Psalms 92

NEW JERUSALEM	NOVA VULGATA
1 [Psalm Song For the Sabbath] It is good to give thanks to Yahweh, to make music for your name, MostHigh,	1 Psalmus. Canticum. Pro die Sabbati.
2 to proclaim your faithful love at daybreak, and your constancy al through the night,	2 Bonum est confiteri Domino et psallere nomini tuo, Altissime,
3 on the lyre, the ten-stringed lyre, to the murmur of the harp.	3 annuntiare mane misericordiam tuam et veritatem tuam per noctem
4 You have brought me joy, Yahweh, by your deeds, at the work of your hands I cry out,	4 in decachordo et psalterio, cum cantico in cithara.
5 'How great are your works, Yahweh, immensely deep your thoughts!'	5 Quia delectasti me, Domine, in factura tua, et in operibus manuum tuarum exsultabo.
6 Stupid people cannot realise this, fools do not grasp it.	6 Quam magnificata sunt opera tua, Domine: nimis profundae factae sunt cogitationes tuae.
7 The wicked may sprout like weeds, and every evil-doer flourish, but only to be eternally destroyed;	7 Vir insipiens non cognoscet, et stultus non intelleget haec.
8 whereas you are supreme for ever, Yahweh.	8 Cum germinaverint peccatores sicut fenum, et floruerint omnes, qui operantur iniquitatem, hoc tamen erit ad interitum in saeculum saeculi;
9 Look how your enemies perish, how all evil-doers are scattered!	9 tu autem altissimus in aeternum, Domine.
10 You give me the strength of the wild ox, you anoint me with fresh oil;	10 Quoniam ecce inimici tui, Domine, quoniam ecce inimici tui peribunt, et dispergentur omnes, qui operantur iniquitatem.
11 I caught sight of the ambush against me, overheard the plans of the wicked.	11 Exaltabis sicut unicornis cornu meum, perfusus sum oleo uberi.
12 The upright wil flourish like the palm tree, will grow like a cedar of Lebanon.	12 Et despiciet oculus meus inimicos meos, et in insurgentibus in me malignantibus audiet auris mea. -
13 Planted in the house of Yahweh, they wil flourish in the courts of our God.	13 Iustus ut palma florebit, sicut cedrus Libani succrescet.
14 In old age they wil stil bear fruit, wil remain fresh and green,	14 Plantati in domo Domini, in atriis Dei nostri florebunt.
15 to proclaim Yahweh's integrity; my rock, in whom no fault can be found.	15 Adhuc fructus dabunt in senecta, uberes et bene virentes erunt,
	16 ut annuntient quoniam rectus Dominus, refugium meum, et non est iniquitas in eo.
