NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses, in the desert of Sinai, in the Tent of Meeting, on the first day of the secondmonth, in the second year after the exodus from Egypt, and said:	1 Yahveh habló a Moisés en el desierto del Sinaí, en la Tienda del Encuentro, el día primero del mes segundo, el año segundo de la salida de Egipto. 2 'Take a census of the whole community of Israelites by clans and families, taking a count of the namesof al the males, head by head.	2 «Haced el censo de toda la comunidad de los israelitas, por clanes y por familias, contando los nombres de todos los varones, uno por uno.
3 You and Aaron wil register al those in Israel, twenty years of age and over, fit to bear arms, companyby company;	3 Alistaréis, tú y Aarón, a todos los de veinte años para arriba, a todos los útiles para la guerra, por cuerpos de ejército.
4 you wil have one man from each tribe, the head of his family, to help you.	4 Os ayudará un hombre por cada tribu, que sea jefe de su familia.
5 'These are the names of those who must help you: For Reuben, Elizur son of Shedeur.	5 Estos son los nombres de los que os ayudarán: Por Rubén, Elisur, hijo de Sedeur.
6 For Simeon, Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai.	6 Por Simeón, Selumiel, hijo de Surisadday.
7 For Judah, Nahshon son of Amminadab.	7 Por Judá, Najsón, hijo de Aminadab.
8 For Issachar, Nethanel son of Zuar.	8 Por Isacar, Natanael, hijo de Suar.
9 For Zebulun, Eliab son of Helon.	9 Por Zabulón, Eliab, hijo de Jelón.
10 Of the sons of Joseph: for Ephraim, Elishama son of Ammihud; for Manasseh, Gamaliel son ofPedahzur.	10 Por los hijos de José: por Efraím, Elisamá, hijo de Ammihud; por Manasés, Gamaliel, hijo de Pedahsur.
11 For Benjamin, Abidan son of Gideoni.	11 Por Benjamín, Abidán, hijo de Guideoní.

15 For Naphtali, Ahira son of Enan.'	15 Por Neftalí, Ajirá, hijo de Enán».
16 These were men of repute in the community; they were the leaders of their ancestral tribes, the headsof Israel's thousands.	16 Eran éstos afamados en la comunidad, principales de las tribus de sus antepasados, jefes de millar de Israel.
17 Moses and Aaron took these men who had been named	17 Moisés y Aarón tomaron a aquellos hombres que habían sido designados por sus nombres,
18 and on the first day of the second month they mustered the whole community. The Israelitesestablished their pedigrees by clans and families, and one by one the names of all men of twenty years and overwere recorded.	18 y convocaron a toda la comunidad, el día primero del mes segundo. 19 As Yahweh had ordered, Moses registered them in the desert of Sinai.	19 Tal como Yahveh se lo había mandado, les pasó revista Moisés en el desierto del Sinaí.
20 Once the pedigrees of the descendants of Reuben, Israel's first-born, had been established by clansand families, the names of all the males of twenty years and over, fit to bear arms, were recorded one by one.	20 Hecho el recuento de las parentelas de los hijos de Rubén, primogénito de Israel, por clanes y familias, anotados uno por uno los nombres de todos los varones de veinte años para arriba, útiles para la guerra,
21 The total of these for the tribe of Reuben was forty-six thousand five hundred.	21 resultaron los revistados de la tribu de Rubén, 46.500
22 Once the pedigrees of Simeon's descendants had been established by clans and families, the namesof al the males of twenty years and over, fit to bear arms, were recorded one by one.	22 Parentelas de los hijos de Simeón, por clanes y familias, anotados uno por uno los nombres de todos los varones de veinte años para arriba, útiles para la guerra:
23 The total of these for the tribe of Simeon was fifty-nine thousand three hundred.	23 59.300 revistados de la tribu de Simeón.
24 Once the pedigrees of Gad's descendants had been established by clans and families, the names ofal the males of twenty years and over, fit to bear arms, were recorded one by one.	24 Parentelas de los hijos de Gad, por clanes y familias, anotados uno por uno los nombres de todos los varones de veinte años para arriba, útiles para la guerra:
25 The total of these for the tribe of Gad was forty-five thousand six hundred and fifty.	25 45.650 revistados de la tribu de Gad.
26 Once the pedigrees of Judah's descendants had been established by clans and families, the namesof al the males of twenty years and over, fit to bear arms, were recorded one by one.	26 Parentelas de los hijos de Judá, por clanes y familias, anotados uno por uno los nombres de todos los varones de veinte años para arriba, útiles para la guerra:
27 The total of these for the tribe of Judah was seventy-four thousand six hundred.	27 74.600 revistados de la tribu de Judá.

