NEW JERUSALEM	JERUSALEM
1 These are the descendants of Noah's sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, to whom sons were born afterthe flood:	1 Voici la descendance des fils de Noé, Sem, Cham et Japhet, auxquels des fils naquirent après ledéluge:
2 Japheth's sons: Gomer, Magog, the Medes, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, Tiras.	2 Fils de Japhet: Gomer, Magog, les Mèdes, Yavân, Tubal, Moshek, Tiras.
3 Gomer's sons: Ashkenaz, Riphath, Togarmah.	3 Fils de Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphat, Togarma.
4 Javan's sons: Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittim, the Dananites.	4 Fils de Yavân: Elisha, Tarsis, les Kittim, les Dananéens.
5 From these came the dispersal to the islands of the nations. These were Japheth's sons, in theirrespective countries, each with its own language, by clan and nation.	5 A partir d'eux se fit la dispersion dans les îles des nations. Tels furent les fils de Japhet, d'aprèsleurs pays et chacun selon sa langue, selon leurs clans et d'après leurs nations.
6 Ham's sons: Cush, Mizraim, Put, Canaan.	6 Fils de Cham: Kush, Miçrayim, Put, Canaan.
7 Cush's sons: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, Sabteca. Raamah's sons: Sheba, Dedan.	7 Fils de Kush: Séba, Havila, Sabta, Rama, Sabteka. Fils deRama: Sheba, Dedân.
8 Cush fathered Nimrod who was the first potentate on earth.	8 Kush engendra Nemrod, qui fut le premier potentat sur la terre.
9 He was a mighty hunter in the eyes of Yahweh, hence the saying, 'Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter in theeyes of Yahweh'.	9 C'était un vaillant chasseur devant Yahvé, et c'est pourquoi l'on dit: "Comme Nemrod, vaillantchasseur devant Yahvé."
10 The mainstays of his empire were Babel, Erech and Accad, all of them in the land of Shinar.	10 Les soutiens de son empire furent Babel, Erek et Akkad, villes qui sont toutes au pays de Shinéar.
11 From this country came Asshur, and he built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah,	11 De ce pays sortit Ashshur, et il bâtit Ninive, Rehobot-Ir, Kalah,
12 and Resen between Nineveh and Calah (this being the capital).	12 et Rèsèn entre Ninive et Kalah (c'est la grande ville).
13 Mizraim fathered the people of Lud, of Anam, Lehab, Naphtuh,	13 Miçrayim engendra les gens de Lud, de Anam, de Lehab, de Naphtuh,
14 Pathros, Casluh and Caphtor, from which the Philistines came.	14 de Patros, de Kasluh et de Kaphtor, d'où sont sortis les Philistins.
15 Canaan fathered Sidon, his first-born, then Heth,	15 Canaan engendra Sidon, son premier-né, puis Hèt,
16 and the Jebusites, the Amorites, Girgashites,	16 et le Jébuséen, l'Amorite, le Girgashite,
17 Hivites, Arkites, Sinites,	17 le Hivvite, l'Arqite, le Sinite,
18 Arvadites, Zemarites and Hamathites. Later, the Canaanite clans spread out.	18 l'Arvadite, le Cemarite, le Hamatite; ensuite se dispersèrent les clans cananéens.
19 The Canaanite frontier stretched from Sidon al the way to Gerar near Gaza, and al the way toSodom, Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboi m near Lesha.	19 La frontière des Cananéens allait de Sidon en direction de Gérar, jusqu'à Gaza, puis en directionde Sodome, Gomorrhe, Adma et Ceboyim, et jusqu'à Lésha.
20 These were Ham's sons, by clans and languages, by countries and nations.	20 Tels furent les fils de Cham, selon leurs clans et leurs langues, d'après leurs pays et leurs nations.
21 Shem too fathered sons, being ancestor of all the sons of Eber and Japheth's elder brother.	21 Une descendance naquit également à Sem, l'ancêtre de tous les fils de Eber et le frère aîné deJaphet.
22 Shem's sons: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, Aram.	22 Fils de Sem: Elam, Ashshur, Arpakshad, Lud, Aram.
23 Aram's sons: Uz, Hul, Gether and Mash.	23 Fils d'Aram: Uç, Hul, Géter et Mash.
24 Arpachshad fathered Shelah, and Shelah fathered Eber.	24 Arpakshad engendra Shélah et Shélah engendra Eber.
25 To Eber were born two sons: the first was cal ed Peleg, because it was in his time that the earth wasdivided, and his brother was called Joktan.	25 A Eber naquirent deux fils: le premier s'appelait Péleg, carce fut en son temps que la terre futdivisée, et son frères'appelait Yoqtân.
26 Joktan fathered Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,	26 Yoqtân engendra Almodad, Shéleph, Haççarmavet, Yérah,
27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,	27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diqla,
28 Obal, Abima-El, Sheba,	28 Obal, Abimaël, Sheba,
29 Ophir, Havilah, Jobab; al these were sons of Joktan.	29 Ophir, Havila, Yobab; tous ceux-là sont fils de Yoqtân.
30 They occupied a stretch of country from Mesha all the way to Sephar, the eastern mountain range.	30 Ils habitaient à partir de Mesha en direction de Sephar, la montagne de l'Orient.
31 These were Shem's sons, by clans and languages, by countries and nations.	31 Tels furent les fils de Sem, selon leurs clans et leurs langues, d'après leurs pays et leurs nations.
32 Such were the clans of Noah's descendants, listed by descent and nation. From them, other nationsbranched out on earth after the flood.	32 Tels furent les clans des descendants de Noé, selon leurs lignées et d'après leurs nations. Ce fut àpartir d'eux que les peuples se dispersèrent sur la terre après le déluge.
