NEW JERUSALEM	EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL
1 The beginning of the gospel about Jesus Christ, the Son of God.	1 [Probleme mit Schrift-Anzeige?] Anfang des Evangeliums von Jesus Christus, dem Sohn Gottes:
2 It is written in the prophet Isaiah: Look, I am going to send my messenger in front of you to prepare yourway before you.	2 Es begann, wie es bei dem Propheten Jesaja steht: Ich sende meinen Boten vor dir her; er soll den Weg für dich bahnen.
3 A voice of one that cries in the desert: Prepare a way for the Lord, make his paths straight.	3 Eine Stimme ruft in der Wüste: Bereitet dem Herrn den Weg! Ebnet ihm die Straßen!
4 John the Baptist was in the desert, proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.	4 So trat Johannes der Täufer in der Wüste auf und verkündigte Umkehr und Taufe zur Vergebung der Sünden.
5 All Judaea and all the people of Jerusalem made their way to him, and as they were baptised by him inthe river Jordan they confessed their sins.	5 Ganz Judäa und alle Einwohner Jerusalems zogen zu ihm hinaus; sie bekannten ihre Sünden und ließen sich im Jordan von ihm taufen.
6 John wore a garment of camel-skin, and he lived on locusts and wild honey.	6 Johannes trug ein Gewand aus Kamelhaaren und einen ledernen Gürtel um seine Hüften und er lebte von Heuschrecken und wildem Honig.
7 In the course of his preaching he said, 'After me is coming someone who is more powerful than me, andI am not fit to kneel down and undo the strap of his sandals.	7 Er verkündete: Nach mir kommt einer, der ist stärker als ich; ich bin es nicht wert, mich zu bücken, um ihm die Schuhe aufzuschnüren.
8 I have baptised you with water, but he wil baptise you with the Holy Spirit.'	8 Ich habe euch nur mit Wasser getauft, er aber wird euch mit dem Heiligen Geist taufen.
9 It was at this time that Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptised in the Jordan by John.	9 In jenen Tagen kam Jesus aus Nazaret in Galiläa und ließ sich von Johannes im Jordan taufen.
10 And at once, as he was coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens torn apart and the Spirit, likea dove, descending on him.	10 Und als er aus dem Wasser stieg, sah er, dass der Himmel sich öffnete und der Geist wie eine Taube auf ihn herabkam.
11 And a voice came from heaven, 'You are my Son, the Beloved; my favour rests on you.'	11 Und eine Stimme aus dem Himmel sprach: Du bist mein geliebter Sohn, an dir habe ich Gefallen gefunden.
12 And at once the Spirit drove him into the desert	12 Danach trieb der Geist Jesus in die Wüste.
13 and he remained there for forty days, and was put to the test by Satan. He was with the wild animals,and the angels looked after him.	13 Dort blieb Jesus vierzig Tage lang und wurde vom Satan in Versuchung geführt. Er lebte bei den wilden Tieren und die Engel dienten ihm.
14 After John had been arrested, Jesus went into Galilee. There he proclaimed the gospel from Godsaying,	14 Nachdem man Johannes ins Gefängnis geworfen hatte, ging Jesus wieder nach Galiläa; er verkündete das Evangelium Gottes
15 'The time is fulfil ed, and the kingdom of God is close at hand. Repent, and believe the gospel.'	15 und sprach: Die Zeit ist erfüllt, das Reich Gottes ist nahe. Kehrt um, und glaubt an das Evangelium!
16 As he was walking along by the Lake of Galilee he saw Simon and Simon's brother Andrew casting anet in the lake -- for they were fishermen.	16 Als Jesus am See von Galiläa entlangging, sah er Simon und Andreas, den Bruder des Simon, die auf dem See ihr Netz auswarfen; sie waren nämlich Fischer.
17 And Jesus said to them, 'Come after me and I will make you into fishers of people.'	17 Da sagte er zu ihnen: Kommt her, folgt mir nach! Ich werde euch zu Menschenfischern machen.
18 And at once they left their nets and fol owed him.	18 Sogleich ließen sie ihre Netze liegen und folgten ihm.
19 Going on a little further, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John; they too were in theirboat, mending the nets.	19 Als er ein Stück weiterging, sah er Jakobus, den Sohn des Zebedäus, und seinen Bruder Johannes; sie waren im Boot und richteten ihre Netze her.
20 At once he called them and, leaving their father Zebedee in the boat with the men he employed, theywent after him.	20 Sofort rief er sie und sie ließen ihren Vater Zebedäus mit seinen Tagelöhnern im Boot zurück und folgten Jesus nach.
21 They went as far as Capernaum, and at once on the Sabbath he went into the synagogue and beganto teach.	21 Sie kamen nach Kafarnaum. Am folgenden Sabbat ging er in die Synagoge und lehrte.
22 And his teaching made a deep impression on them because, unlike the scribes, he taught them withauthority.	22 Und die Menschen waren sehr betroffen von seiner Lehre; denn er lehrte sie wie einer, der (göttliche) Vollmacht hat, nicht wie die Schriftgelehrten.