30 Once the pedigrees of Zebulun's descendants had been established by clans and families, the namesof al the males of twenty years and over, fit to bear arms, were recorded one by one.	30 Parentelas de los hijos de Zabulón por clanes y familias, anotados uno por uno los nombres de todos los varones de veinte años para arriba, útiles para la guerra:
31 The total of these for the tribe of Zebulun was fifty-seven thousand four hundred.	31 57.400 revistados de la tribu de Zabulón.
32 As regards the descendants of Joseph: once the pedigrees of Ephraim's descendants had beenestablished by clans and families, the names of all the males of twenty years and over, fit to bear arms, wererecorded one by one.	32 De los hijos de José: Parentelas de los hijos de Efraím, por clanes y familias, anotados uno por uno los nombres de todos los varones de veinte años para arriba, útiles para la guerra:
33 The total of these for the tribe of Ephraim was forty thousand five hundred.	33 40.500 revistados de la tribu de Efraím.

38 Once the pedigrees of Dan's descendants had been established by clans and families, the names ofal the males of twenty years and over, fit to bear arms, were recorded one by one.	38 Parentelas de los hijos de Dan, por clanes y familias, anotados uno por uno los nombres de todos los varones de veinte años para arriba, útiles para la guerra:
39 The total of these for the tribe of Dan was sixty-two thousand seven hundred.	39 62.700 revistados de la tribu de Dan.
40 Once the pedigrees of Asher's descendants had been established by clans and families, the namesof al the males of twenty years and over, fit to bear arms, were recorded one by one.	40 Parentelas de los hijos de Aser, por clanes y familias, anotados uno por uno los nombres de todos los varones de veinte años para arriba, útiles para la guerra:
41 The total of these for the tribe of Asher was forty-one thousand five hundred.	41 41.500 revistados de la tribu de Aser.
42 Once the pedigrees of Naphtali's descendants had been established by clans and families, thenames of al the males of twenty years and over, fit to bear arms, were recorded one by one.	42 Parentelas de los hijos de Neftalí, por clanes y familias, anotados uno por uno los nombres de todos los varones de veinte años para arriba, útiles para la guerra:
43 The total of these for the tribe of Naphtali was fifty-three thousand four hundred.	43 53.400 revistados de la tribu de Neftalí.
44 Such were the men registered by Moses, Aaron and the leaders of Israel, of whom there were twelve,each representing his family.	44 Estos fueron los revistados por Moisés y Aarón y por los doce principales de Israel, que pertenecían cada uno a una casa paterna.
45 Al the Israelites of twenty years and over, fit to bear arms, were counted by families.	45 Sacado el total de los israelitas de veinte años para arriba, de todos los que había en Israel, útiles para la guerra, revistados por sus casas paternas,
46 Altogether, the total came to six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty.	46 resultó el total de revistados: 603.550.
47 But the Levites and their tribes were not included in the count.	47 Pero los levitas, y su tribu paterna, no fueron revistados con ellos.
48 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	48 Yahveh habló a Moisés y le dijo:
49 'Do not, however, take a census of the Levites, or register them with the other Israelites,	49 «No pases revista a la tribu de Leví ni hagas su padrón entre los demás israelitas.
50 but enrol the Levites to take charge of the Dwel ing where the Testimony is and of al its furnishingsand belongings. They must carry the Dwel ing and al its furnishings; they must look after the Dwel ing and pitchtheir camp round it.	50 Alista tú mismo a los levitas para el servicio de la Morada del Testimonio, de todos sus utensilios y de todo lo que se relaciona con ella. Ellos han de llevar la Morada con todos sus utensilios, estarán al servicio de ella y acamparán en torno a ella.
51 Whenever the Dwelling is moved, the Levites will dismantle it; whenever the Dwel ing stops for thenight, the Levites wil erect it. Any unauthorised person coming near it will be put to death.	51 Cuando haya de trasladarse la Morada, la desmontarán los levitas, y cuando la Morada se detenga, los levitas la montarán. El laico que se acerque, será muerto.
52 The Israelites wil pitch their tents, each in their own encampment and by their own standard,company by company,	52 Los israelitas acamparán cada uno en su campamento y bajo su bandera, por cuerpos de ejército.
53 but the Levites wil pitch their tents round the Dwel ing where the Testimony is. In this way Retributionwil be kept from fal ing on the whole community of Israelites, and the Levites wil keep charge of the Dwel ing ofthe Testimony.'	53 Pero los levitas acamparán alrededor de la Morada del Testimonio; y así no se desatará la Cólera contra la comunidad de los israelitas. Los levitas se encargarán del ministerio de la Morada del Testimonio.»
54 The Israelites did exactly as Yahweh had ordered Moses. They did as he said.	54 Los israelitas lo hicieron tal como se lo había mandado Yahveh a Moisés. Así lo hicieron.
