1 [Of Solomon] God, endow the king with your own fair judgement, the son of the king with your ownsaving justice,	1 Di Salomone.O Dio, affida al re il tuo diritto,al figlio di re la tua giustizia;
2 that he may rule your people with justice, and your poor with fair judgement.	2 egli giudichi il tuo popolo secondo giustiziae i tuoi poveri secondo il diritto.
3 Mountains and hil s, bring peace to the people! With justice	3 Le montagne portino pace al popoloe le colline giustizia.
4 he wil judge the poor of the people, he wil save the children of the needy and crush their oppressors.	4 Ai poveri del popolo renda giustizia,salvi i figli del miseroe abbatta l’oppressore.
5 In the sight of the sun and the moon he wil endure, age after age.	5 Ti faccia durare quanto il sole,come la luna, di generazione in generazione.
6 He will come down like rain on mown grass, like showers moistening the land.	6 Scenda come pioggia sull’erba,come acqua che irrora la terra.
7 In his days uprightness shal flourish, and peace in plenty till the moon is no more.	7 Nei suoi giorni fiorisca il giustoe abbondi la pace,finché non si spenga la luna.
8 His empire shal stretch from sea to sea, from the river to the limits of the earth.	8 E dòmini da mare a mare,dal fiume sino ai confini della terra.
9 The Beast wil cower before him, his enemies lick the dust;	9 A lui si pieghino le tribù del deserto,mordano la polvere i suoi nemici.
10 the kings of Tarshish and the islands wil pay him tribute. The kings of Sheba and Saba wil offer gifts;	10 I re di Tarsis e delle isole portino tributi,i re di Saba e di Seba offrano doni.
11 all kings will do him homage, al nations become his servants.	11 Tutti i re si prostrino a lui,lo servano tutte le genti.
12 For he rescues the needy who cal s to him, and the poor who has no one to help.	12 Perché egli libererà il misero che invocae il povero che non trova aiuto.
13 He has pity on the weak and the needy, and saves the needy from death.	13 Abbia pietà del debole e del miseroe salvi la vita dei miseri.
14 From oppression and violence he redeems their lives, their blood is precious in his sight.	14 Li riscatti dalla violenza e dal sopruso,sia prezioso ai suoi occhi il loro sangue.
15 (Long may he live; may the gold of Sheba be given him!) Prayer wil be offered for him constantly,and blessings invoked on him al day.	15 Viva e gli sia dato oro di Arabia,si preghi sempre per lui,sia benedetto ogni giorno.
16 May wheat abound in the land, waving on the heights of the hills, like Lebanon with its fruits andflowers at their best, like the grasses of the earth.	16 Abbondi il frumento nel paese,ondeggi sulle cime dei monti;il suo frutto fiorisca come il Libano,la sua messe come l’erba dei campi.
17 May his name be blessed for ever, and endure in the sight of the sun. In him shal be blessed everyrace in the world, and all nations call him blessed.	17 Il suo nome duri in eterno,davanti al sole germogli il suo nome.In lui siano benedette tutte le stirpi della terrae tutte le genti lo dicano beato.
18 Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel, who alone works wonders;	18 Benedetto il Signore, Dio d’Israele:egli solo compie meraviglie.
19 blessed for ever his glorious name. May the whole world be fil ed with his glory! Amen! Amen!	19 E benedetto il suo nome glorioso per sempre:della sua gloria sia piena tutta la terra.Amen, amen.
