1 Das Wort des Herrn gegen die Philister, das an den Propheten Jeremia erging, bevor der Pharao Gaza eroberte.	1 The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah, the prophet, against the Philistines, before Pharaoh struck Gaza.
2 So spricht der Herr: Seht, Wasser wogen vom Norden heran und werden zum flutenden Wildbach. Sie überfluten das Land und was darin ist, die Städte und ihre Bewohner. Da schreien die Menschen, laut klagen alle Bewohner des Landes	2 Thus says the Lord: “Behold, waters will rise up from the north, and they will be like an inundating torrent, and they will cover the land and its plenitude, the city and its inhabitants. The men will cry out, and all the inhabitants of the land will wail,
3 vor dem donnernden Hufschlag der Hengste, vor dem Dröhnen der Streitwagen, vor dem Rasseln der Räder.
