1 These are the descendants of Noah's sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, to whom sons were born afterthe flood:	1 Eis a posteridade dois filhos de Noé: Sem, Cam e Jafeth. A estes nasceram filhos depois do dilúvio.
2 Japheth's sons: Gomer, Magog, the Medes, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, Tiras.	2 Filhos de Jafeth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Mosoch e Tiras.
3 Gomer's sons: Ashkenaz, Riphath, Togarmah.	3 Filhos de Gomer: Arcenez, Rifath e Togorma.
4 Javan's sons: Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittim, the Dananites.	4 Filhos de Javan: Elisa e Tarsis, Cetim e Dodanim.
5 From these came the dispersal to the islands of the nations. These were Japheth's sons, in theirrespective countries, each with its own language, by clan and nation.	5 Destes saíram (os habitantes) das ilhas das nações nas suas (diversas) regiões, cada um segundo a sua língua, segundo as suas famílias, segundo as suas nações.
6 Ham's sons: Cush, Mizraim, Put, Canaan.	6 Filhos de Cam: Cus, Mesraim, Futh e Canaan.
7 Cush's sons: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, Sabteca. Raamah's sons: Sheba, Dedan.	7 Filhos de Cus: Saba, Hevila, Sabata, Regma e Sabataca. Filhos de Regma: Saba e Dadan.
8 Cush fathered Nimrod who was the first potentate on earth.	8 Cus gerou Nemrod, o qual começou a ser poderoso na terra.
9 He was a mighty hunter in the eyes of Yahweh, hence the saying, 'Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter in theeyes of Yahweh'.	9 Era um robusto caçador diante do Senhor. Daqui veio este provérbio: Robusto caçador diante do Senhor como Nemrod.
10 The mainstays of his empire were Babel, Erech and Accad, all of them in the land of Shinar.	10 O princípio do seu reino foi Babilônia, Arach, Acad e Calane, na terra de Senaar.
11 From this country came Asshur, and he built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah,	11 Daquela terra foi para Assur, e edificou Nínive, e Rechoboth-Ir, e Calé,
12 and Resen between Nineveh and Calah (this being the capital).	12 e também Resen, a grande cidade, entre Nínive e Calé.

18 Arvadites, Zemarites and Hamathites. Later, the Canaanite clans spread out.	18 Aradeus, Samareus e Amateus. Depois disto, espalharam-se as famílias dos Cananeus,
19 The Canaanite frontier stretched from Sidon al the way to Gerar near Gaza, and al the way toSodom, Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboi m near Lesha.	19 indo os limites dos seus territórios, desde Sidónia, na direção de Gerara, até Gaza, e, na direção de Sodoma, Gomorra, Adamam e Seboim, até Lesa.
20 These were Ham's sons, by clans and languages, by countries and nations.	20 Estes são os filhos de Cam, segundo as suas famílias, línguas, regiões e nações.
21 Shem too fathered sons, being ancestor of all the sons of Eber and Japheth's elder brother.	21 De Sem, pai de todos os filhos de Heber e irmão mais velho de Jafeth, nasceram também filhos.
22 Shem's sons: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, Aram.	22 Filhos de Sem: Elam, Assur, Arfaxad, Lud e Arão.
23 Aram's sons: Uz, Hul, Gether and Mash.	23 Filhos de Arão: Us, Hul, Geter e Més.
24 Arpachshad fathered Shelah, and Shelah fathered Eber.	24 Arfaxad gerou Salé, de quem nasceu Heber.
25 To Eber were born two sons: the first was cal ed Peleg, because it was in his time that the earth wasdivided, and his brother was called Joktan.	25 A Heber nasceram dois filhos: um chamou-se Faleg, porque em seu tempo foi dividida a terra, e seu irmão chamou-se Jectan.
26 Joktan fathered Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,	26 Este Jectan gerou Elmodad, Saleph, Asarmoith, Jaré,
27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,	27 Adurão, Usai, Decla,
28 Obal, Abima-El, Sheba,	28 Ebal, Abimael, Saba,
29 Ophir, Havilah, Jobab; al these were sons of Joktan.	29 Ofir, Hévila e Jobab; todos estes são filhos de Jectan.
30 They occupied a stretch of country from Mesha all the way to Sephar, the eastern mountain range.	30 O país onde eles habitaram estendia-se desde Messa até Sefar, monte que está ao oriente.
31 These were Shem's sons, by clans and languages, by countries and nations.	31 Estes são os filhos de Sem, Segundo as suas famílias, línguas, regiões e nações.
32 Such were the clans of Noah's descendants, listed by descent and nation. From them, other nationsbranched out on earth after the flood.	32 Estas são as familias dos filhos de Noé, segundo as suas gerações e nações. Delas saíram todos os povos da terra depois do dilúvio.
