seventeenth was Joshbekashah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	24 la decimoséptima sobre Iosbecasá, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce en total;
25 The eighteenth was Hanani, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	25 la decimoctava sobre Jananí, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce en total;
26 The nineteenth was Mal othi, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	26 la decimonovena sobre Malotí, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce en total;
27 The twentieth was Eliathah, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	27 la vigésima sobre Eliatá, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce en total;
28 The twenty-first was Hothir, who with his sons and brothers made twelve.	28 la vigésima primera sobre Hotir, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce en total;