23 And at once in their synagogue there was a man with an unclean spirit, and he shouted,	23 In ihrer Synagoge saß ein Mann, der von einem unreinen Geist besessen war. Der begann zu schreien:
24 'What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are:the Holy One of God.'	24 Was haben wir mit dir zu tun, Jesus von Nazaret? Bist du gekommen, um uns ins Verderben zu stürzen? Ich weiß, wer du bist: der Heilige Gottes.
25 But Jesus rebuked it saying, 'Be quiet! Come out of him!'	25 Da befahl ihm Jesus: Schweig und verlass ihn!
26 And the unclean spirit threw the man into convulsions and with a loud cry went out of him.	26 Der unreine Geist zerrte den Mann hin und her und verließ ihn mit lautem Geschrei.
27 The people were so astonished that they started asking one another what it al meant, saying, 'Here isa teaching that is new, and with authority behind it: he gives orders even to unclean spirits and they obey him.'	27 Da erschraken alle und einer fragte den andern: Was hat das zu bedeuten? Hier wird mit Vollmacht eine ganz neue Lehre verkündet. Sogar die unreinen Geister gehorchen seinem Befehl.
28 And his reputation at once spread everywhere, through all the surrounding Galilean countryside.	28 Und sein Ruf verbreitete sich rasch im ganzen Gebiet von Galiläa.
29 And at once on leaving the synagogue, he went with James and John straight to the house of Simonand Andrew.	29 Sie verließen die Synagoge und gingen zusammen mit Jakobus und Johannes gleich in das Haus des Simon und Andreas.
30 Now Simon's mother-in-law was in bed and feverish, and at once they told him about her.	30 Die Schwiegermutter des Simon lag mit Fieber im Bett. Sie sprachen mit Jesus über sie,
31 He went in to her, took her by the hand and helped her up. And the fever left her and she began toserve them.	31 und er ging zu ihr, fasste sie an der Hand und richtete sie auf. Da wich das Fieber von ihr und sie sorgte für sie.
32 That evening, after sunset, they brought to him all who were sick and those who were possessed bydevils.	32 Am Abend, als die Sonne untergegangen war, brachte man alle Kranken und Besessenen zu Jesus.
33 The whole town came crowding round the door,	33 Die ganze Stadt war vor der Haustür versammelt,
34 and he cured many who were sick with diseases of one kind or another; he also drove out manydevils, but he would not allow them to speak, because they knew who he was.	34 und er heilte viele, die an allen möglichen Krankheiten litten, und trieb viele Dämonen aus. Und er verbot den Dämonen zu reden; denn sie wussten, wer er war.
35 In the morning, long before dawn, he got up and left the house and went off to a lonely place andprayed there.	35 In aller Frühe, als es noch dunkel war, stand er auf und ging an einen einsamen Ort, um zu beten.
36 Simon and his companions set out in search of him,	36 Simon und seine Begleiter eilten ihm nach,
37 and when they found him they said, 'Everybody is looking for you.'	37 und als sie ihn fanden, sagten sie zu ihm: Alle suchen dich.
38 He answered, 'Let us go elsewhere, to the neighbouring country towns, so that I can proclaim themessage there too, because that is why I came.'	38 Er antwortete: Lasst uns anderswohin gehen, in die benachbarten Dörfer, damit ich auch dort predige; denn dazu bin ich gekommen.
39 And he went all through Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out devils.	39 Und er zog durch ganz Galiläa, predigte in den Synagogen und trieb die Dämonen aus.
40 A man suffering from a virulent skin-disease came to him and pleaded on his knees saying, 'If you arewil ing, you can cleanse me.'	40 Ein Aussätziger kam zu Jesus und bat ihn um Hilfe; er fiel vor ihm auf die Knie und sagte: Wenn du willst, kannst du machen, dass ich rein werde.
41 Feeling sorry for him, Jesus stretched out his hand, touched him and said to him, 'I am willing. Becleansed.'	41 Jesus hatte Mitleid mit ihm; er streckte die Hand aus, berührte ihn und sagte: Ich will es - werde rein!
42 And at once the skin-disease left him and he was cleansed.	42 Im gleichen Augenblick verschwand der Aussatz und der Mann war rein.
43 And at once Jesus sternly sent him away and said to him,	43 Jesus schickte ihn weg und schärfte ihm ein:
44 'Mind you tel no one anything, but go and show yourself to the priest, and make the offering for yourcleansing prescribed by Moses as evidence to them.'	44 Nimm dich in Acht! Erzähl niemand etwas davon, sondern geh, zeig dich dem Priester und bring das Reinigungsopfer dar, das Mose angeordnet hat. Das soll für sie ein Beweis (meiner Gesetzestreue) sein.
45 The man went away, but then started freely proclaiming and tel ing the story everywhere, so thatJesus could no longer go openly into any town, but stayed outside in deserted places. Even so, people from alaround kept coming to him.	45 Der Mann aber ging weg und erzählte bei jeder Gelegenheit, was geschehen war; er verbreitete die ganze Geschichte, sodass sich Jesus in keiner Stadt mehr zeigen konnte; er hielt sich nur noch außerhalb der Städte an einsamen Orten auf. Dennoch kamen die Leute von überallher zu ihm.
