1 [Of Solomon] God, endow the king with your own fair judgement, the son of the king with your ownsaving justice,	1 Salamontól.
2 that he may rule your people with justice, and your poor with fair judgement.	2 Isten, add át ítéletedet a királynak, igazságodat a király fiának, hogy igazságosan ítélje népedet, és méltányosan szegényeidet.
3 Mountains and hil s, bring peace to the people! With justice	3 Békét teremjenek a hegyek a népnek, és igazságot a halmok.
4 he wil judge the poor of the people, he wil save the children of the needy and crush their oppressors.	4 Szolgáltasson igazságot a nép szegényeinek, nyújtson a szegények fiainak segítséget, s alázza meg az erőszakoskodót.
5 In the sight of the sun and the moon he wil endure, age after age.	5 Éljen, amíg a nap és a hold, nemzedékről nemzedékre.
6 He will come down like rain on mown grass, like showers moistening the land.	6 Úgy szálljon le, mint az eső a rétre, s mint ahogy az esőcsepp öntözi a földet.
7 In his days uprightness shal flourish, and peace in plenty till the moon is no more.	7 Virágozzék napjaiban az igazság és a béke teljessége, amíg a hold el nem múlik.
8 His empire shal stretch from sea to sea, from the river to the limits of the earth.	8 Uralkodjék tengertől tengerig, A folyamtól a földkerekség széléig.
9 The Beast wil cower before him, his enemies lick the dust;	9 Boruljanak le előtte a sivatag lakói s ellenségei nyalják a port.
10 the kings of Tarshish and the islands wil pay him tribute. The kings of Sheba and Saba wil offer gifts;	10 Tarzis királyai és a szigetek hordjanak adományokat, Arábia és Sába királyai ajándékokat hozzanak.
11 all kings will do him homage, al nations become his servants.	11 A föld minden királya hódoljon előtte, s legyen minden nemzet a szolgája.
12 For he rescues the needy who cal s to him, and the poor who has no one to help.	12 Mert ő megszabadítja a szegényt, aki hozzá kiált, s a szűkölködőt, akin senki sem segít.
13 He has pity on the weak and the needy, and saves the needy from death.	13 Megkönyörül a szegényen és a nincstelenen és megszabadítja a szűkölködőket.
14 From oppression and violence he redeems their lives, their blood is precious in his sight.	14 Megmenti őket az elnyomástól és az erőszaktól, mert szemében drága az ő vérük.

17 May his name be blessed for ever, and endure in the sight of the sun. In him shal be blessed everyrace in the world, and all nations call him blessed.	17 Áldott legyen neve mindörökre, maradjon meg neve, amíg a nap ragyog; Benne nyerjen áldást a föld minden nemzetsége, dicsérje őt minden nemzet!
18 Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel, who alone works wonders;	18 Áldott legyen az Úr Isten, Izrael Istene, egyedül ő művel csodákat.
19 blessed for ever his glorious name. May the whole world be fil ed with his glory! Amen! Amen!	19 Áldott legyen az ő fölséges neve örökre, teljék be fölségével az egész világ! Ámen! Ámen!
