Ezechiele 37

BIBBIA CEI 1974	NEW JERUSALEM
1 La mano del Signore fu sopra di me e il Signore mi portò fuori in spirito e mi depose nella pianura che era piena di ossa;	1 The hand of Yahweh was on me; he carried me away by the spirit of Yahweh and set me down in themiddle of the val ey, a valley ful of bones.
2 mi fece passare tutt'intorno accanto ad esse. Vidi che erano in grandissima quantità sulla distesa della valle e tutte inaridite.	2 He made me walk up and down and all around among them. There were vast quantities of thesebones on the floor of the val ey; and they were completely dry.
3 Mi disse: "Figlio dell'uomo, potranno queste ossa rivivere?". Io risposi: "Signore Dio, tu lo sai".	3 He said to me, 'Son of man, can these bones live?' I said, 'You know, Lord Yahweh.'
4 Egli mi replicò: "Profetizza su queste ossa e annunzia loro: Ossa inaridite, udite la parola del Signore.	4 He said, 'Prophesy over these bones. Say, "Dry bones, hear the word of Yahweh.
5 Dice il Signore Dio a queste ossa: Ecco, io faccio entrare in voi lo spirito e rivivrete.	5 The Lord Yahweh says this to these bones: I am now going to make breath enter you, and you willlive.
6 Metterò su di voi i nervi e farò crescere su di voi la carne, su di voi stenderò la pelle e infonderò in voi lo spirito e rivivrete: Saprete che io sono il Signore".	6 I shal put sinews on you, I shal make flesh grow on you, I shal cover you with skin and give youbreath, and you wil live; and you wil know that I am Yahweh." '
7 Io profetizzai come mi era stato ordinato; mentre io profetizzavo, sentii un rumore e vidi un movimento fra le ossa, che si accostavano l'uno all'altro, ciascuno al suo corrispondente.	7 I prophesied as I had been ordered. While I was prophesying, there was a noise, a clattering sound; itwas the bones coming together.
8 Guardai ed ecco sopra di esse i nervi, la carne cresceva e la pelle le ricopriva, ma non c'era spirito in loro.	8 And as I looked, they were covered with sinews; flesh was growing on them and skin was coveringthem, yet there was no breath in them.
9 Egli aggiunse: "Profetizza allo spirito, profetizza figlio dell'uomo e annunzia allo spirito: Dice il Signore Dio: Spirito, vieni dai quattro venti e soffia su questi morti, perché rivivano".	9 He said to me, 'Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man. Say to the breath, "The Lord Yahwehsays this: Come from the four winds, breath; breathe on these dead, so that they come to life!" '
10 Io profetizzai come mi aveva comandato e lo spirito entrò in essi e ritornarono in vita e si alzarono in piedi; erano un esercito grande, sterminato.	10 I prophesied as he had ordered me, and the breath entered them; they came to life and stood up ontheir feet, a great, an immense army.
11 Mi disse: "Figlio dell'uomo, queste ossa sono tutta la gente d'Israele. Ecco, essi vanno dicendo: Le nostre ossa sono inaridite, la nostra speranza è svanita, noi siamo perduti.	11 Then he said, 'Son of man, these bones are the whole House of Israel. They keep saying, "Ourbones are dry, our hope has gone; we are done for."
12 Perciò profetizza e annunzia loro: Dice il Signore Dio: Ecco, io apro i vostri sepolcri, vi risuscito dalle vostre tombe, o popolo mio, e vi riconduco nel paese d'Israele.	12 So, prophesy. Say to them, "The Lord Yahweh says this: I am now going to open your graves; I shallraise you from your graves, my people, and lead you back to the soil of Israel.
