Псалмів 34

1 Давида, коли він удавав божевільного перед Авімелехом, і той прогнав його, і він пішов.	1 A Psalm of David, when he feigned madness before Abimelech, so that he drove him out, and he went away. I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 Благословлю Господа повсякчасно, завжди хвала його в устах у мене.	2 My soul makes its boast in the LORD; let the afflicted hear and be glad.
3 Душа моя нехай Господом хвалиться; нехай покірні чують те й веселяться.	3 O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together!
4 Величайте Господа зо мною, і вознесімо ім’я його вкупі.	4 I sought the LORD, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.
5 Я шукав Господа, і він почув мене; і звільнив мене від усіх моїх страхів.	5 Look to him, and be radiant; so your faces shall never be ashamed.
6 Гляньте на нього й розвеселіться, обличчя ваше нехай не соромиться.	6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 Ось візвав бідолаха, і Господь почув, і врятував його від усіх його напастей.	7 The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.
8 Ангел Господній стоїть на варті навкруг тих, що його бояться, і їх визволяє.	8 O taste and see that the LORD is good! Happy is the man who takes refuge in him!
9 Спробуйте й подивіться, який добрий Господь. Блаженний, хто до нього прибігає.	9 O fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him have no want!
10 Бійтеся Господа, його святії, бо нема нестачі в тих, що його бояться.	10 The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.
11 Багатії збідніли й голодують, а тим, що Господа шукають, ніякого блага не забракне.	11 Come, O sons, listen to me, I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
12 Ходіть, мої діти, послухайте мене: остраху Господнього навчу вас.	12 What man is there who desires life, and covets many days, that he may enjoy good?
13 Хто той, що життя любить, що рад бачити дні щасливі?	13 Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit.
14 Бережи від зла язик твій і уста твої від слів лукавих.	14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
15 Відступи від зла й чини добро, шукай миру та його тримайся!	15 The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous, and his ears toward their cry.
16 Очі Господні на праведних; вуха його — на їхній заклик.	16 The face of the LORD is against evildoers, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
17 А обличчя Господнє проти злочинців, щоб знищити з землі їхню пам’ять.	17 When the righteous cry for help, the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.
18 Візвали праведні, і Господь почув їх і з усіх скорбот їхніх врятував їх.	18 The LORD is near to the brokenhearted, and saves the crushed in spirit.
19 Близький Господь до тих, у кого розбите серце; прибитих духом він спасає.	19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but the LORD delivers him out of them all.
20 Багато в праведника злиднів, але з усіх них Господь його рятує.	20 He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken.
21 Він усі його кості зберігає, ані одна з них не зламається.	21 Evil shall slay the wicked; and those who hate the righteous will be condemned.
22 Злоба грішника його ж убиває, і ті, що ненавидять праведника, зазнають кари.	22 The LORD redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.
23 Господь визволяє душу слуг своїх, і хто до нього прибігає, покараний не буде.
