SAGRADA BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Bildad de Chua falou então nestes termos:	1 Bildad of Shuah spoke next. He said:
2 Quando acabarás de falar, e terás a sabedoria de nos deixar dizer?	2 What prevents you others from saying something? Think -- for it is our turn to speak!
3 Por que nos consideras como animais, e por que passamos por estúpidos a teus olhos?	3 Why do you regard us as animals, considering us no more than brutes?
4 Tu que te rasgas em teu furor, é preciso que por tua causa a terra seja abandonada, e que os rochedos mudem de lugar?	4 Tear yourself to pieces if you will, but the world, for al your rage, wil not turn to desert, the rocks wilnot shift from their places.
5 Sim, a luz do mau se apagará, e a flama de seu fogo cessará de alumiar.	5 The light of the wicked must certainly be put out, the lamp that gives him light cease to shine.
6 A luz obscurece em sua tenda, e sua lâmpada sobre ele se apagará;	6 In his tent the light is dimmed, the lamp that shone on him is snuffed.
7 seus passos firmes serão cortados, seus próprios desígnios os farão tropeçar.	7 His vigorous stride loses its power, his own designs falter.
8 Seus pés se prendem numa rede, e ele anda sobre malhas.	8 For into the net his own feet carry him, he walks into the snares.
9 A armadilha o segura pelo calcanhar, um laço o aperta.	9 A spring grips him by the heel, a trap snaps shut, and he is caught.
10 Uma corda se esconde sob a terra para pegá-lo, uma armadilha, ao longo da vereda.	10 Hidden in the ground is a snare to catch him, pitfal s lie across his path.
11 De todas as partes temores o amedrontam, e perseguem-no passo a passo.	11 Terrors threaten him from al sides following him step by step.
12 A calamidade vem faminta sobre ele, a infelicidade está postada a seu lado.	12 Hunger becomes his companion, by his side Disaster stands.
13 A pele de seu corpo é devorada, o filho mais velho da morte devora-lhe os membros;	13 Disease devours his skin, Death's First-Born gnaws his limbs.
14 é arrancado da tenda, onde se sentia seguro, levam-no ao rei dos terrores.	14 He wil be torn from the shelter of his tent, and you wil drag him to the King of Terrors.
15 Podes estabelecer-te em sua tenda: ele não existe mais; o enxofre é espalhado em seu domínio.	15 You can live in the tent, since it is no longer his, and brimstone wil be scattered on his sheepfold.
16 Por baixo suas raízes secam, e por cima seus ramos definham.	16 Below, his roots dry out and his branches are blasted above.
17 Sua memória apaga-se da terra, nada mais lembra o seu nome na região.	17 His memory fades from the land, his name is forgotten in the countryside.
18 É arrojado da luz para as trevas, é desterrado do mundo.	18 Driven from the light into the darkness, he is banished from the world,
19 Não tem descendente nem posteridade em sua tribo, nem sobrevivente algum em sua morada.	19 without issue or posterity among his own people or a single survivor where he used to live.
20 O Ocidente está estupefacto com sua sorte, o Oriente treme diante dela.	20 His end appals the west and fills the east with terror.
21 Eis o que acontece com as tendas dos ímpios, os lugares habitados pelo homem que não conhece Deus.	21 Such indeed is the fate of the places where wickedness dwel s -- the home of everyone who knowsnot God.
