Gálatas 5

BIBLIA	KING JAMES BIBLE
1 Para ser libres nos libertó Cristo. Manteneos, pues, firmes y no os dejéis oprimir nuevamente bajo el yugo de la esclavitud.	1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
2 Soy yo, Pablo, quien os lo dice: Si os dejáis circuncidar, Cristo no os aprovechará nada.	2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
3 De nuevo declaro a todo hombre que se circuncida que queda obligado a practicar toda la ley.	3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
4 Habéis roto con Cristo todos cuantos buscáis la justicia en la ley. Os habéis apartado de la gracia.	4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
5 Pues a nosotros nos mueve el Espíritu a aguardar por la fe los bienes esperados por la justicia.	5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
6 Porque en Cristo Jesús ni la circuncisión ni la incircuncisión tienen valor, sino solamente la fe que actúa por la caridad.	6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
7 Comenzasteis bien vuestra carrera, ¿quién os puso obstáculo para no seguir a la verdad?	7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?
8 Semejante persuasión no proviene de Aquel que os llama.	8 This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.
9 Un poco de levadura fermenta toda la masa.	9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
10 Por mi parte, confío en el Señor que vosotros no pensaréis de otra manera; pero el que os perturba llevará su castigo, quienquiera que sea.	10 I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.
11 En cuanto a mí, hermanos, si aún predico la circuncisión, ¿por qué soy todavía perseguido? ¡Pues se acabó ya el escándalo de la cruz!	11 And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.
12 ¡Ojalá que se mutilaran los que os perturban!	12 I would they were even cut off which trouble you.
13 Porque, hermanos, habéis sido llamados a la libertad; sólo que no toméis de esa libertad pretexto para la carne; antes al contrario, servíos por amor los unos a los otros.	13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
14 Pues toda la ley alcanza su plenitud en este solo precepto: Amarás a tu prójimo como a ti mismo.	14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
15 Pero si os mordéis y os devoráis mutuamente, ¡mirad no vayáis mutuamente a destruiros!	15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
16 Por mi parte os digo: Si vivís según el Espíritu, no daréis satisfacción a las apetencias de la carne.	16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
17 Pues la carne tiene apetencias contrarias al espíritu, y el espíritu contrarias a la carne, como que son entre sí antagónicos, de forma que no hacéis lo que quisierais.	17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18 Pero, si sois conducidos por el Espíritu, no estáis bajo la ley.	18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19 Ahora bien, las obras de la carne son conocidas: fornicación, impureza, libertinaje,	19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 idolatría, hechicería, odios, discordia, celos, iras, rencillas, divisiones, disensiones,	20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 envidias, embriagueces, orgías y cosas semejantes, sobre las cuales os prevengo, como ya os previne, que quienes hacen tales cosas no heredarán el Reino de Dios.	21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 En cambio el fruto del Espíritu es amor, alegría, paz, paciencia, afabilidad, bondad, fidelidad,	22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 mansedumbre, dominio de sí; contra tales cosas no hay ley.	23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 Pues los que son de Cristo Jesús, han crucificado la carne con sus pasiones y sus apetencias.	24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 Si vivimos según el Espíritu, obremos también según el Espíritu.	25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26 No busquemos la gloria vana provocándonos los unos a los otros y envidiándonos mutuamente.	26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
