1 [Psalm Song For the Sabbath] It is good to give thanks to Yahweh, to make music for your name, MostHigh,	1 Salmo. Canto. Per il giorno del sabato.
2 to proclaim your faithful love at daybreak, and your constancy al through the night,	2 È bello rendere grazie al Signoree cantare al tuo nome, o Altissimo,
3 on the lyre, the ten-stringed lyre, to the murmur of the harp.	3 annunciare al mattino il tuo amore,la tua fedeltà lungo la notte,
4 You have brought me joy, Yahweh, by your deeds, at the work of your hands I cry out,	4 sulle dieci corde e sull’arpa,con arie sulla cetra.
5 'How great are your works, Yahweh, immensely deep your thoughts!'	5 Perché mi dai gioia, Signore, con le tue meraviglie,esulto per l’opera delle tue mani.
6 Stupid people cannot realise this, fools do not grasp it.	6 Come sono grandi le tue opere, Signore,quanto profondi i tuoi pensieri!
7 The wicked may sprout like weeds, and every evil-doer flourish, but only to be eternally destroyed;	7 L’uomo insensato non li conoscee lo stolto non li capisce:
8 whereas you are supreme for ever, Yahweh.	8 se i malvagi spuntano come l’erbae fioriscono tutti i malfattori,è solo per la loro eterna rovina,
9 Look how your enemies perish, how all evil-doers are scattered!	9 ma tu, o Signore, sei l’eccelso per sempre.
10 You give me the strength of the wild ox, you anoint me with fresh oil;	10 Ecco, i tuoi nemici, o Signore,i tuoi nemici, ecco, periranno,saranno dispersi tutti i malfattori.
11 I caught sight of the ambush against me, overheard the plans of the wicked.	11 Tu mi doni la forza di un bufalo,mi hai cosparso di olio splendente.
12 The upright wil flourish like the palm tree, will grow like a cedar of Lebanon.	12 I miei occhi disprezzeranno i miei nemicie, contro quelli che mi assalgono,i miei orecchi udranno sventure.
13 Planted in the house of Yahweh, they wil flourish in the courts of our God.	13 Il giusto fiorirà come palma,crescerà come cedro del Libano;
14 In old age they wil stil bear fruit, wil remain fresh and green,	14 piantati nella casa del Signore,fioriranno negli atri del nostro Dio.
15 to proclaim Yahweh's integrity; my rock, in whom no fault can be found.	15 Nella vecchiaia daranno ancora frutti,saranno verdi e rigogliosi,
	16 per annunciare quanto è retto il Signore,mia roccia: in lui non c’è malvagità.