13 Riconoscerete che io sono il Signore, quando aprirò le vostre tombe e vi risusciterò dai vostri sepolcri, o popolo mio.	13 And you wil know that I am Yahweh, when I open your graves and raise you from your graves, mypeople,
14 Farò entrare in voi il mio spirito e rivivrete; vi farò riposare nel vostro paese; saprete che io sono il Signore. L'ho detto e lo farò". Oracolo del Signore Dio.	14 and put my spirit in you, and you revive, and I resettle you on your own soil. Then you will know thatI, Yahweh, have spoken and done this -- declares the Lord Yahweh." '
15 Mi fu rivolta questa parola del Signore:	15 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,
16 "Figlio dell'uomo, prendi un legno e scrivici sopra: Giuda e gli Israeliti uniti a lui, poi prendi un altro legno e scrivici sopra: Giuseppe, legno di Èfraim e tutta la casa d'Israele unita a lui,	16 'Son of man, take a stick and write on it, "Judah and those Israelites loyal to him." Take another stick and write on it, "Joseph (Ephraim's wood) and all the House of Israel loyal to him."
17 e accostali l'uno all'altro in modo da fare un legno solo, che formino una cosa sola nella tua mano.	17 'Join one to the other to make a single piece of wood, a single stick in your hand.
18 Quando i figli del tuo popolo ti diranno: Ci vuoi spiegare che significa questo per te?,	18 And when the members of your nation say, "Wil you not tel us what you mean?"
19 tu dirai loro: Dice il Signore Dio: Ecco, io prendo il legno di Giuseppe, che è in mano d'Èfraim e le tribù d'Israele unite a lui, e lo metto sul legno di Giuda per farne un legno solo; diventeranno una cosa sola in mano mia.	19 say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: I am taking the stick of Joseph (now in Ephraim's hand) and thosetribes of Israel loyal to him and shal join them to the stick of Judah. I shal make one stick out of the two, a singlestick in my hand."
20 Tieni in mano sotto i loro occhi i legni sui quali hai scritto e	20 'When the pieces of wood you have written on are in your hand in ful sight of them,
21 di' loro: Così dice il Signore Dio: Ecco, io prenderò gli Israeliti dalle genti fra le quali sono andati e li radunerò da ogni parte e li ricondurrò nel loro paese:	21 say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: I shall take the Israelites from the nations where they have gone. Ishall gather them to- gether from everywhere and bring them home to their own soil.
22 farò di loro un solo popolo nella mia terra, sui monti d'Israele; un solo re regnerà su tutti loro e non saranno più due popoli, né più saranno divisi in due regni.	22 I shal make them into one nation in the country, on the mountains of Israel, and one king is to beking of them al ; they will no longer form two nations, nor be two separate kingdoms.
23 Non si contamineranno più con i loro idoli, con i loro abomini e con tutte le loro iniquità; li libererò da tutte le ribellioni con cui hanno peccato; li purificherò e saranno il mio popolo e io sarò il loro Dio.	23 They will no longer defile themselves with their foul idols, their horrors and any of their crimes. I shallsave them from the acts of infidelity which they have committed and shal cleanse them; they will be my peopleand I shall be their God.
24 Il mio servo Davide sarà su di loro e non vi sarà che un unico pastore per tutti; seguiranno i miei comandamenti, osserveranno le mie leggi e le metteranno in pratica.	24 My servant David will reign over them, one shepherd for al ; they wil fol ow my judgements, respectmy laws and practise them.
25 Abiteranno nella terra che ho dato al mio servo Giacobbe. In quella terra su cui abitarono i loro padri, abiteranno essi, i loro figli e i figli dei loro figli, attraverso i secoli; Davide mio servo sarà loro re per sempre.	25 They will live in the country which I gave to my servant Jacob, the country in which your ancestorslived. They wil live in it, they, their children, their children's children, for ever. David my servant is to be theirprince for ever.
26 Farò con loro un'alleanza di pace, che sarà con loro un'alleanza eterna. Li stabilirò e li moltiplicherò e porrò il mio santuario in mezzo a loro per sempre.	26 I shal make a covenant of peace with them, an eternal covenant with them. I shal resettle them andmake them grow; I shall set my sanctuary among them for ever.
27 In mezzo a loro sarà la mia dimora: io sarò il loro Dio ed essi saranno il mio popolo.	27 I shal make my home above them; I shall be their God, and they wil be my people.
28 Le genti sapranno che io sono il Signore che santifico Israele quando il mio santuario sarà in mezzo a loro per sempre".	28 And the nations wil know that I am Yahweh the sanctifier of Israel, when my sanctuary is with themfor ever." '
